The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1388 You Don't Represent Us

Sealed by the handshake and kiss, Rex and Elder Tilrith have come to a deal.

In Rex’s opinion, the agreement was still heavily favoring Elder Tilrith, as she would have her hand on her Origin’s weapon—the Maw of Oblivion. Consulting with the System Rex learned that it was a one-of-a-kind Origin Weapon akin to the Blood Devourer or God Slayer.

A weapon that has accompanied the Demon Origin for thousands of years.

It has seen countless deaths and is a malevolent weapon.

Stated by the System that any non-Demon who wielded with weapon would have their very souls devoured or turned insane and when wielded by a Demon, the Maw of Oblivion would elevate the wielder’s power and turn the wielder into a Devil.

One of the two highest-ranking Demons that would rule Hell.

Elder Tilrith would have the power of a tenth rank easily with that weapon in her hand.

Moreover, her position as the Demon Queen would be unshakeable—becoming a permanent ruler of the Demon Kingdom. Rex wanted to haggle but that would make him put a cost over the lives of those dear to him.

He wouldn’t hesitate to comply if saving their lives costs making Elder Tilirith stronger.

Soon enough, the battle ahead has come to an end and was won by the Archdemon side.

Before departing, Elder Tilrith went over to check on them first.

Upon arriving on the battlefield, Rex saw the Archdemon and recognized him, it was Maltrox, the Archdemon of Wrath. But his eyebrows quickly dipped into a deep frown—when Rex saw Maltrox’s current condition.

Maltrox lost one of its hind legs and half of his face was torn open.

And surprisingly, both wounds weren’t healing.

“What happened…?” Elder Tilrith asked, her voice low but clearly displeased.

Glancing at the corpses of Dark Angels ahead, donning red, and purple wings on their backs, Maltrox thundered with fury, “It’s nothing like fighting Angels! No holy energy and inscription, and their attacks are always backed with bloodthirst”

“As expected, they have abandoned the First Light” Elder Tilrith nodded grimly.

But then, Maltrox limped to the only Dark Angel with purple wings.

His blazing eyes locked onto a metallic object lying beside the mangled corpse, “This bastard in particular…” He growled, his voice a guttural snarl dripping with venom. “That damn halo of his, it’s infuriating. Wiped out every last one of our Vulvazith, and Blue Demons like they were nothing!”

Elder Tilrith frowned, this was a surprising finding.

From what Maltrox was saying, this Dark Angel was responsible for killing six thousand out of the ten thousand Demons—Maltrox brought here. Glancing around—Elder Tilrith realized that the remaining Demons were all Red Demons.

She told Maltrox to bring Blue Demons in case the Dark Angels tried to flee.

Chasing them would require Blue Demons who were heavily centered around demonic spells.

But that seemed to be the wrong decision.

Gritting her teeth, Elder Tilrith reached out her hand and flared her wings, channeling her hell void energy. Her energy encompassed the entire battlefield—settling over the fallen Demons before it exploded with a gentle breeze.

Rex who was watching from the side was curious as to what Elder Tilrith was doing.

He turned to Mavenna beside him.

“What’s she doing?”

“She’s trying to check how many losses they suffered from this battle”

“Losses? Demons can’t be killed, they would be revived, right?”

“Yes. But like all things, there’s always an exception”

Upon hearing this, Rex turned back to Elder Tilrith, watching her move meticulously.

If the Dark Angels could kill Demons then dealing with the Tabaxis myself is the right thing.

Considering that there was a high possibility that the Dark Angels had already made contact, with the Tabaxi Kingdom—a potential confrontation with the Dark Angels might not be in any way avoidable.

If the Dark Angels could kill the Demons permanently, then Rex was right to be careful.

For all he knows, the immortality provided by Caraptaros might not be effective.

A tragedy could’ve happened had he sent Evelyn and the others to handle the Tabaxis.

Of course, with Caraptaros being turned into a Werewolf thus altering his power, he might not be affected by the Dark Angels and the immortality would be fine, but that wasn’t the possibility Rex was willing to take. Returning his gaze back ahead, a purplish steam emerged from the Demon carcasses.

But not all of these carcasses have this, more than half of them don’t.

Seeing this, Elder Tilrith’s expression twisted into a savage one once she realized, that more than half of the Demons sent here were killed permanently. Pivoting back to Maltrox—with a very dark face, she asked whisperingly, “How…?”

Just from her tone alone, it was clear that she was holding back anger.

Upon hearing this, Maltrox picked up the metallic object with his demonic energy.

He showed it to Elder Tilrith, “Because of this”

“It’s filled with Profane Energy that creates an area effect, turning some of our spells into a source of energy for him. Some spells—even backfired on us. I do not understand how this thing could do that but it did” Maltrox explained.

In his mind, he recalled how the Blue Demons got decimated by this halo.

As the Blue Demons were chanting their spells, the effect of the spells changed suddenly.

It varied from having their spells malfunctioned and exploded to being scorched to death.

Suddenly, Rex approached and snatched the metallic halo.

Seeing him, Maltrox raised an eyebrow, “What’s the prince doing here?”

“It doesn’t matter,” Elder Tilrith replied and turned to Rex. “Can you find out what it is?”

Rex scanned the metallic object with the System and instantly knew what it was, his eyes read through the entire description—before he finally spoke, “A corrupted version of their Angelic Halo. It has the ability to create a barrier that could regenerate by itself as well as another ability called Revolting Heal”

“An ability that would change the effect of energy-based enhancement or healing, turning it into having negative effects, instead. For instance, a healing spell would cause pain instead, and the area of effect is around a quarter of a mile” He explained.

Upon hearing this, Elder Tilrith and Maltrox exchanged a look.

Both of them were expecting Rex to have clues as to what this metallic halo was.

As opposed to having a clue, Rex knew exactly what it was with only one look.

Such a thing was God-like, it was as if his eyes could see through everything.

Since none of the two knew about this metallic halo, then it must not have existed in the far past, a new ability that surfaced from the Angels’ transition into Dark Angels. So this should be very new but Rex easily cracked it.

“Are you sure?” Elder Tilrith asked, dubious.

Rex turned towards her, the corner of his lips curling into a smirk, “I’m very certain”

Influenced by his confidence, Elder Tilrith was compelled to trust her.

“He might be correct, I saw some of ours experienced that” Maltrox replied with a rough huff.

Despite the battle being over, his pulse was still quickening—as he recalled how the Demons under him were easily dispatched by the Dark Angels. He even won through luck, as the halo was overloaded and shattered, allowing him to swoop in and deal the killing blow.

Upon scanning this, Rex knelt down and pulled on the corpse’s purple wings.

It was lustrous and glistening, as expected of wings belonging to Angels or Dark Angels.

But, as Rex pulled on the wings, he frowned as the corpse itself was also pulled.

“Huh…? It’s attached to them?” Rex muttered in shock.

Similarly—Elder Tilrith and Maltrox came closer to check—and realized that the purple wings were actual wings. Angels don’t have natural wings like the Demons or Vampires, their wings were more like a status.

Only those who reached a specific rank in the Angel Society could wear wings.

And those who achieved a lot in combat would have multiple pairs of wings.

Rex knew this from Catherine, he already inspected Angel’s anatomy through her.

He’s very fast… He planned very well.

Clearly, since the Angels have turned into Dark Angels, they basically couldn’t be compared.

Angels and Dark Angels are of different races, the Dark Angels are the newly created race.

Void was already designing his new race already.

Upon realizing this, Elder Tilrith pursed her lips and turned away, she was evidently troubled by this, “Creating a new race is not an easy thing to do. As the Origin, Void needs to be very strong to endure the change. To think that he is strong enough to create limbs, for his newly crafted Dark Angels…”

“Are you sure you’re going to battle them alone?” Rex stood up and asked.

Even before meeting with Void in the flesh, the cues that he was very strong were clear.

“I do not know what kind of Angel Void was in the past to make you call him a crybaby—but I don’t think he’s the same as back then” He added, this sign alone was a clear indication, that Void wasn’t someone to underestimate. “Void is no longer the same”

Knowing Elder Tilrith—he expected her to set aside her pride.

She was more reasonable than the other Supernatural Elders.

Surely, the best thing to do was to band together against Void and the Dark Angels.

Elder Tilrith should be able to see it.

But then again, Rex doesn’t know for sure as he did not know what happened in the past to lead Elder Tilrith to her decision of wanting to confront the Dark Angels alone. He could not really judge her.

“Queen…?” Maltrox turned to Elder Tilrith, waiting for her answer.

Despite asking that, Rex could tell what Maltrox’s answer was.

His heavy breaths made it obvious that he wanted to be the one finishing the Dark Angels.

However, the final decision lies upon Elder Tilrith’s shoulder.

Contemplating for a good moment, Elder Tilrith lifted her head and nodded firmly, “No, what I said earlier still stands. I already told the other races through my envoys—nobody shall touch the Dark Angels, other than Demons. Those who did—us Demons will consider it as an act of war…”

Upon hearing this, Rex frowned, “Think again, it’s your race on the line”

“I know what you’re trying to do, Royal Black Prince,” Elder Tilrith glanced at him, sharply. “It’s your desire to unite all races under your banner—but Demons do not fall to the rule of others. Our ancestors have resisted the Ancient Humans and we shall not taint their dedication”

“So keep your dream to yourself, you don’t represent us” She continued icily.

Maltrox also seconds her declaration, “We kneel at nobody, Royal Black Prince”

Seeing their resistance, Rex didn’t retort—he decided to nod his head in understanding.

No use in forcing them to change their mind, it would only make them more defensive.

I was only shooting my shot, I already expected to be declined.

Once that discussion was over, Maltrox turned to the other side at a group of Red Demons.

“Queen, we managed to capture one,” He said.

Elder Tilrith looked at where Maltrox hinted and saw a Dark Angel, he was mangled and was bleeding profusely from his open wounds. Seeing this—a devious grin crept to Elder Tilrith’s face, “Bring him back home and treat him with the utmost kindness would you?”

“Gladly…” Maltrox replied, sharing a devious grin.

Moments later.

Rex, Mavenna, and Elder Tilrith departed once Elder Tilrith handled the situation.

She was bitter but the battle was productive.

It was her intention to learn more about the Dark Angels before confronting Void directly.

Now, the trio was riding a demonic bird, cutting through the horizon with speed.

Once the day turned golden, the trio arrived at the Dark Elf Kingdom.

Meanwhile, inside a military fort, Iris was being treated for the wounds she suffered from her attempt to calm Rex down. She was successful with the help of Evelyn’s presence, but it still left her wounded severely.

Fortunately, Rex left a potion for her, and drinking it helped her recover rapidly.

In mere hours, she could already walk by herself and the pain was bearable.

Just then, the door into the room was opened and a Night Sister entered in haste.

“Lady Iris!” She called and saluted.

Iris looked at her in confusion, “Is there something wrong?”

“Yes, you have visitors” the Night Sister replied. “It’s the Emperor and the Demon Queen”

Upon hearing this, Iris paused for a second.

Then, she sucked in a cold breath, “I’m sorry who…?”
