The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1905: To The Last Drop of Blood (4)

King Huvuki had never made contact with Kyran.

It never came to that point.

But he has heard about Kyran’s feats as the executioner of the empire, especially the ones he did to the Dark Elf Kingdom for making the blunder of putting the empress’s life in danger. Horrific feats that set him as one of the feared members of the Silverstar Pack.

And ever since, King Huvuki had always considered Kyran a cold-blooded person.

One that could mimic the fierce side of the emperor.

Naturally, seeing him mangled and in tears caught King Huvuki completely off guard.

More importantly, it also sets how fearsome their enemy is this time around.

Far more fearsome than the Rastrikan Demons.

Kyran pushed his bloodline power harder, layering thick ice over the stone wall even as his breath came in ragged gasps, and his mind swamped with dizziness. He was seeing stars. And his eyes couldn’t focus anymore, keeping the world in a smeared blur.

He can barely keep his feet beneath him.

Across the way, he had tried to do everything he could think of to stop the horde from advancing further.

From picking the horde one by one, taunting their domination, separating them while inside a Dominion, or even placing obstacles on the path with his bloodline powers. None worked. Nothing he tried doing matters against the crimson horde.

It was completely helpless.

Desperation got to him, and he lunged straight onto the heart of the crimson horde.

Kyran had devoured a dozen of the crimson wolves by now. His strength was already beyond what it normally was—and yet he could barely stand his ground. He only managed to kill two before his entire body was torn to shreds.

He survived at the last second, propelling himself to safety.

Propelling himself behind this stone wall.

As much as he wanted to deal with the crimson horde himself, he couldn’t. He needed help.

“Move it, men!” King Huvuki roared when he snapped out of his trance. “Continue and finish fortifying the wall. And those who are holding the net—be ready! Plant yourselves into the ground! Timing is top priority!”

On top of that, he also gestured for the healers from the Elves to help Kyran.

Kyran could feel their healing light massaging his entire body, but the pain persisted, and he needed to constantly focus so as to not to lose control and go berserk. He panted heavily and looked up to the night sky, staring directly at the Blood Moon.

A tear slipped through his defense as he gritted his teeth until he tasted iron.

’I wanted to grow even stronger.’

’I wanted to follow his footsteps.’

’But I can’t.’

“Ten seconds! Brace for impact!” Maraka’s roar reverberated through the air.

However, it was muffled when it entered Kyran’s ears.

His world was muted right now.

As if death were already reaching for him, claws poised to wrench his soul and drag it down to hell.

For the longest time, Kyran had been eyeing a King Mark. One that would push his strength further, as Rex did back when he was still mostly human. But he can’t. Unlike Rex, who has the Blood Moon as his birth moon, Kyran has the Yule Moon.

And the Yule Moon doesn’t have a King Mark.

’I can’t follow his footsteps if my path ends here.’

Silence enveloped the entire area.

So silent that a pin drop could be heard by anyone nearby.

Then, the impact happened.

Kaboom—!

As soon as the crimson horde slammed headfirst against the ice-stone wall, a violent surge of energy blew up with otherworldly fury. The ground shattered. Cracks shot outward like serpents, creating big trenches across miles and miles in radius.

Behind the wall, the trenches swallowed dwarves and tigermen like hungry beasts.

And those who were lucky enough not to be anywhere near the trenches got hurled away by the sheer strength of the shockwave like scattered leaves. Some simply ceased to exist, their bodies disintegrated before they hit the ground.

Maraka held on and looked up.

His pupils dilated when he saw a crimson tide rising upward, shadowing him.

A wave of raw destruction that climbed over the wall.

Like a chain reaction being triggered by this destructive wave, the runes across the entire length of the ice-stone wall ignited. Thousands of them flared at once, and a shield of living energy unfurled, clashing against the tide in a cataclysm of light and ruin.

Two titans that wrestled in a spectacular manner from the eyes of a passerby.

But for those in the battle, it was akin to death given a physical body.

Swoosh—!

Another pulsating wave seeped through the ice-stone wall, and hundreds were disintegrated.

For the first half a minute or so, the armies would be forced to endure.

Only the initial impact would be devastating, and soon, their opportunity to strike back came.

King Huvuki gritted his teeth and raised his ice hammer, summoning a blizzard that acted like a dome of protection. He pulled the lead rope back—forcing the giant ice bear to stand on two feet, “Throw the net now! Throw it now!!”

In practiced motion, the Tigermen who were tasked with this role stood up against the violent wave.

Despite not having as strong a regeneration as a werewolf, they still have it, and it’s enough to keep them standing. Enough to stitch torn flesh back together. A thousand of them drew their energy from deep within and heaved the massive net upward with their arms.

Since all of them are expert martial artists, their forms were united and flawless as they spun.

Hundreds of Dwarves slammed their hands against the ground, and stone platforms erupted upward—right beneath the Tigermen, launching them high. And with impeccable precision and perfect teamwork, the net was hurled over the ice-stone wall, spreading wide as it arched through the air.

Like a massive fishnet cast into the sea.

Its material gleamed and cuts through the violent tides, but it didn’t fall to the crimson horde.

Instead, it hovered above the horde, suspended mid-air.

King Huvuki made another gesture again, and this time, the cannon from the mountain summit moved.

Seeing the signal, it fired a massive cannonball covered in ice straight at the net.

Boom—!

Just the firing alone made a thunderous boom that reached far and wide.

Instead of detonating on impact, the cannonball burst into mist—a swirling, gathering cloud that fed the blizzard, making it howl stronger. Snowflakes seeped into the steel mesh of the net, bleeding through every link until the metal turned from steel-grey to icy-blue.

Another cannonball resounded.

It was the same one, and the splash now fully turned the metal net into an ice net.

Understanding in unity that this was their moment, the Tigermen squared their shoulders and hardened their cores before scaling the ice-stone wall with the Dwarves’ help. In their hands are the war hammers the Dwarves used earlier.

They mounted the frozen net and readied themselves.

One Tigerman landed at the center of the ice net and raised the hammer overhead, “This is our world!”

He swung down hard and struck the ice net.

As soon as he did, a circular magical circle emerged on the other side and fired an ice beam down to the crimson horde. A thunderous explosion echoed as the crimson wolves were hammered from above, unable to avoid, with the wall surrounding them in a bowl shape.

More and more Tigermen landed on the ice net and hammered down hard.

It was a carnival explosion for the next minute.

Explosions after explosions resounded hard, blasting the crimson horde with relentless force.

At first, the crimson wolves weathered the explosions. Killing even one was no easy feat. They are all creatures from the God Realm. Godlings. But time, relentless blasts, and the willpower of many could do wondrous things.

Godlings fell one by one, bodies charred black before crumbling into pools of blood.

Even before the crimson horde could retaliate, the ground underneath them began to collapse.

Dozens of them fell into the abyss, but the explosions kept going.

Like relentless blacksmiths, the Tigermen pounded on the ice net again and again.

Since the ice net, forged from Osmalt Ores, supplied all the energy for the beam, the Tigermen did not need to expend their own at all. All they had to do was hammer down hard. The harder they struck, the stronger the beam grew.

It would be plausible for them to keep this up for three minutes straight.

And even by the end of it, there are more who could replace them and keep on hammering.

Some, the stronger crimson wolves, tried climbing the ice-stone wall.

The surface was slick with ice and impossibly hot due to the inherent heat from Kyran’s bloodline, ice that could turn others to ash, making it treacherous and nearly unclimbable. Still, the crimson wolf went higher and higher.

Even when its claws were turned to ash, they regenerated rapidly as he scaled the ice-stone wall.

More followed behind, murder blazing in their beastly eyes.

Being halted like this, forced to struggle, bruised their pride more than any wound ever could.

Even though they were beasts, the superiority of coming from the God Realm is inherent.

It was branded deep inside their blood.

And that anger from a wounded pride was fuel for the Blood Moon, making them even stronger.

Crash—!

A dozen beams slammed into the leading crimson wolf, and it did nothing.

Not even knocking it down.

Under, the crimson wolves were falling to the crust of the earth, while those that had only arrived at the battlefield got hammered by cannonballs. One that was strong enough to produce a mile-long explosion, decimating the crimson horde.

But the leading crimson wolf didn’t care.

Translucent blood erupted from its body, sheathing it in a crimson aura that blurred its form into a streak of crimson. Then it lunged—a missile of destructive force slamming into the ice net. The net stretched to the limit violently, and the Tigermen atop it were hurled away like debris.

Others, who managed to firm themselves onto the ice net, tried hammering the crimson wolf down.

But it was futile.

ROAR—!

It bursts through, tearing a sizeable hole in the ice net.

A wave of panic swept through the Tigermen as they couldn’t believe the crimson wolf, even one of the strong ones, was able to tear open the ice net forged from Osmalt Ores. Even the powerhouses roaming the world right now aren’t capable of that.

Only the strongest Order Beasts could even hope to achieve that.

But they were not dreaming.

It really tore a hole through the ice net.

Just then, a blur of shadow tore through the air—faster than sight.

The crimson wolf’s throat erupted in a fountain of blood, torn open before it even registered the blow. Its murderous eyes flared wide, disbelief crashing into fading rage. On the far side, Maraka stood tall, balancing on a single string of ice like an old master.

His spine was straight as a blade as he watched the shock settle into the crimson wolf’s mind.

And without giving it a chance to retaliate, Maraka moved.

He slashed the crimson wolf a hundred times in a second, and then reappeared above it.

Every slash of the replica of Amurerus Katana carved deeper than flesh.

It bled the wolf’s power out through gushing wounds, spilling its strength in rivers of crimson and fading energy. With a guttural grunt, he flipped forward, his body a wheel of violence—and drove an axe kick down onto the beast’s skull.

The beast plummeted like a meteor.

Before the Tigermen’s eyes, it was swallowed into the abyss, knocking a few others over.

Maraka brandished his katana and looked down.

To his left, King Huvuki descended atop the giant ice bear, its massive paws shaking the earth on impact.

To his right, Kyran landed, ice crackling beneath his feet.

“Seems like it’s our turn to fight.”
