Chapter 1893 Fuuu-
Chapter 1893 Fuuu-
The Eclipsecrawler looked at the odd, naked human walking away from the explosion in the sky as that was the final strike in a Primordial tribulation. She would go and warn him that he was mistaken, but that would be interfering with the tribulation, and she wouldn’t do that. Also, she had been waiting for the actual final this entire time. She was going to capture some of the leaked energy and use it for herself.
Did that mean she would also have to pay the naked human?
She thought for a bit, and decided it was only fair to do so. At the same time, she’d give him some advice on how to improve his illusions. In his own eyes, he was wearing clothes, but in hers, he was walking in his birthday suit. That wasn’t a good idea.
The Primordial Garden wasn’t like other places. Immortal or not, he’d catch a cold walking around naked like that.
Lex kept walking, waiting for the final round of nurturing energy, but it never came. Instead, ominous rumbling sounds came from up above, prompting him to finally look upwards.
This time, there was no cosmic dust or strange objects forming. Instead, orange lightning seemed to be rumbling in the black clouds, giving off a dangerous aura.
Lex snorted, and let Domination blot out the aura of his tribulation. If there was one useful thing he had gained from this tribulation, it was that his aura had transcended the realm of being similar to Dragons Might, and had instead now adopted an aura similar to the deterrence of a Primordial. While Lex himself was not a Primordial, he definitely had the aura of one, and that was far more powerful than ordinary Dragons Might.
The orange lightning seemed to take that as a sign that Lex was ready. Normally, it would have given him time to recover from his wounds and prepare, but since he provoked it, there was no point in waiting.
Streams of orange lightning swam in the black clouds, gathering together to build up strength, giving Lex a few moments to prepare. Lex entered his Flow state, but decided not to change into one of his forms.
With the help of his Flow state, Lex understood laws even better, allowing him to enhance his attacks to a new level. In fact, after going through so many tribulations, he was on the verge of creating a new Lawcraft himself. He would call it… well, he’d think of a name once the technique was complete.
Once the lightning had gathered all its energy, it struck. The speed was irrelevant. It relied on certain laws to transcend comprehension, meaning whether it was slow or fast, Lex would not be able to lock on to it, or predict its trajectory, or understand its power, and yet the lightning landed on Naraka’s edge.
A sharp cry resounded across the Primordial Garden as the sword declared its might. It could not slay tribulations, and yet it had bested them time and time again. Each victory made it stronger, each clash sharpened its edge, each failure honed its aura. The cry was to let the universe know that as long as it was in Lex’s hand, there was no tribulation, no enemy, no phenomenon that it would not overcome!
Lex’s expression did not change even as smoke began to rise from his skin, his body beginning to burn just from being near the lightning strike. The ground of the Primordial Garden, which had up until now remained entirely intact, finally began to crack as if some great weight had been laid upon it.
But even when the ground broke beneath him, and the heavens struck him from up above, Lex’s stance did not change. When he started this tribulation he had been brought down to his knees, but he had learned how to pick himself back up a long time ago.
Tribulation?
Lex smirked. No, these could not be called tribulations in his eyes. They were the flavor in his life, the zest that made a meal worthy. If a challenge wasn’t hard, it wasn’t worth doing.
Lex suddenly discovered that, alongside his physical growth, this latest tribulation had helped him realize something very important.
Despite what it may seem like based on his actions, deep in his heart, he had become more hesitant the stronger he became. It was as if seeing the depth of the universe’s power caused him to want to hide and protect himself. Maybe it was the influence of the seal in his mind, or the exposure to mighty powers, or the lack of any background upon which he could rely on. Since he knew that he was the only one who had to ensure his own security, he became a little too cautious. But where was the fun in that?
Maybe it was a good thing that the Inn was opening back up to the universe. Whether it was helping those angels in the Seraphim resort escape, or taking guests from war torn realms, Lex wanted to face those challenges head on. Only when the threat was real would the satisfaction of overcoming it feel great.
“Know your place,” Lex said, using more force to complete his slash, dissolving the lightning strike and ending the tribulation once and for all.
Lex sighed. It was rewarding, it was fun, but it was also too long. The damn tribulation had been going on for weeks. Good thing it was only a minor tribulation or…
Lex suddenly froze as he remembered something important. As an Earth Immortal, his minor tribulations would only have lightning. But as a Heaven Immortal, even his minor tribulations would have a fire tribulation!
Lex suddenly looked up at the dark clouds that were not dissipating, and then at the Primordial energy that came flooding into his body, nourishing him. He waited, but no matter what, he did not feel himself enter level 2 of the Heaven Immortal realm.
