Chapter 65: Let true villainy begin

(This has never happened before. We don’t know where or why all this unbecoming act is starting. Some users oppose the motion of choosing Lupingo as an icon for the new and old generation, but they were blasted. The Lupingo defenders defended Lupingo really well, with facts. After that, they blasted them to the extent that it was hard for them to show their face online again. The hero lovers also came out to talk, stating facts on why following Lupingo and having him as an icon is a wrong thing. They said a lot of things, but as soon as the Lupingo defenders arrived and blasted them also, their voices haven’t been loud again.)

(They are still talking, but not as loud as they were talking before. Rumors have been going on about the rumors, rumors that are throwing dirt on the term called heroes. The rumors are saying that heroes are causing more crime and mayhem on the street than what the villains are doing. We all know that it’s a lie, but some people are supporting the rumors. They said the heroes are not doing their job. They said they are just children playing with something they did not deserve. They said they are just lucky to receive power or to be born with it. They said Lupingo is doing the job they can’t do, and he is doing it more efficiently than them.)

The reporters contained two adult MILFs, two middle-aged men, and a young man who was the person reading the news out. After sharing his piece on the news, he brought out a chilled bottle of water to drink, to dry his parched throat. He didn’t ask for excuse. He felt that it was normal, and it was in his right, so he drank his water. And after his thirst was satiated, he stopped. Vivian stood up from her seat, went to her room, and came back with two popcorns. She gave one to Avery, and she held the other one in her hand.

I looked at her and felt like asking her what she’s doing, but I felt that the answer will just pour more salt in my wound, the wound that is still increasing.

The young man began to talk again.

(The villain hero seemed to have scratched an itch that the citizens have been feeling for so long. A lot of people felt that things have been too easy for the heroes so far. It’s always the same: catch a villain, perform a live execution, killing them in the battle place, not giving them any chance for any comeback or any revenge plot. They felt that it had made the heroes layback. They felt that a villain like Lupingo, who always seems to escape from ever being caught by them, and always survives, that that is a good thing for the heroes. A villain that can’t be stopped immediately, a villain that will keep them on their toes, an unpredictable villain that they can’t predict.)

(But didn’t he kill a hero recently? Ain’t that something bad?)

Another reporter asked the other reporter.

(They also talked about that. They said that Lupingo killed the hero for a reason. They said that the hero did something, but the content of what the hero did wasn’t mentioned at all. Everybody that knows about the incident are tight-lipped about it. They said that it was a lie, that it is a lie from the mouth of a villain.)

(People argue the fact. They say Lupingo does not kill the innocent. Although he is a villain that caused different mayhem, that he does not kill the innocent.)

(Okay, he doesn’t kill innocents. But didn’t he kill Acid Ghost in the beginning and cause that new train hijacking, and even caused his cults to go on a rampage?)

(That’s all past deeds, and they have defended that. They said Acid Ghost was a villain that deserved his death. They said evidence of what Acid Ghost did had been verified by the Hero Association, and the H.A. even posted some list of the deeds of what he did, and it’s one word that the word ’disgusting’ felt unable to define.

(The train hijacking, well, they also defended it. They said Lupingo was after something else, that nobody innocent died in the process. They said it was alright with them. And the one about his cults, that Lupingo solved the issue himself, that he killed all the members of the cult on live TV. As for what happened to the main boss, they have no idea about that. There are even some memes of the scene online that have been popping up.)

(Some people said it was a conspiracy by Lupingo to give himself a good image. They said he created a cult to fulfill that goal. They said that the henchmen were just pawns in his game, that the boss was his partner in crime, that she was someone important to Lupingo, that that’s why he carried her along with him.)

I felt a headache at the news that is happening. I felt that watching more will just make the headache more, but I know that I can’t remove the news channel either. I am already questioning why I put on the TV.

The two with me are not following along with my misery at all. They are enjoying my misery. You could see that with the rate at which they are eating their popcorn.

They are enjoying my misery. Vivian couldn’t help herself and said,

"Avery, isn’t the news channel more interesting now? It looks so fun and interesting. I always thought that the news channel was boring, but now I am starting to doubt that. Am I not right, Avery?" Vivian said and asked.

Avery nodded along with her also while smiling.

I looked at them, and in my mind my thoughts were affirmed. I am in this alone. They are right that when you are facing misery, it is only you and yourself, and now I can see that the saying is true.

The reporter then continued and argued back.

(That’s just a conspiracy theory by the Lupingo haters. They have tracked all the goons, and they are convicts, and Lupingo defenders have also defended his fact. And people said it’s all a lie, that Lupingo won’t do that, that it’s all a lie by Lupingo haters.)

"That’s right! That’s the only truth you have said so far! I am innocent!" Lupingo stood up from his position and began arguing with the TV.

Vivian and Avery were watching me like I am not sane in the head again, that I have finally lost it. But do I care about that? Maybe a little small, but that’s not what’s important now.

Lupingo quickly turned off the TV. He doesn’t care about if the girls are enjoying it or not. He has already gotten his win already. He is afraid that if the TV stays on, that he will hear another rubbish that will destroy his victory, so he turned it off before that could happen.

"Why, Friesian? Why did you turn off the TV? We were enjoying the news," Vivian said.

And in my mind I was thinking, why wouldn’t she? She is just a sadist to my misery, and I won’t give her that joy no matter what.

"I am sorry about that, but we have more important things than the news. We need to carry out a new terrorism right away."

"Didn’t you just finish one mission recently? Shouldn’t you rest more?"

"I have rested enough. I am now strong and energized. I am ready to perform another terrorism, so let’s do it."

"Why are you acting like that, Mr. Lupingo?"

I looked at Avery and replied,

"I need to perform another terrorism soon. We need to do it. It’s urgent. My image is too good. That’s not the kind of reputation I want for my villain self. I mean, how can I be an icon for people? Me, Lupingo? No. We need to perform another terrorism. I need to show them what a villain is, and why they shouldn’t like a villain.

"We will show them what a ’True Villain’ is all about, and they will see. They will all see," I said, and I shouted and laughed with enthusiasm like a real villain.

"Friesian, you are not looking okay, so I will listen and help in whatever way I can."

I don’t know what she’s talking about. I am perfectly okay, just a little desperate to change my image.

"So what are we doing this time? I hope it is not one of your crazy plans."

"None of my plans are crazy at all. They are always in the middle stage, the middle of okay and psychotic deranged, so they are all perfectly okay. And we are picking one out from them."

Vivian sighed and said,

"Haa... I will prepare in earnest. Just tell me which one to be exact before I lose my mind instead."

"Don’t worry, you won’t lose your mind much. The plan is..."

World, just wait. You will finally call me a true villain once all this is over. I would no longer be your icon anymore.

All of them will know. They will all know.
