Chapter 283 - Grandchildren!!!!
Back at the Johnson mansion.
Shirley and Emily sat in the garden when they had the fresh tea. "Thank you." Shirley shared with a smile when one of the maids poured the tea into their respective cups.
Her eyes were shining when she wrapped the shawl around the shoulders of the most prestigious lady and looked at Emily.
"Where were you lost? After the engagement, I didn't come into your view even a bit." Shirley tried to speak to which Emily just pulled her lips upwards.
"I had some work to do. Anyways, it is now done, so I will come back. Since the engagement was held in such a hurry, many things were left to be undertaken." Emily's answer gained a nod from Shirley.
Taking a sip of their tea, they both looked at the fountain nearby them. "You're Not only Ms. Dakota anymore. You have been converted into a Johnsons now."
Averting his gaze back to Emily's figure, she continued, "Start using this name. Javier is your fiance, you have his ring. No one has the power to even stop you from doing any more."
"S-sure!" Emily's eyes glowed with a slight glint but in contrast to that, her body language told another tale.
Gulping his saliva present in her mouth, her lips pressed into a straight line, not much to Shirley's notice.
They both continued to sip the tea while looking at the green view in front of them. The air was pleasant, fresh to inhale but Emily was in the deep thought of being lifted into the things.
From the corner of her eyes, she looked at Shirley who looked too cute and free-spirited. 'Only if she knew..'
Coughing lightly, she gained the lady's attention towards herself once again, "Mrs. Johnson, I was thinking, has Lucas fulfilled your demands? I don't wish to see Jennifer in front of my eyes anymore."
Hearing her question, Shirley had no reply. Her lips were sealed. No words came out of her mouth anymore. All she did was sip her tea in a quiet manner.
But the silence between the two made Emily quite worried. A frown settled down her forehead when she asked further, "Mrs. Johnson. Is everything fine?"
"Yeah? See, these things are something handled by my husband. It can be told only by Shawn whether Lucas has fulfilled the demand for not."
Shirley put the entire push on Shawn, not even trying to utter anything. 'What if I say something secretive?'' Getting used and facing the consequences would be the last thing she has on her bucket list
Risking it for Emily isn't worth it in her eyes.
Yet this wasn't enough to give Emily a satisfying answer. "But still… he is your husband. I don't have the wish to see that lady. Did you see how she gets close to Javier?"
"You're his fiance. That is your responsibility to handle these types of bees around him." At this stage, Emily kept her tea back on the coffee table when she leaned backward on her chair.
Raising her eyebrows, a smirk lingered on her lips when she told, "Bees? My Javier doesn't even give a shit to these kinds of beggars!"
"Oh really?" Shirley really had to bring her hand above to stop her laugh. If only this lady could shield away from her arrogance and see the real truth bomb in front of all of them.
"If not, then do I need to make you remember how that whore threw you out of his room? Without your permission?" The comment and recall of the event made Emily's smirk vanish.
She immediately grabbed the clothing of hers with her tight grip around it. Nervousness and anxiousness were written all over her face, depicting how badly she wished to erase that past from everyone's memories.
"This is an old tale now…" Emily spoke in the timid voice to which Shirley just gave a chuckling laugh, "Is that so? This happened not long ago."
The sarcasticness was clear which made Emily send glare in Shirley's directions. But it didn't make the difference as Shirley continued to act mighty.
"Stop saying that before.."
"Before what!? Emily, try keeping your eyes on your hunk. Javier isn't young, neither are you. And I have a secret to tell you."
Shirley's words struck Emily a little bit and then she looked at Shirley as if she was anticipating the answer. Yet, there was only deep quietness between them as Shirley had no intention to reveal it so soon.
"At least tell me now!" Emily shouted harshly, with her face getting crumbled due to the un-patience ness in her actions. While Shirley ensured the same, Emily felt the unknown uneasiness taking place inside her mind.
Gulping the saliva, she tried to calm herself down. But then she failed when Shirley just gave her a meaningful gaze which added to her distress.
"Just go ahead and speak to Mrs. JOHNSONS! I don't have enough time!" At last, Shirley just rolled her eyes at her speech. "You know you are talking with your future mother-in-law? Is this your tongue?"
The state brought a scoff to Emily's mouth when her lips tasted. "Future Mother in law? My tongue? We both have dipped our hands in crime so much that I don't think so, we both need to even respect each other."
Knowing this lady very well, Emily held all the secrets, at least the majority of them with her mouth. None of them was a saint, but both of them had tried to merge their evil side and not score well.
Nevertheless, this bond strongly formed just to get Jennifer hell out of this house. "Are you threatening me?"
"Reminding you your place and if you be in that limit." Answered Shirley to which Emily didn't react. All she was curious to learn was what this lady had to say.
Doesn't know what debts Shirley has to reveal to her?
It took a lot of time when Shirley finally spilled the beans out of her mouth.
"Shawn is looking forward to grandchildren.. He won't ask Charles to have one but Javier and you… you do have a chance."
