The Heiress They Lost Came Back Overpowered

Chapter 320: Little Mouth, Don't Talk

  • Next Chapter

The atmosphere in the dining room froze for a moment. Old Mr. Lowell was the first to pick up his chopsticks.

“Everyone’s here. Let’s eat.”

Everyone began to eat as if nothing had happened, chatting away happily amongst themselves.

Leo Grant placed a piece of braised sparerib in Yvonne Lowell’s bowl and said softly,

“I bet someone’s going to lose their appetite for the next few days.”

“As long as I have my appetite, that’s all that matters. These ribs Aunt Joy made are delicious. I’ll have another piece,”

Yvonne Lowell said calmly after swallowing a bite of rib.

Leo Grant let out a laugh and obediently complied.

‘The Lowell family’s second son totally deserved it,’ he thought. ‘Why did he have to run his mouth? What was the point of provoking her?’

‘Mess with me, and you’ve picked a fight you can’t win,’ Yvonne thought smugly.

With a thrilled heart and trembling hands, Harrison Lowell walked stiffly into the dining room, his arms and legs on each side moving in unison.

However, he found that no one had even noticed his absence, and he could only sit down in his place, feeling utterly dejected.

Throughout the meal, he would periodically shoot Yvonne Lowell a wounded look. The way he picked at his bowl of rice, one would think he was a pining wife in some lonely boudoir.

No wonder he was a Best Actor winner; his skills were truly top-tier.

Yvonne Lowell paid his glares no mind, calmly accepting the food Leo Grant offered her.

Finally, Zachary Jacobs, who was sitting beside him, noticed something was off and nudged his arm with his elbow.

“What are you doing? Did my sister tick you off earlier?”

‘He’s shooting her daggers, like he wants to subject her to death by a thousand cuts.’

“Hmph, it’s worse than that! She’s practically violated a heavenly law! It’s a crime punishable by death!”

Harrison Lowell said viciously, then looked at Zachary Jacobs with suspicion.

“By the way, Angus, you must have known for a while that she’s Master Y, the founder of ilpianeta, right?”

Zachary Jacobs’s hand paused, chopsticks in mid-air. He glanced at Yvonne Lowell across the table, who was eating heartily without a care in the world, before speaking.

“She just told you?”

“Yeah. She told me she made this brooch I’m wearing. Doesn’t that mean she is?”

Zachary Jacobs replied evasively, “Yeah, that’s about the gist of it. But I only found out recently myself.”

“Tch, no way… When did you find out?”

The expression on Harrison Lowell’s face clearly said, ‘You’re totally bullshitting me!’

‘They all lived together for the past few years, so how could he have only just found out?!’

“Just a few years ago. I only found out a few years ago.”

As he spoke, Zachary Jacobs didn’t forget to add some food to Harrison’s plate. “Hurry up and eat. It’ll get cold if you wait any longer.”

‘Just eat, for crying out loud,’ Zachary thought. ‘Can’t food shut that mouth of yours?’

‘Just shut your little mouth!’

Harrison Lowell wanted to howl but instinctively remembered he was at the dinner table. He snuck a glance at the chatting elders, then lowered his voice to a hiss.

“Are you kidding me?! ‘A few years ago’? ilpianeta was only founded a few years ago!!”

“What are you talking about? I honestly didn’t find out until over a year after she founded it. That’s her own personal venture,”

Zachary Jacobs said with a wry smile.

Harrison Lowell punched him under the table.

“And you didn’t tell me! Are we even brothers?! You knew perfectly well my favorite designer is Master Y!! After all these years of searching, my idol was right in front of me the whole time! Do you have any idea how that feels!? Huh!?”

“I get it, I get it. This one’s on me, my bad…”

The little version of Zachary Jacobs in his mind was crying and biting a handkerchief. ‘She didn’t tell me she was going to tell you, either!’

‘Besides, is this any way to treat your idol?! Huh?! Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were a hater!!’

‘Why am I always the one who gets hurt?!’

…

「After lunch.」

Harrison Lowell latched onto Yvonne Lowell, pouring her tea, fetching her water, and offering her fruit, his smile utterly fawning.

Thankfully they were in a side parlor. If the elders had seen him, they would have probably thought he’d been possessed by some malevolent spirit and needed to drink blessed talisman water.

Caleb Lowell shot a questioning look at Leo Grant: ‘Did that kid get himself into trouble again, again, and again?’

Leo Grant leisurely raised an eyebrow in response: ‘You’re his brother and you don’t know, so how would I?’

“Nola… ah, no, my Idol…”

Yvonne Lowell raised a hand to cut him off.

“Oh, please, I couldn’t possibly accept that title. I’m not good enough. What makes you think I’m an idol?”

At that moment, Harrison Lowell felt like the words he’d spoken two hours ago had returned like a boomerang, stabbing him straight through the heart.

He was instantly riddled with a thousand holes, battered and bruised, a picture of complete devastation…

“No! You are good enough! You’re the best! You are my idol! You are the most amazing designer in the world!”

Harrison Lowell began to massage her shoulders like a total suck-up.

“Well, thank you then?” Yvonne Lowell said, her lips curling into a teasing smile.

She knew just how much her goofy second brother loved ilpianeta’s products. His entire walk-in closet might not be full of them, but at least two-thirds of it was.

But the thing about him… was that he tended to forget his place very easily.

He was always the biggest suck-up whenever he received a gift, but a few days later, his ego would be soaring through the roof again. She always had to be the one to put him back in his place.

Harrison Lowell’s expression stiffened for a moment, but he quickly recovered and said with a smile,

“Aw, don’t mention it! Why be so formal? We’re siblings, born from the same mother and father! Blood is thicker than water! We’re flesh and blood, you and I! Right?”

Yvonne Lowell put on a ‘maternally loving’ smile. “And? What are you trying to say?”

‘If he weren’t her biological brother, she would have shipped this big idiot off to Country X to work in the mines for her long ago.’

“Well… I just wanted to know if you’ve had any new flashes of inspiration recently, or if you have any new products coming out soon.”

Yvonne Lowell nodded knowingly.

“Ohh, of course I have inspiration. Didn’t I say before dinner that I needed to prepare my wedding attire? It was right around when you said I wasn’t good enough for the task. Have you forgotten?”

Harrison Lowell could guarantee that there would never be another moment in his entire life when he hated his own stupid mouth as much as he did right now.

“Nola~ I’d like to request priority purchasing rights for a product, can I?” Harrison Lowell began to shamelessly beg and plead, even raising his hand to make an “oath,” holding up four fingers.

“I swear, I’ll pay! I’ll definitely pay! I just want priority access. It’s so hard for me to camp the site for new drops every time!”

He’d never seen a high-end luxury brand as capricious as ilpianeta. Announcing new products at random times was one thing.

But on top of that, they never announced the actual release time, always launching them stealthily. An outsider might think they were doing something illegal.

But this also made the limited-edition items even more difficult to snatch up. Many wealthy people hired others to sit on the website page around the clock, constantly refreshing. Basically, every release was sold out the instant it went live.

‘There are so many high-end luxury brands in the world; what difference would it make if a few fewer people were competing with him for ilpianeta’s stuff?!’

Yvonne Lowell’s lips twitched. ‘Who swears an oath with four fingers? Isn’t this just the prelude to him forgetting his lesson all over again?’

Yvonne Lowell sighed, feigning distress. “Second Brother, it’s not that I don’t want to help you, it’s just that it would be unfair to other customers.”

“We’ll do it secretly. I won’t tell anyone, I absolutely promise,” Harrison Lowell assured her.

“What aren’t we telling other people?”

Adrian Lowell’s fluffy-haired head popped out from between the two of them as he asked out of the blue.
