Chapter 1207: Break of Sequence
In a hurry, Adhara walked through the hallway, chasing after Calidora.
Adhara wants nothing to do with Calidora—but something tells her, that she needs to follow Calidora right now. Call it a gut feeling but Adhara was pushed by an invisible drive to follow Calidora and see what she’s up to.
‘Nothing is happening inside the castle… but that’s all the reason that made me feel uneasy’
Considering Calidora’s personality, this peace was indeed an odd occurrence.
Even back when Calidora was nobody—but a Vampire that was linked through the curse Rex had inside of him, Adhara could feel her presence, looming in the background. It was all clear when she met with Calidora for the first time against the Delarosa Vampire Family.
Like a lunatic, Calidora disguised herself as Rosie to get close to Rex.
Her passion for possessing Rex was burning brightly at that time.
Not to mention, Calidora specifically pointed at Adhara and said that she needed to die.
It was obvious that Calidora was not the type to share his man—she wanted Rex for herself.
‘She’s scheming, I can sense it!’ Adhara pondered with bulging eyes.
Over the last few days after the news of Calidora’s pregnancy, she has been hogging Rex for herself and even forced Rex to move to her bed chamber. Nobody knows, what the two were doing inside.
Knowing that Rex is very rough in bed, there’s no chance that they did the deeds.
Calidora’s condition does not support that.
Adhara was burning with jealousy in silence—she couldn’t even comprehend how she could keep it all to herself and not explode, but she found console in the fact that the two couldn’t do anything sensual.
But that made her fail to consider another possibility, one that is way worse than sex.
‘What if she was using that time to bond with Rex…?’
Her heart pounded as she hurried down the dimly lit hallway of the castle, the urgency of her steps mirrored by the absolute chaos in her mind. Each breath pulled her deeper, and deeper into a different reality.
‘Just like Evelyn said, she was trying to kill us another way!’
As she made a turn, the cold stone beneath her suddenly transformed into a soft rug.
Adhara could hear sensual laughter, distant yet clear in her ears.
Upon raising her gaze—she was no longer running through the hallway, but standing at the entrance of a room that felt tangibly real. It took only a second for her to realize, that it was Calidora’s bedchamber.
From the cracks of the door, she could see blood seeping out in a slow and gnarly way.
It didn’t feel real, but it was extremely palpable.
But when she heard a deep and throaty moan, she didn’t hesitate—she burst into the room.
“Rex!” She shouted, she recognized the voice to be Rex’s.
Scanning her eyes across the room, they stopped when they landed on the bed.
Her eyes fell upon the bed, where Rex sat against the bed’s headboard.
Beside him, Calidora draped her naked self over his form like a predatory cat, with one of her legs crossed over to Rex’s thighs—underneath the blanket. Her fingers moved sensually, and seductively across Rex’s bare chest, their slow, deliberate journey ending at his collarbones.
Realizing Adhara’s presence, Calidora cast her a deliberate, taunting glance.
Her cherry lips, slightly puffy from being ravaged, curved into a condescending smirk.
All this while, Rex kept his gaze ahead, almost looking blankly into the void.
Calidora leaned in closer to Rex, her teeth gently biting his left earlobe.
It couldn’t be heard but Adhara could see that Calidora whispered something dangerous into Rex’s ear through the movements of her lips. His brow furrowed momentarily before he—in a sudden shift, looked at Adhara with a sharp glare.
Upon seeing this, Calidora burst into sensual and humorous laughter.
Her laughter was like a blade, cutting through the air, leaving Adhara feeling alienated.
An intruder in her own world.
Adhara’s gaze hardened, her fists clenching hard at her sides, even turning white.
She could feel the venom in Calidora’s actions, motivated to drive a wedge between her and Rex, thereby achieving the killing that she promised. Rex—oblivious to the true nature of her intentions, seemed entranced by her.
Not even minding Adhara, standing in watch, Rex turned and caressed Calidora.
Both began to be engrossed in steamy acts—the sound of their lips uniting filled the room.
However, for Adhara, the room felt smaller, the walls closing in as she stood rooted.
Even though she knew she had to act—the sight of Calidora’s triumphant smirk, as she was being pressed against Rex’s muscular body—left Adhara, momentarily paralyzed. She could not find the air to breathe, and her vision became blurry.
It was only then she recovered her vision, and the room melted into the compact stone walls.
Adhara blinked and found that she was still in the hallway, leaning against the walls.
She reached for her chest and found that she was breathing raggedly, each desperate gasp a rapid, strained inhale echoing her rising panic, ‘With Calidora’s devilish tongue—this might be her plan to take it slow but certain. She’s poisoning Rex slowly with mistrust, I can not let that happen! Not to my Rex!’
Despite still recovering from the panic attack, Adhara stumbled away onward.
A solid minute is needed before her breaths steadied.
Eventually, she reached Calidora’s bedchamber again, this time for real.
Her scent brought Adhara here, and without hesitation, she pushed the door open.
Upon opening the door, she was greeted by the sight of modern furniture, and design—one that she was not surprised about. Calidora must’ve designed it like this to match Rex’s taste and get closer to him.
But as she stepped inside, Adhara bit her lower lip when she didn’t find Calidora anywhere.
Blood began to trail down her chin from how hard she was biting her lower lip.
“Calidora!” She called and received no answer.
Just as she expected, Calidora was scheming something as she disappeared instantly as she entered her bedchamber, “She didn’t go out through the window—the glass is intact. I do not know if she could phase through walls, but I assume she couldn’t. So, she must’ve teleported away, where the fuck is she going?!”
Reaching that conclusion, Adhara meticulously searched for her trace of energy.
Since she left in a hurry, there must’ve been somewhere around the room.
“Not even a trace? She’s really being careful. But now that I know, I will not let you succeed,”
If Calidora managed to sneak around, then she might’ve successfully schemed.
However, not that Adhara knew, she would not be successful that easily.
Eventually—Adhara’s eyes, were attracted to a darker shade spot on the carpet underneath her feet. She knelt down before touching it and inspecting it. Sensing that it was a remain of energy, she nodded her head.

Calidora used something to mask her energy, but Adhara found it nevertheless.
Sitting down on the ground, she steadies her breath and focuses.
Adhara began to channel her purple flames, the air around her began to flicker with flames, it was only then that the flames reached her body—and danced around her right arm only. She focuses only on coating her right arm with her fire element.
Garnered with the emotions she was feeling right now, the purple flames burned brighter.
Even the furniture was beginning to melt under her power.
Like the castle—the furniture would recover on its own, but frankly speaking Adhara wouldn’t care even if the furniture couldn’t recover. She had already set her mind to stop Calidora, and it would be done.
Upon channeling enough of her mana, she focuses back on the remains of energy.
Her mana already turned into arcane mana thanks to the Fire Elementals, it was scorching.
Adhara touched the remains of energy with her right hand, and under her control, the flames began to encompass the entire spot. Her brows twitched, when she was confronted—with a hostile energy, but she persevered.
Swoosh!
In a second, her fire overpowered the outer layer and reached its essence.
And the moment she did that, a formation of string appeared in her mind.
She was startled as her mind ignited as if her own fire was scorching her mind right now.
Her body wrenched backward, forcing her gaze upward, to the ceiling—her eyes blazed with intense violet flames, and she was plunged into a state of absolute clarity. It was the method written in the first volume of the Divine Pyroclassmic Emissary spellbook.
Considering its origin, the Divine Pyroclassmic Emissary is an absolute treasure.
In the first volume, Adhara was taught in the way of true fire.
As the first step to mastering the spellbook, she needs to know, that any sequence and flow of mana can be replicated—in the way of the fire elements. Due to that—she was taught the method called Break of Sequence.
Other than a training method, it was also a spell unique to the sacred spellbook.
It allows Adhara to see the sequence and flow of spells or certain skills and copy them.
Basically—the Break of Sequence allowed Adhara to copy other spells and turn them into a fire-based spell. She did not know if she was going to be able to copy, a Blood Spell, that a Vampire like Calidora used, but she was going to try.
However, she needed to figure out the sequence before her mind burnt.
Looking at the formation of strings inside her head—it was shaped like human anatomy.
Adhara intently looked at the formation of strings through the eye in her mind—and saw that there were five sequences that she needed to crack—the fiery number, above the formation was there to notify her of the difficulty of learning the spell.
Gritting her teeth, she began to infuse her fire mana into the formation.
She could see that the strings near the chest area were beginning to light up with fire.
It then began to move slowly, like a snake, and light up the mind and heart media.
Katcha!
Upon seeing that, the number dropped to four, signing that she broke the first sequence.
Swoosh!
“Eurghhkk!” Adhara grunted in pain and she snapped out of her mind.
All of the fire swirling around her evaporated in an instant.
Looking down at the carpet, she saw that it was stained with blood, her blood.
Even though she had only managed to decipher one sequence—she was already, coughing blood. It was the first time she used this method, so that was not a surprise. But even then, she was not going to give up and went back to her mind.
Having robust mana reserves, she kept infusing the formation again and again.
“Kaahkk!”
Swoosh!
“Hargghh…!”
Swoosh!
“Even if my blood needed to be dried to break this sequence, I will gladly give it up!”
Adhara did it again and again—and somewhere along the way, she began to use her arcane mana instead of her regular mana. She found that using arcane mana strained her mind way more, but quickened the process.
It also cut the time under pain, so she found this better than using regular mana.
Eventually, the last sequence was broken, and the violet fire around her exploded gently.
Despite the painful process, that challenged the endurance of her mind, she was surprisingly able to finish the process and broke the sequence of the blood spell Calidora was using. She might not be able to copy it perfectly, but she could mimic it.
Panting heavily as if she had run a marathon, Adhara took a moment to rest her mind.
It was throbbing violently from the burning sensation, but there was a smile on her face.
“Now, where did you go, Calidora…?” Adhara mused and looked at the damp spot.
Sitting in an upright manner—she closed her eyes again, and began to make the sequence of the Blood Spell using her arcane fire mana. Adhara mimicked the sequence meticulously, and when she was done, her body evaporated or teleported to be exact.
No trace of her presence was left behind, only the burnt furniture.
An unknown amount of time had passed, and slowly, Adhara could open her eyes again.
Just like being teleported, she could only see a kaleidoscope of energy.
Flashes of red and fire were all the things she could see until eventually—she could feel that she regained the senses of her body, again. Blinking her eyes a couple of times—she looked around before she frowned.
She was not in the castle anymore, but somewhere else, “This is…?”
