Soon, the prisoners’ activity time was over.

Under the terrified gazes of the many prisoners, Qin Ya returned to Jia Prison.

The Jia Prison Guards were terrified and scrambled over to beg for forgiveness. The commotion even drew the attention of the Vice Mansion Master, who immediately laid into them with a vicious scolding the moment he arrived.

“I told you to treat Young Master Qin well, and this is how you do it?”

“Have you Prison Guards gotten too comfortable? How about I send you to the Blade Prison Fire Sea for a few days to jog your memories?”

“Damn it, if anything happens to Young Master Qin, forget you lot—even I, the Vice Mansion Master, won’t escape the consequences! Do you understand me, you bastards?”

The Vice Mansion Master was absolutely terrified. A few days ago, Ce Tian had emphatically instructed him to take good care of Qin Ya, which made him realize just how important the young man was. After mulling it over, he had even made a personal trip to the palace to seek an audience with the Divine Lord and inquire about Qin Ya’s origins.

Although he hadn’t received any concrete information, the hints the Divine Lord let drop made him understand that this Qin Ya was even more important than he had imagined. One could even say the Supervision Mansion could do without him, the Vice Mansion Master, but it could not allow Qin Ya to suffer the slightest mishap. And yet, he never imagined he’d return today to hear such news.

If anything really happened to Qin Ya, his career as Vice Mansion Master would be over.

At that thought, he viciously berated the Prison Guards once more.

The Prison Guards kept their heads bowed, not daring to talk back. Inwardly, however, their terror of Qin Ya grew. ‘Just what kind of background does he have to make the Vice Mansion Master lose his composure like this?’

Qin Ya walked up and said with a faint smile, “Vice Mansion Master, nothing happened to me. They were merely some Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals, no threat to me at all.”

Hearing this, the Vice Mansion Master said, “That may be so, but this is still my dereliction of duty. For something like this to happen… Please rest assured, Young Master. We will investigate this matter to the very end and ensure nothing like this ever happens again.”

“Mm. I’m counting on you, Vice Mansion Master.”

“It’s no trouble at all. This is merely my duty.”

After the Vice Mansion Master left, Qin Ya went into seclusion to cultivate.

Although he had the Divine Lord’s protection, the thought of facing the Celestial Marquis Venerable filled Qin Ya with a sense of urgency. Besides, no protection was better than one’s own strength.

‘If I possessed Venerable Battle Power, why would I need anyone else’s protection? I could just charge straight to the Celestial Marquis’s home, blast him to smithereens, and strike fear into the hearts of all the other vultures. Wouldn’t that be perfect?’

After spending a large quantity of Primordial Stones to lay down a Divine Awakening Array, a Quenching God Array, and other Arrays designed to boost his cultivation, Qin Ya’s cultivation speed became much faster than an ordinary person’s. Combined with his already extraordinary talent, his strength began to increase steadily.

Time flew by, and soon… another three months had passed.

DONG, DONG…

Within the Supervision Mansion, the bell tolled once more. It was time for the prisoners’ daily activities.

As for Qin Ya, he too emerged from his seclusion.

He felt the power coursing through his body. The corners of his lips curled up, a glint in his eyes as he murmured to himself, ‘I’ve grown stronger, but I still need real combat to hone my abilities. And in this prison, I imagine… opportunities for a real fight are the one thing I’m not short on.’

With that thought, he slowly walked out of his cell.

The prisoners who were just emerging from their cells immediately recoiled several steps at the sight of him.

Tsk, tsk. After what happened last time, none of them dared to provoke Qin Ya. Still, a few men shot him disdainful looks, snorted coldly, and headed straight for the square.

Qin Ya watched their retreating figures, the corner of his mouth curling into a wry, amused smile.

‘Heh. Looks like I’ve found some sparring partners.’

Soon, everyone had arrived at the square. A fight had already broken out on the arena stage, and a crowd of onlookers had gathered around it.

With a faint smile, Qin Ya’s figure blurred as he shot onto the stage.

Instantly, a terrifying aura erupted from him. Streams of Qi Force condensed in his palms before he struck out with both hands, blasting the two Martial Artists—mere ordinary Half-Venerables—off the stage. He then turned to the crowd of prisoners and declared, “Who else?”

With Qin Ya on the stage, the crowd could only look at each other in dismay.

The events of three months ago were still vivid in their minds. Not only was this guy’s combat power overwhelming, but his background was also terrifyingly vast—even the Prison Guards had to treat him with the utmost respect. Who would dare go up there just to get beaten?

Qin Ya’s brow twitched. He sneered, “A bunch of cowardly rats!”

A provocation. This was a blatant provocation.

Instantly, looks of displeasure spread across the faces of the prisoners.

Most of these men had fearsome reputations in the outside world. Goaded by Qin Ya, an impulse suddenly surged within them.

The impulse to go up there and tear him to shreds!

Seeing their reactions, Qin Ya knew his provocation had worked. His gaze swept over the crowd and quickly landed on the few prisoners from Jia Prison who had looked at him with disdain earlier. He crooked a finger at one of them and said indifferently, “Come on. Let’s see who the strongest prisoner in Jia Prison really is.”

The man snorted, and in a flash, his figure shot onto the stage. “Hmph,” he said coldly. “A mere King, and you dare to be so arrogant?”

As his voice fell, terrifying Strong Qi erupted from his body. Like a tiger unleashed from its cage, he lunged at Qin Ya with ferocious momentum. At the same time, his Mysteries manifested; True Essence surged through him, actually condensing into the form of a fierce tiger.

‘Oh? A beast-type Mystery?’

The corner of Qin Ya’s mouth curled up. His Qi and Blood flared, and a powerful force surged forth!

In the distance, a dozen or so Prison Guards exchanged glances.

‘Uh… what should we do now?’

‘Young Master Qin started this fight himself. We don’t have to stop it, do we?’

BOOM, BOOM, BOOM…

The air itself seemed to shatter as a series of sonic booms erupted. The stage began to crack and splinter!

‘Not bad.’

‘But that’s all it is. Not bad.’

With a faint smile, Qin Ya circulated his Qi and Blood and True Essence in unison. At the same time, the True Meaning of Destruction flared to life, condensing between his fingers before erupting outwards as a massive Palm Seal. The ferocious tiger let out a roar, only to be powerlessly blasted away.

“Who else?”

Qin Ya brushed off his shoulder and addressed the crowd below the stage. His tone was laced with disdain, and his expression was one of contempt. His sheer arrogance was on full display!

‘This guy… he seems even stronger.’

‘Tsk, tsk. That’s an insane amount of progress for just three short months.’

‘It looks like he’s using real combat to solidify his power. Hmph. The kid’s got guts, trying to use all the prisoners here as his stepping stones.’

‘But you have to admit, his talent is truly peerless.’

At that moment, another prisoner, unable to stand Qin Ya’s provocation, rushed onto the stage. But strong as he was, he was still no match for Qin Ya. In just a few exchanges, he was sent flying by a single palm strike. Then another came…

Two. Three. Five… Ten.

Within a single hour, ten prisoners had been defeated at Qin Ya’s hands, including experts like Ming Gui and Hukuang. With each fight, Qin Ya’s cultivation grew more profound.
