Chapter 147: Chapter 147 The pack’s acceptance 3

Talia’s POV

His lips were warm and soft, and I kissed him back.

The water ran over us, and the steam curled around our bodies. He pressed me against the cool stone wall, and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

His hands moved down my body, slow and exploring. He knew every curve now, and every scar, and he had memorized me. He moved his hand to my entrance, and pushed two fingers into me.

"I love you," he whispered against my lips.

"I love you too," I gasped.

He pulled out his hand, put it into his mouth and licked every bit of it, then he lifted me easily, and my legs wrapped around his waist. The water ran over us, and he entered inside me, slow and gentle. I gasped louder and held onto him.

He moved slowly, and his forehead pressed against mine, as his gray eyes stayed open, watching me.

"You are mine," he said.

"I am yours," I managed to reply.

"And I am yours," he said.

Then he moved faster, and I clung to him. The water was warm, and his body was warm, and I felt like I was floating. The pleasure built inside me, slow and steady, like a wave rising.

When I cried out his name, he followed right after, spilling his content on my thighs.

We stayed there for a moment, tangled together, breathing hard. The water ran over us, and the steam filled the room.

Then he kissed my forehead and turned off the water.

He carried me to the bed, and we lay down together. The sheets were cool against my skin, and the fire crackled in the hearth.

He kissed my neck, my collarbone, and my chest. His lips traced a path down my body, slow and worshipful, and I gripped the sheets beneath me and let myself feel it all.

His mouth found my breast, and I gasped. His tongue was warm, and his hands held my hips steady. I arched my back and cried out.

"Kaelen," I whispered.

He looked up at me. His gray eyes were dark, but soft. "I want to hear you," he said.

He lowered his head again, and his mouth moved lower. Down my stomach, down my hips, until he found the place between my legs.

The pleasure was overwhelming.

It was too much and not enough at the same time. My body was not my own at this moment, as Kaelen claimed every inch of me. His mouth worked back and forth between my thighs, and my entrance, making my whole body shake nonstop.

I had never let myself feel anything like this.

But with Kaelen, I did not have to hold back. I moaned, and cried out from pleasure, as electricity ran through my body. I begged him to stop or slow down, but he only went in deeper.

I cried out even more, as my body released hot liquid everywhere. “Kae...len... ple... ase... no... yes...”

Still he did not stop.

I thought I would die from the pleasure. My back arched off the bed, and my fingers curled into his hair. He held me steady, with his hands firm on my hips, and he did not stop until I was crying out his name.

Only then did he rise above me and join our bodies together again.

We moved together, slow and sweet. His forehead pressed against mine, and his gray eyes stayed open. He watched me, and I watched him.

"I love you," he said.

"I love you," I cried out.

We moved faster, and the pleasure built again higher and higher, until I could not breathe. I clung to him, and he held me tight.

When it was over, we lay tangled together, breathing hard. His hand rested on my stomach, and my head was on his chest, as the fire crackled, and the shadows danced.

"Are you happy?" he asked.

I thought about it. About everything I had survived, and the challenges I had passed, about the storage room and the hunger and the cold. About Vivienne and Celeste and the fifteen years I spent in Cresswood suffering.

I thought about Lyra, who was warm in my chest. And about Kaelen, who was warm beside me.

"Yes," I said. "I am happy."

For the first time in my life, I was truly happy.

I did not know what tomorrow would bring. I did not know if Serena would try something new, or which trial I might have to pass next.

But tonight, I was free, I was not alone, and I was finally home.

Kaelen’s chest rose and fell beneath my cheek, slow and steady, and Lyra was warm in my chest, purring like a cat. I felt safe, I felt whole, and I felt like I had finally found where I belonged.

The fire crackled, the shadows danced, and Kaelen’s heart beat beneath my ear. Lyra was warm in my chest, everything was quiet, and everything was still. For the first time in my life, I was not waiting for the next blow, not bracing for the next insult, and not hiding.

I was just... home, and it was beautiful.

I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and listened to Kaelen’s heartbeat, until sleep took me.
