Chapter 507: Her Origin
Chapter 507: Her Origin
When Fu Hua opened the pendant, at last, Jia Li was happy and immediately snatched it from him to have a good look.
“Oh my goodness, this young lady looks like my mum and is this her mother and sisters?” Jia Li asked in surprise while staring at the picture of the older women and three younger ladies.
The young lady sitting in-between the other two young ladies looked very much like Jia Li’s mother and in that picture, she looked like she was 18 years.
When Fu Hua saw the four women, it was only one that he felt looked familiar, as for the others, he didn’t seem to know who they were.
The pendant had two sides. The first part was the picture of Huang Li and her three sisters and mother, while the other side had just a picture of Huang Li.
“Darling, I just remembered something. My mum sent a voice message to me some hours before she died. In that message, she said something about her family but I can’t remember. Oh, wait! I still have the voice note in my phone, let me find it.” Jia Li said and immediately reached out for her phone.
Her fingers worked very fast and quickly, she went to the chat she had with her mother and the voice message was the first thing she saw and so she played it to Fu Hua’s hearing.
Jia Li skipped the VN towards the last part where her mother talked about her family.
“…Jia Li, your father and I love you so much. I want you to know that you are special. If you meet my family one day, it will be fate. Take care of yourself and I…”
“My mum said it will be fate if I meet her family one day. Darling, I have a strong conviction that this is her family, can you please help me look for them with this pendant, I really want to find them!” Jia Li said with an emotional gaze.
Finding things out about her mother, made her recall the hurtful past which she didn’t want to remember and now, she really wanted to find her mother’s family and ask them so many questions pertaining to her mother.
“Are you sure you want to find out about your mother’s family? Finding out about them, would mean you will know about the ugly past and the reason she left home and refused to talk about them. Are you ready to bear the burden of the past?” Fu Hua asked.
“I don’t know if I can bear the burden of the past, I just want answers to my questions. I need to find my mother’s family.” Jia Li said with a frown as the hunger to know more about her mother, possessed her.
Fu Hua held her arms and said, “I will help you to get information about your mother, but you have to promise that you will prepare your heart and mind to accept whatever past your mother had. You know she had a reason she never mentioned her family to you and I think you should know about it.”
Obviously, Jia Li’s mother never mentioned her family to her because she didn’t want her to worry and transfer anger and hate to them.
“I will do that but please you have to try your best to find out something about her.” Jia Li said in an urgent tone.
“I promise. Can I take the pendant with me?” Fu Hua asked with his gaze on her. He already had an intuition of who her mother’s family was but he didn’t want to say anything until he had confirmed his thoughts.
“You can have it. I need to use the bathroom, I will be back.” Jia Li said as she got off the bed in a rush. When she left, Fu Hua continued to explore the pendant, and that was when he found something interesting.
He was caressing Huang Li’s picture with his thumb when he discovered that the picture could move and so, he took it out only to see ‘Huang Li’ name engraved on the pendant.
‘Huang Li?’ Fu Hua thought as he immediately whipped out his phone from his pocket to check for the Huang family on the net. He saw the biography of the Huang family but that wasn’t what he was looking for. He was looking for the family tree, so he could trace the name, ‘Huang Li’ on it.
Since he was aware of the Huang family to look for, he quickly searched for Old Mr. Huang’s name and found it. He saw that he was married to old Mrs. Huang and that they had 5 children.
Fu Hua clicked on the page for their children and when it opened, he saw the name, ‘Huang Li’ on the second role and only a little information was found about her.
It was written that she was the 2nd daughter of the Huang family, and also the third child of the family, who left home in her early 20s to avoid the marriage her father had arranged for her with the son of a family friend. It was also written that she had never been seen or heard of since that time.
Fu Hua also saw a rumor about her. A source said that she eloped with the man of heart and had abandoned the marriage her father had set up for her.
When Fu Hua was trying to search for a picture of ‘Huang Li’ Jia Li walked out of the inner room.
“Sweetheart, can you help me get a glass of pineapple juice?” Fu Hua said to her.
“Okay, I will check on Jasmine from there.” Jia Li said with a smile before leaving without suspecting anything.
After he had sent his wife away, Fu Hua continued with his investigations and he was lucky to find an old picture of his mother-in-law, amongst the old family picture of the Huang family, which was taken more than 24 years ago.
