Chapter 298: Chapter 136: Nice Body? Too Bad You Ran Into Boss Su

"Boss, another order of the Stir-Fried Yellow Beef, light on the oil and salt! And add a bowl of rice!"

The women all looked shocked, glancing at each other in disbelief.

What?

’Are we hearing things?’

"She ordered again? And she got a bowl of rice?"

"Damn! Coach Shen is unreal. She lies to us during the day about how hard she works, only to sneak out for a late-night snack by herself? And she’s having two servings?"

"Damn it! I knew it. Coach Shen must be one of those people who can eat whatever she wants without gaining a pound. That has to be how she maintains her figure, right?"

"Enough. I just want to know, what are we supposed to do now?"

Having come this far, the woman in the lead steeled her resolve. "Let’s go! We’re going straight over there!"

Immediately, the four of them straightened their backs.

Their sneaky demeanor vanished, replaced by an air of wealth and sophistication that could have stunned the entire Pedestrian Street.

However, they didn’t walk straight to the stall. Instead, they pretended to be casually passing by, and then...

"Huh? Coach Shen? Is that you? What are you...?"

Hearing her name, Shen Ning looked up. She froze for a moment, and then her face flushed red.

’Damn it!’

’How could my students run into me here?’

"Oh! It’s nothing. I was just a little hungry after my workout, so I came to get a bite to eat."

Shen Ning said it with practiced ease, as she already knew what to do next to maintain her image. "This place is actually great. The boss can even make fat-loss meals. Do you want to try some?"

The four women exchanged a glance.

’Coach Shen is really putting on a convincing act...’

As fate would have it, Bai Xiaobo brought over a bowl of rice.

Shen Ning turned her head. "This must be a mistake. I didn’t order rice."

Bai Xiaobo was utterly baffled.

’There are only a handful of people here, and she’s telling me I made a mistake?’

"I don’t think it’s a mistake. I heard you very clearly. You’re the one who ordered the rice just now."

Shen Ning shook her head. "Impossible. I haven’t eaten rice in years. I make it a habit not to eat staple foods for dinner. You’ve definitely made a mistake. Please take it away; I don’t eat rice."

Baffled, Bai Xiaobo looked at Shen Ning, then shot a helpless glance toward Su Chen in the food cart.

Seeing Su Chen give a slight nod, Bai Xiaobo said no more and put the bowl of rice back in the warmer.

"Is that woman nuts? She was definitely the one who ordered it. Boss, I’m positive I didn’t get it wrong."

Su Chen laughed as he slowly stir-fried the beef. "If she says you’re wrong, you’re wrong. Don’t argue with a customer. It’s no skin off our backs."

Inwardly, he found the whole thing rather amusing.

’This Coach Shen is hilarious, getting caught sneaking food by her own students. Her whole image is probably about to shatter.’

Having already mastered it once, Su Chen now prepared the low-oil, low-salt Stir-Fried Yellow Beef with practiced ease, all while eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Is it really a fat-burning fitness meal?"

Shen Ning nodded firmly. "That’s right. Beef, celery, cilantro, and long peppers. Plus, the boss doesn’t use any oil or salt when he cooks it, just a bit of light soy sauce. You can go watch him if you don’t believe me."

To preserve her image, Shen Ning was desperately trying to prove that this dish really wouldn’t make them gain weight.

"Then let’s go take a look!"

The four women approached Su Chen’s stall. The leader, who was wearing a blue dress, whispered, "8828!"

The number made Su Chen, who was in the middle of cooking, look up curiously.

He watched as the four women in front of him all took out their phones, quickly typed ’8828’ into the WeChat interface, and instantly created a new proximity-based group chat.

’Damn! Is this how terrifying women can be?’

’They even have such a high-tech way to whisper? Terrifying. I’m going to have to keep my distance from women from now on.’

The newly created group chat immediately started buzzing with notifications.

"The coach is still putting on an act, as if we don’t know she’s already on her second serving, haha!"

"I don’t know if it’s true, but is this really a fat-loss meal? It smelled so amazing when we were jogging past!"

"What are you all looking at? Is this really the time to watch him cook? Why not focus on something more attractive? A guy cooking in a suit... it’s strangely charming, isn’t it?"

"Damn it! Cooking in a suit... he’s kinda hot!"

Perhaps they themselves didn’t even realize that a man cooking in a suit was its own kind of uniform fantasy...

But just looking wasn’t enough for them.

The woman in blue was bold. "Excuse me, Boss? Do you really make this Stir-Fried Yellow Beef without any oil or salt? Does that mean you can lose weight eating it?"

Without looking up, Su Chen replied, "It won’t make you lose weight. But I do make it without oil and salt. That was a special request from that customer."

"Then could we get one... I mean, four orders?"

Su Chen tossed all the vegetables into the wok. "You can, but I wouldn’t recommend it."

The woman in blue was rather chatty. "Oh? And why’s that?"

Su Chen poured the finished dish from the wok into a small bowl, handed it to Bai Xiaobo, and then said, "Because it doesn’t taste good."

The reason was just that simple.

The reason Shen Ning found it delicious was that she had been eating that way for years.

The low-oil, low-salt preparation met her primary dietary requirement. By gently stir-frying the meat, the flavors from the marinade were sealed in, creating an aftertaste that ignited her taste buds.

But it was different for other people.

These students were clearly not true fitness fanatics. Su Chen noticed that the woman in the blue dress, the one who kept talking to him, was wearing a Vacheron Constantin Égérie watch on her wrist.

Back when he was a streamer, knowledge of luxury goods had been a required subject, so Su Chen had spotted it instantly.

For a rich woman like her, working out was probably just a way to kill time and snap a photo for her social media.
