The Lady's Butler: I Reincarnated To Serve The Villainess

Chapter 203: Lucian Vs Orion

Chapter 203: Lucian Vs Orion

"FOR THE THIRD MATCH OF THE TOURNAMENT," the herald’s voice was heard again, "REPRESENTING THE SOUTH, LORD ORION LIONHEART."

The crowd was the loudest they had ever been after that announcement.

It was finally time for the hosts to show off what they were capable of, and the South made it known exactly how excitedly they had been waiting for that.

"HIS OPPONENT," the herald paused for dramatic effect, though everyone knew who he was about to announce, "REPRESENTING THE ROYAL FAMILY, PRINCE LUCIAN LIGHTBRINGER."

Again, the crowd started cheering as the two representatives walked out of the preparation area and towards the arena.

Orion had a small smile on his face as he looked at the prince standing opposite him. The kid seemed to have a lot on his mind, but he soon let out a sigh, and his expression turned serious.

"Let’s have a good fight," Lucian said.

"Agreed," Orion replied with a smile.

The two looked at each other for a moment before the herald’s voice came again.

"BEGIN!"

Orion made the first move in an attempt to dictate the flow of this battle.

He was a veteran fighter, and it showed immediately.

He made no wasted movement as he quickly closed the distance before striking with the minimum force possible to the maximum effect.

Lucian was forced to quickly lift his sword and block Orion’s fists that were coated in blue flames.

What he did not expect were the flames exploding, releasing a force into his sword that lifted him off his feet and sent him skidding backwards across the arena floor.

He quickly stabbed his sword into the arena floor to stop himself before looking towards his opponent, only to find a dragon made of blue flames heading towards him.

Lucian quickly raised his sword, and from the blade formed a translucent golden barrier made of hard light.

BOOM!

The dragon exploded the minute it crashed into the barrier, this time launching the prince into the barrier surrounding the arena.

The South’s crowd erupted in a wave of cheers as they watched one of theirs easily gain the upper hand in the fight, and from the looks of it, it would remain that way.

After all, Orion was giving no chance for the prince to recover and fight back.

His attacks were so much that a cloud of smoke was quickly building up within the barrier.

BOOM!

One more flame dragon crashed into the barrier that the prince had created to protect himself.

The barrier held on, but cracks were quickly forming on its surface, and Orion quickly noticed this, so he formed another dragon.

In the preparation room, Darius looked at the screen with a frown. Of course, he knew his brother was strong, but the fight seemed too easy.

Adrian, on the other hand, just continued looking on without comment.

Back in the arena, the smoke cloud had built up enough that visibility within the barrier was almost zero.

Orion frowned as he saw that although his flame dragon finally broke through the barrier, he was certain it didn’t hit anything.

It was almost as if his opponent was gone completely.

To be certain, Orion formed what seemed to be a small bug made of flames and launched it through the smoke.

The next second, the bug exploded, immediately clearing the smoke, revealing that the prince was indeed gone.

Before Orion had the chance to put up his guard, a beam of light slammed into his back, launching him towards the barrier.

The crowd, which had been confused by the moment of nothing followed by Lucian suddenly reappearing from the thin air, caught up all at once and responded accordingly.

Even the South appreciated a good surprise after all, a completely one-sided match was never fun to watch.

Orion recovered and turned towards the direction where his attacker had reappeared.

"Invisibility, huh?" He immediately realized what had just happened, but Lucian said nothing in response.

Which was strange.

His eyes narrowed as he looked at his opponent, but the moment he noticed that a kind of bending light,

BOOM!

A concentrated beam of golden light slammed into him from directly overhead, driving him into the arena floor hard enough to crack it.

Lucian appeared above him, and the one before him dissipated, revealing that it was a clone all along.

The prince had planned this from the moment the smoke started building up.

He had used his clone as a distraction so that Orion wouldn’t expect an attack from every other direction.

And it had worked incredibly well.

Letting out a cough, Orion lifted himself off the crater formed in the shape of his body, spat out a mouthful of blood and finally looked up at his opponent.

"How smart," he said with a smile, "I wish my younger brother were just as smart, but that’s an impossibility. "

Lucian chuckled, realizing exactly who was being referred to.

"Shall we end this?" Orion asked as blue flames covered his entire body and he lifted himself into the air.

"Of course," Lucian said, and behind him formed what seemed to be multiple flat circles.

In response, Orion also formed multiple blue flame dragons that surrounded him.

The two silently looked at each other for a while, and as if a whistle was blown, they immediately launched their attacks.

From the circles formed around the prince came beams of light that clashed head-on with Orion’s flame dragons.

The clash caused the entire barrier to be filled with both light and smoke, blinding the spectators for a while and hiding the results of the clash.

The smoke and light slowly cleared up, revealing Orion on one knee, his blue flames considerably dimmer than they had been, and his palm was flat on the ground.

Lucian, on the other hand, was still standing, though barely.

The two seemed to have forgotten that this was only their first match of the day, as they had gone all out.

But the fight was clearly over, and Orion confirmed that.

"I surrender," he said.

The arena immediately erupted in cheers as the herald announced.

"ORION LIONHEART SURRENDERS! LUCIAN LIGHTBRINGER WINS THE THIRD MATCH!"
