The Invincible Strongest Student
Chapter 1376: A Chance Encounter at the Bar
Chapter 1376: Chapter 1376: A Chance Encounter at the Bar
Heavenly Charm, that’s the name a young post-80s guy came up with when he bought this bar twenty years ago.
Reckless and childish, yet it brings a knowing smile.
The bars in Houhai have their own charm, like this one here, which is filled with the nostalgic atmosphere of the 1980s. In place of loud music, there are old nostalgic songs, and old objects from childhood memories can be seen at a glance. You can even drink the orange soda from childhood here.
It’s run by Huang He’s cousin, and he likes coming here not to support the family business, but because he also enjoys the atmosphere here, as if the air is sweet like in childhood.
This place is like a sanctuary for Huang He, a place he comes to only when he’s upset or gathering with friends.
So he hasn’t brought a woman here before, and if he did, she’d definitely be his future wife.
Huang He is sipping a drink quietly, savoring the classic old song by Teacher Cui Jian—"Nothing to My Name".
Old songs are indeed timeless; each time they linger in the ears, they’re so pleasant. Nowadays, what’s even on the charts of those music portal websites?!
Huang He is in quite a good mood right now because he just got a call informing him that Li and Xv Qinghuan, that pair of scumbags, were hospitalized, though it’s a pity they didn’t die. But it’s fine; he can torture them slowly later! And that bastard Lin Tian!
While Huang He was lost in thought, suddenly a fragrance wafted over, followed by the sight of a beautiful woman sitting across from him.
"Hey handsome, isn’t it boring drinking alone?" Zhang Ya’Er familiarly picked up a glass from the table, opened the bottle of XO Huang He ordered, poured herself a small glass, and downed it in one gulp.
When Huang He usually goes to bars, he is typically with friends, so not many women approach him. Even when he comes to this bar alone, the number of times he’s approached isn’t few nor many, but none of those women catch his eye.
Yet this one in front of him could rate a solid nine.
Huang He’s scoring is straightforward: looks, temperament, and figure—none can be missing. What truly stirred Huang He’s heart was her look just now, as if it was speaking, and speaking love words.
Huang He likes pure women, but not only pure; he, like many other men, has a love for many types. And the mature woman in front of him fits his current aesthetic perfectly.
"So why, do beautiful women also have worries?" Huang He picked up the XO and poured Zhang Ya’Er another glass.
Zhang Ya’Er swirled her glass, clinked it against Huang He’s glass with a ring, and then downed another drink.
Huang He grinned, "Interesting."
Splat!
The glass landed heavily on the table, Zhang Ya’Er pointed at Huang He’s face and cursed: "You men, not a single good one, all jerks."
Huang He wasn’t offended, and said calmly, "Women love bad boys, actually not all men in the world are jerks, you just haven’t met a good one."
"Good man? Where?"
Huang He pointed to his nose, "Me."
"Pfft~" The liquor Zhang Ya’Er held in her mouth spewed out, not a single drop was wasted, all sprayed on Huang He’s face.
"Sorry, sorry, I was just too surprised." Zhang Ya’Er apologized.
Huang He’s expression turned somewhat awkward; today he had liquor splashed on him by Liou Qingcheng, Sisi, and Xv Qinghuan three times, and this brings it to a fifth! Plus, what does ’too surprised’ mean? Does he not look like a good man? Who’s being insulted here?
Even a clay figure would have some fire to them!
Just when Huang He was about to grab the half bottle of XO left on the table to pour it all over this woman. Zhang Ya’Er was ahead and snatched the bottle, then poured herself another glass, raising it as she said, "Consider this my apology to you."
Huang He’s anger dissipated a lot, everyone cares about face, Huang He particularly values it. This apology drink was considerate.
This was a smart woman.
Huang He thought.
"Still don’t know the beauty’s name." Huang He said.
"Amy."
"Huang He."
The two clinked glasses again and took a sip.
"I said half my troubles, now it’s your turn." Zhang Ya’Er said.
Huang He shook his head with a smile, "Who tells their story halfway, keeping others on tenterhooks, and then expects others to share theirs?"
Zhang Ya’Er flipped her hair, making her collarbone look more seductive in front of Huang He. "Don’t you find that makes it more intriguing?" she said.
Intriguing? That’s actually a relatively fresh word for Huang He, who usually dates pure girls, where could intrigue come from?
"Intrigue indeed, alright, let me share with you too. It’s actually simple, also an emotional issue. My girlfriend still thinks about her ex, and today she embarrassed me in front of him and a crowd of people." Huang He said, his tone concealing undeniable anger.
Zhang Ya’Er propped her cheeks, asking: "What happened then?"
"Now it’s your turn to tell the rest of the story. Besides, your first half wasn’t clear, all you did was curse us men." Huang He said, smilingly, suddenly finding this kind of intrigue quite nice.
"I was cheated on."
"That’s it?"
"That’s it."
"..."
Zhang Ya’Er leaned back on her chair, "Now it’s your turn to continue."
"You this... alright, let’s say I’m being gentlemanly for once today. Later, I beat up my girlfriend in front of everyone and broke up with her." Huang He said nonchalantly, as if this had nothing to do with him.
Zhang Ya’Er looked at him, not pleased, "You’re quite ruthless, able to lay hands like that."
"Haha, this is called holding grudges. Wouldn’t you want to teach your boyfriend a lesson?" Huang He asked.
"I do, I now want to kick his balls to bits! Then bind that couple together, drenched in gasoline, and burn them alive." Zhang Ya’Er said through clenched teeth, the hatred causing her teeth to click with ’krrr’ sounds.
Huang He took a small sip from his glass, suddenly quoting: "In the mouth of the bamboo snake, the sting of the wasp’s tail, neither is as venomous, as the heart of a woman."
Zhang Ya’Er stared wide-eyed, "Are you insulting me?"
Huang He lightly shook his head, smilingly, "No, I’m praising you, only a ruthless woman qualifies to stand firm in society."
"Still sounds like bad words. So, if it were you, how would you retaliate against them?"
Huang He answered nonchalantly, "Same as you, such a method is gratifying."
Zhang Ya’Er shook her head, "No, can’t be the same as me. You’re so perfunctory, say something else."
"Haha, then let’s change it up, let them encounter some accident." Huang He said.
"What do you mean?"
"Like a gas canister leak, or a fire, or even a car accident, perhaps let them catch AIDS."
Huang He said gently, completely unaware a murderous intent flashed through Zhang Ya’Er’s gaze.
