The immortal’s body was fast, and his hands were strong. The Bloodvine tried to wriggle its way out but could not succeed.

The Bloodvine’s main vine above the water was thousands of feet long. But half of that was damaged by the immortal’s body. At the moment, the immortal’s body was two miles in the sky, and yet there were still parts of the Bloodvine in the water.

“Whoosh~”

The Bloodvine twisted in the air. The subsidiary vines curled up and entangled the immortal’s body. The Bloodvine appeared to be attempting to stop the immortal’s body from flying so that it would not be pulled out.

But the immortal’s body glared with red light and some blood-red airstream came out. It appeared that the blood-red airstream was toxic. The subsidiary bodies were corroded. Three subsidiary bodies that were trying to trap the immortal’s body were turned into dust.

The main part of the Bloodvine wriggled and reached for the immortal’s body. The subsidiary vines were weaker, and the main part was stronger in defense. The Bloodvine was becoming anxious. If all of it was pulled out, it would be doomed.

Just like that, the main vine was corroded bit by bit. After a moment, the Bloodvine was uprooted. All of it was yanked out from the lake. In that instant, the Bloodvine was much weaker.

The Bloodvine put up a desperate fight. Its root curled up and circled the immortal’s body. Eventually, he was out of sight and only the Bloodvine could be seen.

In other words, the Bloodvine might have reversed the situation. The creature’s soul had gone into the immortal’s body to possess him.

If such was the case, not only would Lu Li lose the Bloodvine but also the immortal’s body.

After a day later, Lu Li was alerted. He Yue had news to report to him. She found Feng Wanhu and the others. This time, she sensed them in person.

Feng Wanhu and the others were hiding in a cave dozens of miles underground. They were breaking down spatial barriers down there and the space nearby was trembling, which was picked up by He Yue’s subsidiary bodies. They sneaked into the cave from underground and found Feng Wanhu. However, they could only discover Feng Wanhu and two other Semi-God Realm warriors before they were killed.

“Let’s go!”

Lu Li controlled the Wicked Bead to fly over as He Yue led the way. There was a bit of distance, but they were not very far away. They arrived in half a day.
