"What the hell is he doing?!"

Raiden shouted over the noise, equally stunned by the boss’s strange behavior.

We received our answer almost immediately.

Out of nowhere, magic circles began forming around the Knight Commander.

At first, we assumed they were some kind of spells.

But we quickly realized that was not the case at all.

"Those..."

Luna’s expression darkened the instant she recognized them, faster than anyone else.

"They’re summoning circles..."

And she was right.

Those circles were gateways.

Gateways from which enemies began pouring out.

Dozens of them.

"Hahaha... I was wondering why we didn’t run into any knights on our way here..."

A dry laugh escaped my lips as I watched an army take shape before my eyes.

"Turns out they were all here..."

The battlefield was quickly flooded by hordes of Black Knights. Their numbers were staggering, and within mere seconds, I had already counted at least fifty of them.

This was bad.

We had come here intending to fight a single enemy and take advantage of our superior numbers, only for him to completely erase that advantage and turn it against us.

"This is impossible... How are we supposed to fight that many?"

Alicia staggered backward in fear at the sight of the battalion before us, and not a single person present had the courage to criticize her for it.

Everyone’s expressions stiffened as the knights stomped their feet against the ground in perfect unison.

"Let’s retreat. Maybe we can come up with another plan if we do."

Luna made the suggestion, and from the looks on everyone’s faces, most of them were already leaning toward agreeing with her, especially the Hunters from the other teams who had accompanied us.

"No! We are not leaving this room, no matter what happens!"

I immediately intervened before the idea of running away could take root in their minds.

"If we retreat now, there’s no guarantee the Knight Commander will remain here."

"We fight! That’s what we came here to do, and that’s exactly what we’re going to do!"

I shouted as loudly as I could, forcing my voice to remain as steady as possible.

Then, without giving anyone time to hesitate, I launched a surprise attack.

I hurled the Executioner’s Sword straight toward the horde of knights.

I had already reinforced my body with Aura Armor beforehand, making the throw incredibly fast. The sword tore through the air like a spear.

But I wasn’t finished.

Using Telekinesis, the sword’s own ability, I seized control of it with practiced precision and redirected its trajectory toward the Knight Commander after it passed over his followers.

My strength was currently around the middle of the Elite Rank.

Combined with the additional force granted by my mechanical arm and the acceleration from Telekinesis, the Executioner’s Sword flew even faster than an arrow.

Yet the Knight Commander deflected it with ridiculous ease.

His greatsword, engulfed in black flames, struck my weapon aside with a single motion.

The Executioner’s Sword crashed into the ground beside him, while crimson energy briefly seeped through its blade.

Despite him blocking the attack, the Legion Arm still registered it as a successful hit.

My Overcharge ability began counting.

1/10.

The number appeared among the Legion Arm’s abilities.

"We landed the first blow! That means we’re the attackers here, not them!"

"Get yourselves together and prepare to fight! The battle has already begun!"

Fortunately, my improvised stunt seemed to work.

Most of them immediately began taking their positions in our battle formation.

"I’ll prepare a large-scale spell as quickly as I can, so hold them back until then."

Luna gripped her staff as it began glowing intensely, while the other Mage, Schierke, prepared to follow her lead.

"I-I’ll cast a powerful spell too!"

Schierke shouted with a slight stammer, but I stopped her immediately.

"No. We need one Mage actively supporting us throughout the fight."

"Even low and mid-level spells will help. We’ll definitely need them."

I took a deep breath before turning toward Luna.

’Luna... wait before deciding on your spell. I’ll tell you which element he’s weak against in a moment.’

This time, I sent the message through telepathy.

I didn’t want the others hearing it.

Luna looked doubtful.

’How exactly are you going to figure out his weakness?’

’I have my ways.’

I had Raiden and the other close-range Hunters move forward to intercept the approaching knights.

Then I fixed my gaze on the Knight Commander and whispered beneath my breath.

’Wise Raven insight .’

The moment I activated the visual ability, my eyes began seeing what no one else could.

A massive red health bar appeared beneath the Knight Commander.

Most of his statistics surfaced before my eyes as well.

I focused on the energies surrounding him, searching for anything that could be exploited.

It didn’t take long to find his weakness.

And I had to admit...

He didn’t have many.

’His weakness is Frostbite. Use the strongest ice spell you have.’

I transmitted the information to Luna.

She stared at me in confusion for a brief moment, but eventually gave me a small nod. She chose to trust me rather than waste time asking questions.

Her incantation began immediately.

Mana surged violently around her, enough to make it obvious that whatever she was preparing was going to be extremely powerful.

Exactly what I expected from her.

I turned my attention forward again, keeping my eyes fixed on the Knight Commander.

That thing...

Was a genuine monster.

...

Knight Commander, Aldebaran

Level: 58

Weakness: Frostbite

Resistance: All Physical Attacks

...

The Knight Commander...

Aldebaran.

He was an incredibly troublesome opponent.

He possessed only a single weakness while being highly resistant to every form of physical attack, making him an absolute nightmare to fight.

A ridiculously durable bastard.

His armor was probably the main reason.

And that greatsword burning with black flames looked equally troublesome.

But neither of those things was what caught my attention the most.

Wise Raven insight allowed me to see something else.

Something I couldn’t quite understand.

Several threads of dark mana stretched outward from Aldebaran’s body.

Each one connected him to one of his followers.

As though they were puppets...

And he was the one holding their strings.

The battle at the front had already begun.

Several knights charged at once, yet strangely enough, less than half of them actually attacked.

The rest remained behind Aldebaran.

Standing perfectly still at his back.

"Why isn’t he attacking with all of his knights?"

It was strange.

And I highly doubted a boss like this would do anything without a reason.

If I wanted to uncover the truth, I needed to force him to reveal his hand.

And there was only one way to do that.

Fight him.

’Everyone, protect Luna! Do not let a single knight reach her, no matter what!’

I transmitted the order to everyone through telepathy.

Raiden immediately turned toward me, clearly sensing that I was about to do something that had never been part of the plan.

’What about you?’

I answered him with a grin as I raised my arm and fired the grappling hook.

’I’m going to play with the Knight Commander for a bit!’
