The man slowly traced the geometric shapes carved into the floor of the grey‑stone tower, kneeling as he examined them closely. Beside him lay an open journal, its pages filled with dense, hurried notes. He flipped to the next page, scanned it, then returned to the runes.

Everything is ready, he thought.

The answer to the realm’s greatest mystery sat in a simple notebook on the floor of a forgotten tower. The thought made him smirk. He brushed a strand of long blond hair behind his ear and rose to his full two‑meter height — a posture that let him tower over nearly everyone he met. His eyes drifted along the tall stone walls outside the tower before he turned toward the exit, leaving the notebook where it lay.

It’s not like they’d be able to read it anyway. Nobody here can read English.

“Sir,” a guard said as he stepped onto the small landing outside the lone door to the tower’s top floor. “They are waiting for your command.”

Author’s Note: And just like that, a new journey begins.

Thank you for reading The Iron Lord. I say this with every book but I truly mean it – without readers like you, my books would not exist. I would have given up writing long ago, and these ideas would just continue to sit in my head and drive me crazy – so thank you.

If you’ll indulge me a little longer…

I’ve had the ideas for this series bouncing around in my head for about two years now. As I finished Synthesis, then Royal Blooded (my other 2 series), those ideas coalesced into a coherent story. By the time I’d finished Royal Blooded 5 and the short stories for the Synthesis Omnibus edition I was excited to start writing this one, and I’m very happy with how it’s turned out.

There are some people who helped me along the way though, and I’d be remiss if I didn’t recognize them. First and foremost my wife and son for their unending patience as I stayed up late writing. The HaremLit community in general was also an incredible source of support, including two users in particular: Cantriped, and Devon Hexx (whose series “The Onyx Throne” is excellent and you should check out if you liked this story).

While this book was technically a mono-romance, this is the first book in a planned series. Hannah is too fun to write to not have her reappear later, and there are a few other love interests I already have in mind who I’m excited about. I hope you stick around to see how that plays out.

As always, if you enjoy what I’m writing and want to get in touch, please check out my website!
