Chapter 85 - Do You Have A Girlfriend?
Later on, Fu Meixu got another copy of the magazine from Fu YingPei and passed it on to Jia Li. Jia Li smiled as she glanced at the magazine before keeping it by the side.
Fu Meixu did not leave immediately she passed the magazine to her, instead, she stayed and chatted with her for a while. She also talked about shopping for clothes the next weekend.
Jia Li wanted to reject it, but one word about Grandfather Fu and Jia Li did not bother to argue anymore.
Grandfather Fu wanted to change her entire wardrobe, so he gave enough money to Fu Meixu for them to go weekend shopping.
It's been 3 weeks since Jia Li moved to the Fu house. And her Aunty who hasn't appeared at her house, for a while, appeared today.
Mu Keer was unlucky to find the door locked. She has been making plans of how to extort from Jia Li, and when she felt her plans were okay, she decided to visit. But unfortunately for her, the door was locked.
She knocked on the door but received no response. When she saw the padlock ? on the door, she stopped knocking and calling out to Jia Li.
'Where did this girl go to? Did she go to school?.' She thought to herself with a frown as she whipped out her phone to dial Jia Li's number, but then she remembered that she didn't have it.
"It looks like I really have to get her number the next time we meet." Mu Keer said to herself before leaving reluctantly.
The other times she has been coming, she wasn't able to get Jia Li's contact number, because it wasn't the right time to ask for it. But since the funeral was over, it wouldn't be wrong to ask for it.
The next day in the evening, Mu Keer came back to look for Jia Li thinking she would be back from school by that time, but she found the door locked.
She was beginning to feel annoyed.
"What kind of school did she go to that she is not back by this time?."
Mu Keer was angry as she fished out headphones from her bag. She remembered that she still had her brother's number. Thinking that Jia Li would be the one with the phone, she dialed the number.
Mu Keer was bound to be disappointed today, as she was notified that the line she was trying to reach has been deactivated.
Mu Keer stomps her feet and leaves while muttering curses to Jia Li. She left, deciding to return during the weekend.
During the weekend, she returned but found the door still locked. She was already very angry at getting disappointed repeatedly.
She decided not to leave without results today. She went knocking on the neighbors' door to see if the. would find out some information about Jia Li, because it was obvious that Jia Li hasn't been at home.
'Did something happen when I was making my plans?' She thought to herself.
A married woman came out to answer the door. She didn't really recognize who Mu Keer was, so she frowned at her.
Mu Keer quickly introduced herself to the woman and went straight to the point.
The woman told Mu Keer all she knew since she was Jia Li's Aunt.
"What?! Jia Li hasn't been around for the past 3 weeks?!." Mu Keer asked with a shocked-filled face.
"Yes. It has been a long time since we saw her. But I recently learned that she moved to another city. Since you are her Aunt, how come you didn't know about this?." The woman said, and then turned to walk inside her house.
Mu Keer was in the processor trying to assimilate the shocking news she just heard.
Jer niece has been easy for three weeks and she didn't know about it?
How was she supposed to get some money from her?
Mu Keer felt so bittered and angry with Jia Li. How could she make such a decision without letting her know? And she has spent some money by coming here to look for her.
Things were getting harder for Mu Keer and her children, and surviving was a difficult task now, so she came to get money from Jia Li as she was still trying to get a job for herself.
After the discovery, Mu Keer had no choice but to go back home. She almost shed tears, but she was too angry to do so.
She was thinking about how she was going to get some money to feed herself and her children.
She didn't want to do any hard work, and all her life, she has never taken on any job. She has always been a housewife.
She wanted to get a lot of benefit from Jia Li so she wouldn't have to struggle, but it looks like all her plans have gone to waste.
Today, Fu Hua has been working nonstop and hasn't had the time for lunch. When he was about to round up from work, he received a call from his girlfriend.
Since the last time they argued, they really haven't spoken much.
"I'm busy, call me later." Fu Hua said and ended the call without waiting for a response.
On the other side, Feng Alix glanced at her phone. The call got disconnected before she could say anything.
"Is Fu Hua losing interest in me already?." Feng Alix questioned herself.
"No, I must let this happen!." She said to herself.
Later that evening when Feng Alix thought Fu Hua would be home already, she called his number, and this time around, he answered the call and talked with her.
"Fu Hua, do you think we are drifting apart?" Feng Alix asked.
"Why do you think so?." Fu Hua asked. He was currently driving and had his phone connected to the car's blue tooth.
"We don't talk like before, and we barely have time for each other." Feng Alix said in a sad tone.
"I've been busy with work. Since the Fashion show, there has been a lot of work to settle. I can't relax now. When I'm through with some pressing work, we will have time to be together." Fu Hua replied.
"Did I do something wrong to you? I can't feel your love." Feng Alix replied in a depressed tone.
Fu Hua sighed and assured her that he still loved her. Then the two went ahead to talk about some matters.
Fu Hua talked with her till he got home. Because they spent over 20 minutes talking, so their bond slowly came back together.
Feng Alix became at ease after speaking with Fu Hua. She was smiling now and even went on to rat her food.
Because she hasn't been working with Fu Hua fit a while, she wasn't happy and she felt depressed, so she lost appetite. But now that things were back on track, she had slowly regained her appetite.
When Fu Hua got home, there was still time before dinner, so she went to his bedroom to relax for a bit.
He had just finished bathing and stepped into his bedroom after changing into his casual clothes when a knock sounded on his door.
"Come in!." His cold voice rang.
Fu Hee opened the door and walked in with a smile.
"Fu Hua, how was work today!." Fu Hee asked with a smile.
"Fine." Fu Hua replied.
"How was sales today, is the number still increasing it has it reduced?." Fu Hee asked.
"The number of demand is still high." Fu Hua replied as he walked to his bed to sit.
"That's good, that's good..." Fu Hee said as she clapped her hands together.
"Mum, what do you want?." Fu Hua asked directly because he knew his mother wouldn't come into his room to ask about his work.
Fu Hee smiled and she walked close to the bed. "Son, don't be offended by my question, do you have a girlfriend?."
Fu Hua glanced at her and asked, "Why are you asking?."
"You are getting old. You will be 32 soon, don't you plan on settling down soon?." Fu Hee asked.
"Mum, leave my matter. I'm not interested in settling down any time soon. And if I have a girlfriend, I will introduce her to you." Fu Hua said as she picked up the magazine on his bedside table.
"That means you don't have a girlfriend. Fu Hua, you are not getting any younger. You are already so old like this, and you still don't plan on starting a family. Look at your father and me, we are getting old as well. Do you plan to see us die and get buried before you settle down?." Fu Hee asked with a frown.
She was not happy with the fact that her son wasn't complying with her. Some of her friends were grandmothers already, while her first son wasn't touched.
Fu Hua massaged his temples and refused to say a word. He could feel a headache crippling in.
"Fu Hua, do you want me to make arrangements for you?." Fu Hee asked.
