The King of Urban Mercenaries
Chapter 1941: Reunion with Family
Chapter 1941: Chapter 1946: Reunion with Family
After Lin Fei talked about wanting to search for his family, the Sect Master of Qianhuang Peak smiled. “Such a small matter isn’t worth mentioning. I’ll have someone do it right away!”
“Wait a moment, Sect Master.” Seeing how they were about to rush off, Lin Fei quickly said, “Sect Master, this can’t be handled so hastily, or they won’t believe it. After all, Qianhuang Peak previously issued a warrant for me. So when you spread the news, I hope you’ll include their names.”
“Understood, I’ll see to it at once.” The Sect Master personally went to handle it, and with Lin Fei’s help, he wrote down their names one by one. Then Lin Fei stayed quietly in Qianhuang Peak, waiting.
Meanwhile, Mu Shanshan and the others were in a city, all gathered together. After coming to the Upper Realm, their strength was very weak and they had no one to rely on. So they didn’t split up; they stayed together. But even so, they still ran into plenty of scum who set their sights on Mu Shanshan and the others.
Fortunately, later on Sun Peier and the others had Zhang Fan to protect them, as well as Lin Fei’s three brothers Radar, Xue Zhi, and Butcher. Under constant pressure, their strength improved a lot, all reaching the Nascent Soul Realm. Of course, that still couldn’t compare to Lin Fei.
But they were already doing very well. At a time like this, for their cultivation to keep growing under oppression, and with the fact that they had to find Lin Fei, they’d been fighting with everything they had.
Then today they suddenly heard some news: word from Qianhuang Peak that listed all of their names one by one, and even asked them to go to Qianhuang Peak?
Radar, Butcher, and the rest formed a circle, gathering together to discuss it with Mu Shanshan and the others. In the end, they decided to head to Qianhuang Peak and take a look. Even though they didn’t know whether it was real or not, they still clung to that sliver of hope.
“How is it? Is it true?”
Zhang Fan and the others had already arrived at Qianhuang Peak, and Zhang Fan, whose cultivation was the highest, went to scout ahead. When he finally returned, Butcher and the rest immediately crowded around him, asking for the result.
“Sigh! Our days of suffering are finally over!” With a sigh, a figure appeared in front of everyone. Zhang Fan smiled. “Look who I brought back.”
Finally, when everyone got a clear look at that person, they all instantly fell silent. This was the man they thought about day and night, the one they wanted to see more than anyone. Yet now that he was right in front of them, they didn’t even know what to say.
“Has everyone been well?” Lin Fei asked.
The others couldn’t hold back anymore and rushed toward Lin Fei.
“Hahahaha! Boss, we finally see you again!”
“Yeah, Boss, we haven’t seen you for so long, how come you look even younger!”
“Lin Fei!”
“Move it, you lot. Let the sisters-in-law go first, we can talk later.” Radar said.
Radar and Butcher quickly stepped aside, each one making way for Mu Shanshan and the others, leaving a path for Lin Fei and Mu Shanshan, Ling Weiwei, Xia Xue to properly reunite. Meanwhile, they each wrapped an arm around their own woman, happily watching the scene.
Lin Fei hadn’t seen Mu Shanshan for a long time. Seeing her exquisite features filled with joy and relief, he pulled her into his arms. No words were needed.
The two of them quietly savored each other’s embrace. Just like that, an entire day passed.
The next day, a few of them appeared in Qianhuang Peak. After their reunion, Lin Fei spent several days accompanying his wife and children, and then he had no choice but to face a problem head-on.
“Zhang Fan, thank you.” Lin Fei said. As a friend, Zhang Fan had already gone above and beyond.
“What’s there to thank? For me, this was just tempering myself. It’s just a pity that your strength rose too fast; I simply can’t catch up. King Level… that’s a realm we never even dared to imagine!” Zhang Fan said. He hadn’t expected Lin Fei’s strength to be so terrifying. On top of his shock, he also felt endless joy and excitement.
“It’s fine, take it slow. One day you’ll surpass me.” Lin Fei said.
“Hope so. I haven’t given up yet, hahaha.” Zhang Fan laughed loudly. He and Lin Fei laughed together. The two of them were straightforward, hearty types, which is why they’d clicked back then and become friends.
After spending a few tender days with Mu Shanshan and the others, Lin Fei was ready to get down to serious business.
Today Lin Fei invited his three brothers—Radar, Butcher, and Xue Zhi—to sit with him on a mountain peak. At first, Butcher complained as he came up, but now, with good food and fine wine in front of him, he’d long since shut his mouth.
“Boss, why did you call us over today? What’s this about?” Xue Zhi asked. He had already noticed something out of the ordinary. The few of them had been together for so many years; they could tell what was going on with just a glance. So they all understood that Lin Fei definitely had something important to say today.
After Xue Zhi said that, the other two quieted down as well. Butcher put down his chicken leg and said, “Boss, what’s up with you? Is there something you need to say? If you’ve got something to say, just say it. We’re brothers.”
“Yeah, Boss, whatever it is, just say it. We’re listening.” Radar said.
Lin Fei looked at these three brothers, who had fought life-and-death battles with him, met him in the Lower Realm, practically like one person. And of course there was Little Tiger too. Sadly, Little Tiger had died early; otherwise…”
“Brothers, after all these years, how do you feel I’ve treated you?” Lin Fei suddenly asked.
“Boss has been nothing but good to us! Really good. What’s wrong, Boss? Did something happen?” Radar asked.
Lin Fei smiled, then looked at Butcher and Xue Zhi. “And you two?”
“Same as Radar.”
“Yeah, same. Boss treats us great!” Butcher said.
Looking at them, Lin Fei didn’t know how to begin. But now he could no longer avoid it. Time waited for no one; Lin Fei knew that if he kept dragging this out, he had no idea what unexpected changes might occur.
“Boss, just say it. We’re listening.” Xue Zhi said. They felt like Lin Fei was in the middle of making a difficult choice, as if he couldn’t bring himself to speak for a moment.
“Since you want me to say it, I will. I want to ask you: if I told you to die, would you obey me?”
Lin Fei was deadly serious at this moment, utterly earnest. The instant he saw the three, he’d felt it—that strange sensation telling him that the three men in front of him were an indispensable part of him, because they were… one body!
But! Could the three of them accept that?
Butcher froze, Xue Zhi also froze, and Radar was stunned as well, unable to understand why Lin Fei would suddenly say something like that.
