Chapter 151: Chapter 151 Serena’s betrayal 2

Serena’s POV

Vivienne stepped forward first.

Her face was hard, and her eyes were cold. Behind her stood a large man with scars crossing his face and hands. His name was Viktor, and he was known as the rogue Alpha. He was taller than any wolf I had ever seen, and his eyes were black as coal.

"Serena," Vivienne said. "You came."

"Didn’t you read my letter? I clearly said I would," I replied.

Vivienne’s mouth twitched, but Viktor said nothing. He just watched me with those black eyes, and I felt a chill run down my spine.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper, and I held it out to Vivienne.

"This is the map of Shadowfang’s defenses," I said. "It contains all the patrol routes, guard rotations, and weak points in the walls."

Vivienne took the map and unfolded it. Her eyes moved across the paper, and a smile spread across her face. It was the same cruel smile I had seen before, and the smile of a woman who enjoyed watching others suffer. But I did not care, as long as she could do what I wanted.

"You have done well," Vivienne said.

My voice was steady, but my hands were shaking. "I want Talia dead, but Kaelen must stay alive. I do not care what happens to anyone else."

Viktor laughed. It was a rough, ugly sound that echoed through the trees.

"I cannot promise you about that foolish Alpha who thinks he is strong," Viktor said. "But his Luna will be dead soon enough."

I shook my head, and my voice turned cold. "You must not harm Kaelen, understood? You can only weaken him. Your main target is that annoying Talia."

"I cannot promise..." Viktor started to say.

"He will not be harmed." Vivienne cut him off. She nodded at Viktor, and her eyes were sharp. "Do you know Alpha Kaelen’s weakness?" She turned back to me.

I nodded. "I only know that he is allergic to silver."

"Are you very sure?" Vivienne asked.

"Yes." My voice was firm. "He told Talia during one of the nights that they were training together. They probably thought no one was watching. But I was there, and I heard everything."

Vivienne’s smile widened. "Silver," she murmured. "That is very good information."

She folded the map and tucked it into her cloak. "You have done well, Serena," Vivienne said. "Go now, and prepare to be Luna soon."

My heart jumped at the word "Luna." That was what I had always wanted, and what I deserved.

I had dreamed of this moment for years, ever since I was old enough to understand what being Luna meant. I had trained, I had waited, and I had been patient.

And now, it was finally within my reach.

Talia was in the way right now. But soon, she would be gone, and I would take what was mine. I nodded and turned to leave.

"Serena," Vivienne called.

I stopped, and turned around just enough to see her face.

"If anyone finds out about this," Vivienne said coldly, "you are dead too."

I pulled my cloak tighter around my shoulders and let out a mocking sound. "No one will find out."

She nodded with a cold face, but I did not care.

I walked back to the pack house without looking back. My footsteps were silent on the grass, and the wind was cold against my face, but I did not shiver. Because I was too focused on what was coming.

Talia would die, Kaelen would be weakened, so he could not save her, and I would finally get what I deserved.

I slipped back into the pack house through the same door I had left. The hallways were still empty, and the torches still burned low. I walked to my room and closed the door behind me.

I did not turn on the lights, or add a log of wood to the fire that had burned down to embers. Because I did not need to see.

I lay on my bed and stared at the ceiling, as I smiled widely to myself in the dark. My heart was still pounding, but my hands had stopped shaking.

I thought about Talia. About the way Kaelen looked at her, about the way the pack bowed to her, and about the way everyone celebrated her like she was something special.

Talia was nothing. She was a liar, a fraud, and a girl who had hidden her true face for months while pretending to be weak and plain.

And now, everyone thought she was a hero.

My hands clenched into fists, as anger bubbled up inside my chest.

I thought about Vivienne’s smile, about Viktor’s black eyes, about the map I had handed over, and about the silver allergy I had revealed.

I did not feel bad for exposing Kaelen’s secret, because he should have chosen me. He should have looked at me the way he looks at her, and he should have held me in his arms and whispered my name like it meant something.

But he chose a liar, a fraud, and a nobody.

So he would pay too. Not with his life, but just with his weakness, and just enough pain to remind him that he made the wrong choice.

In fact, that was his punishment for choosing Talia as his Luna, instead of me.

I had given them everything they needed to destroy Talia. I had handed over the map, the patrol routes, the weak points, and the silver allergy. I handed them all over like gifts, and like offerings, to a goddess of revenge.

I was sure that Vivienne would use them well. Viktor would lead the attack, and Talia would fall.

I imagined her face when the rogues broke through the walls. The fear in her eyes, the panic in her voice, and the way she would scream for help that would not come.

The image made me smile, and I felt nothing but satisfaction.

I closed my eyes, as I smiled in the darkness.

Tomorrow, the attack would begin, and Talia would finally get what she deserved.
