The Heroines Can Hear My and the Protagonist's Inner Voice!?

Chapter 66: Mission is a Go

Chapter 66: Mission is a Go

"Good morning, beautiful," Shen Tian muttered sleepily as he opened his eyes.

The first thing he saw was Ling Shuangxue’s face only inches away from his own.

Her long hair was slightly messy from sleep, making the usually cold business beauty look surprisingly soft and adorable.

"Good morning... husband..."

Ling Shuangxue’s cheeks reddened slightly after saying it out loud.

Even now, the word still made her heart race.

Before Shen Tian could tease her about it...

Thump.

Bai Xue lightly punched his stomach from where she was laying comfortably on his chest.

"Don’t forget about me."

Shen Tian laughed softly before pinching her nose.

"How could I forget my underground queen?"

Bai Xue instantly blushed and buried herself back underneath the blanket in embarrassment.

From behind Shen Tian...

"Oh my... it seems you’re awake early today."

Qin Ruobing’s low, mature voice sounded near his ear as she pressed herself against his back lazily.

Shen Tian honestly enjoyed the soft feeling far too much.

Smiling slightly, he stretched his arms.

"I just had a really good dream..."

"Oh?" Qin Ruobing asked curiously.

Shen Tian chuckled.

"I dreamed something bad happened to Chu Fang."

The entire bed instantly became quieter for a second.

Then several women failed to hold back their laughter.

Li Lian, who had been quietly resting lower beneath the blanket, lazily wrapped her arms around Shen Tian possessively.

"Well," she said calmly, "we should probably start our day."

Her dark eyes narrowed slightly.

"And we also need to begin the plan we discussed. Getting closer to those sisters... We can finally move about doing that."

The moment she mentioned the Chu sisters, the atmosphere became slightly more serious.

Shen Tian gave a small nod.

"Yeah, it’s time to get started."

. . .

Early in the morning, Chu Zijin was out jogging.

However, unlike before, she now had to wear sunglasses and a hat to partially hide her appearance.

Ever since the massive success of her song...

Whenever she stepped outside now...

People recognized her instantly.

Fans rushed over asking for autographs.

Reporters constantly tried interviewing her.

Even random pedestrians would secretly record videos of her.

The song was still dominating charts everywhere, and countless music companies had already begun desperately trying to sign her.

But Chu Zijin refused every single offer.

She wasn’t stupid enough to immediately sell herself away to some company contract.

If she was going to enter the industry seriously...

She wanted to do it properly.

And besides...

A huge reason for her success was Shen Tian.

So emotionally, she already trusted him far more than any entertainment company.

’I hope Shen Tian starts a record label company... I’d sign with him on the promise to be his woman!’

Her phone suddenly rang.

Seeing the caller ID, Chu Zijin’s eyes immediately brightened.

"Senior Sister!"

She quickly answered the call.

"Hello?"

Li Lian’s calm voice came from the other side.

"Good morning."

Chu Zijin smiled happily.

"Good morning, Senior Sister!"

"Are you busy today?" Li Lian asked casually.

Chu Zijin slowed down before stopping near a pole to drink some water.

"Not really—"

Before she could finish speaking, Li Lian calmly interrupted.

"Perfect. Then let’s make another song together. This time with both of us as the lead singers."

Chu Zijin’s eyes instantly widened.

"Really?!"

Her voice nearly became too loud from excitement before she hurriedly lowered it again.

"I’d love to! I’ll head to the studio right now!"

Even through the phone, Li Lian could hear the genuine happiness in her voice.

A faint smirk appeared on Li Lian’s face.

"I’ll meet you there at 8:30. Got it!"

The moment the call ended, Chu Zijin stared at her phone with an even bigger smile than before.

Her entire mood improved.

Not only would she get to work with her respected senior sister again...

But deep down...

She also secretly hoped Shen Tian might be there too.

. . .

"Hello, is this Chu Chuchu?"

Bai Xue’s cute voice came from the other side of the phone.

Meanwhile, inside her kitchen, Chu Chuchu was currently experimenting with new recipes.

She had her phone pinned between her shoulder and ear while multitasking at frightening speed.

"Yes, ma’am."

Bai Xue smiled slightly.

"Great. I saw your online post about offering private chef services. You see, I need a personal chef. I’m too busy to cook for myself these days, and honestly, I’m getting tired of ordering food delivery."

Chu Chuchu skillfully flipped a pancake into the air before catching it perfectly again.

"I can cook anything you want," she replied confidently. But I am expensive. And I also have one requirement."

Bai Xue leaned back against the couch while grinning.

"Price isn’t an issue. Now what’s the requirement?"

Chu Chuchu’s expression became serious.

"I don’t cook for men. No matter their age, unless they’re family."

Hearing this, Bai Xue suddenly giggled mischievously.

"Don’t worry about that. It’s only me living here. And I’m pretty sure I’m a woman."

Then, while looking down at herself, Bai Xue casually opened part of her pajamas before glancing downward thoughtfully.

"Yeah. Definitely no penis here."

The moment Chu Chuchu heard that response...

The pancake she was flipping landed directly onto her head.

"...What."

Her face became blank from disbelief.

’She actually checked herself?! I can tell you’re a female!’

For several seconds, Chu Chuchu genuinely didn’t know how to respond.

Eventually, she shook her head helplessly.

"...Alright, then send me your contact information and address. I can start today."

"Awesome," Bai Xue replied happily.

"Oh, and make sure to send me your banking information too, so I can transfer your payment immediately."

With that, Bai Xue ended the call.

Chu Chuchu stood alone in her kitchen with sparkling eyes.

"My first wealthy customer..."

She clenched her fists excitedly.

"Finally!"

The pancake slowly slid down her head.

. . .

Practicing her diving techniques, Chu Mei was currently training at a professional diving facility.

Again and again, she pushed herself deeper into the massive training pool, focusing on improving her underwater endurance and pressure tolerance.

Eventually, she resurfaced from the water and brushed wet hair away from her face.

That was when she noticed one of the workers waving toward her.

"Chu Mei!"

"Yes?" she replied while swimming closer.

"Someone’s calling you."

The woman held out her phone carefully.

After climbing out of the water, Chu Mei grabbed a towel and sat down nearby while drying her hands and hair.

Looking at the screen, she noticed the caller ID was from an unknown number.

"...Doesn’t seem like spam."

Curious, she answered the call.

"Hello? Who is this?"

A voice responded from the other side.

"Good morning. My name is Ling Shuangxue."

"I’m an entrepreneur, and I was wondering if I could merge my beach-cleaning charity efforts with the charity you currently work with."

Chu Mei froze slightly.

"With all due respect..."

She awkwardly scratched the back of her neck.

"That’s honestly above my pay grade..."

Hearing her nervous response, Ling Shuangxue softly giggled.

"I’ve already spoken with Shen Tian."

The moment Chu Mei heard that name...

Her entire expression visibly brightened.

"Shen Tian?"

Even the people nearby could hear the happiness in her voice.

"That’s right," Ling Shuangxue continued calmly.

"He said that as long as you were okay with it, the merge could move forward."

Chu Mei subconsciously placed a hand over her chest.

’He really considered my feelings first... He knows how much this charity means to me...’

A warm smile slowly appeared on her face.

"Of course," she replied gently.

"You can merge with us. I just hope you won’t turn it into some money-making project. This charity isn’t supposed to be about profit."

Ling Shuangxue answered immediately.

"Don’t worry. I’m perfectly fine taking a financial loss."

Then after a brief pause, she added,

"Actually... I’d also like to meet with you today if possible. I want to hear more about the charity from you personally."

Chu Mei’s eyes instantly lit up.

Talking about marine life and the ocean itself was practically one of her favorite things in the world.

"Of course! Let’s meet for coffee!"

"Perfect," Ling Shuangxue replied.

"I’ll send you a location shortly."

After ending the call, Chu Mei slowly stood up and stretched her body.

A small smile remained on her lips.

On the other side, Shen Tian was standing behind Ling Shuangxue with his arms wrapped around her waist.

She leaned comfortably back against him while rubbing her ass on him.

"Good job," Shen Tian said softly near her ear.

"When you meet Chu Mei, tell her the charity can be under her name. I’ll also increase the funding."

Ling Shuangxue glanced back over her shoulder.

"You really are a good man..."

Her voice softened slightly.

"Even that hospital you donated to has improved a lot recently. I heard several of those sick children are expected to fully recover now because of the increased budget."

Shen Tian simply waved his hand dismissively.

"It was only the right thing to do. I might be considered a villain to those protagonists... But those children never did anything wrong. If I have the power to give them a better chance at life, then I should."

"Oh right..."

Ling Shuangxue suddenly remembered something else.

"That woman you brought to the hospital before... You know, the one from the soup kitchen. She’s recovering really well now. Will you go see her again?"

Shen Tian thought quietly for a moment before rubbing his chin.

"I’ll help her get back on her feet when she’s discharged."

His voice became softer.

"She’s already suffered enough in her life. She needs all the support she can get."

Ling Shuangxue’s eyes gently trembled hearing those words.

At this point...

She genuinely couldn’t understand how the protagonists viewed Shen Tian as a villain.

Because from everything she had personally seen and heard...

He was far kinder than any so-called "protagonist".
