The Golem Mage
Chapter 1207: A New Region Up For Grabs [1].
At that exact time, the blood moon war was on the verge of beginning within the Five Kingdom regions.
Meanwhile, after the hundred talents had taken to the Origin realm, the northern kingdom king had finally turned his focus toward the few individuals and organisations he viewed as thorns in his side.
His greatest obstacle was the War God mage academy; however, since he could not launch a direct attack against them, he targeted the much weaker Gordons clan instead.
He had utilized his royal authority to heavily restrict them before they faced the hearing of their case where it states they killed a worker of the royal clan, but even after bringing them to court, the gathered evidence failed to convict them of any crime, forcing him to let them go.
Still, he found other ways to deal with them by assigning them the responsibility of now defending Estonia city as its new lords, while completely withholding any support to them, city guards, and city guardians were also not sent to the city to aid in its blood moon war defenses.
Given that Estonia city possessed a space gate that bordered on a High rank classification, they had every right to request for external reinforcement from the Capital, it was entirely justified.
However, George Gordons was fully aware that his clan was facing a targeted scheme led by the Northern Kingdom king, so he believed making any request for aid and still having expectations of such assistance was completely unrealistic.
As a result, they resigned themselves to the reality that their clan would have to spearhead the confrontation against the invading forces during every blood moon conflict, like the city’s new city guard forces.
This responsibility, which historically belonged to the city hall forces, was deliberately imposed on them by the Northern king, because by leaving the clan completely shorthanded, he intended for them to be utterly annihilated by the incoming waves of the Abyssal races.
The collateral damage and loss of other innocent lives that would be incurred if the Gordons lost meant absolutely nothing to him.
Born into an elite, high-status family, his sense of personal superiority blinded him to the value of ordinary people’s lives.
However, that was precisely the problem.
According to reports from his spies, the Gordons clan had not perished in the last blood moon war as he had expected but had instead secured a resounding victory without too many losses.
Their demonstrated strength far exceeded what a mid-tier clan should be capable of displaying, though they were still not considered a high-tier clan by a far margin due to the apparent absence of Tier 8 mages or a single Tier 9 mage to anchor them.
What the Northern king remained completely oblivious to was that he was being intentionally fed this specific information, the only elders from the Gordons clan who had participated in the blood moon conflict were those already publicly recognized as high-rank mages.
In contrast, those who had recently achieved breakthroughs or ascended into the high-rank realm through the use of mental pills and high rank cultivation pills that Alec dropped remained completely concealed and had not yet made a move.
In truth, the Gordons clan currently boasted more than twenty mages within the high-rank realm, with the patriarch and the Fourth Elder himself already reaching the Tier 8 realm.
Whenever the patriarch engaged in battle, he deliberately suppressed his aura to that of a peak Tier 7 cultivator, and because the spies possessed far weaker mental power and lower cultivation realms than his own, it was utterly impossible for them to discern his true realm.
Although the Gordons clan was fully aware of the new spies embedded within the city, because their position as its undisputed overlords meant very little information ever escaped their notice.
Even so, they chose to feign ignorance, because based on the previous discussions between Alec and his grandfather, the man became aware that the Northern kingdom king was an exceptionally troublesome enemy to have who harbored petty grievances.
So weeding out these easily outsmarted spies would not deter him; instead, it would have only fueled his determination, prompting him to deploy far more competent spy operatives into the city.
Recognizing that they were dealing with a ruler whose petty tendencies drove him to target them secretly, simply because he lacked the legal and righteous justification to attack openly, the clan then decided to play along with the charade.

Lately, however, the patriarch of the Gordons clan couldn’t shake the unsettling feeling that something was fundamentally wrong with the forthcoming Blood Moon war.
For some time now, they had been monitoring the power levels emitted by the space gates, and the results were deeply unsettling, because every measurement indicated that this upcoming wave would be far more perilous than the one they had endured just last month.
This defiance of expectations was alarming; historically, a victory for the human forces should have caused the gate’s energy capacity to drop significantly.
The only way it could recover was if a massive amount of Origin essence crystals, and other rare resources found exclusively on the opposing side, had been intentionally sacrificed to artificially boost its power.
Yet, the current energy radiating from the space gate did more than merely match its previous month output; on the contrary, it felt distinctly more powerful than the energy wave they recorded the previous month.
As the first vanguard of Goblins finally came out from the glowing Space Eyes, the patriarch of the Gordons clan turned to the grand elder, his brother, who stood steadfast at his side.
“It seems our days of concealing our true strength have come to an end,” the patriarch muttered grimly.
“Summon the other high-rank enforcers from their seclusion. We will need them all.”
Emerging at the front of the horde were three distinct Hobgoblin variants. One possessed dark purple skin and wore garments crafted from refined beast pelts. Clutching a staff, while she exuded the unmistakable air of dignity typical of mages walking the magic path.
Positioned in the center was a crimson Hobgoblin variant, recognized as the only straight forward warrior member of the Hobgoblin evolution.
He carried a longsword strapped to his back and though he was standing slightly taller than the other two variants, however; he still maintained the physique of a slightly taller young adult.
The final variant was the dark-blue-skinned Hobgoblin that the forces of Estonia city know very well as Goten was a dark blue skinned Hobgoblin they encountered quite frequently as he had led the attack on their city many times in the past.
The blue skinned Hobgoblin naturally functioned as battlefield commanders, possessing an inherent talent for leadership that did not diminish their individual combat strength relative to the other two Hobgoblin variants.
However; their specialized abilities were tailored toward directing groups of Goblin combatants, making them highly favored to defeat the other variants provided they had subordinates under their direct command and were in a group battle.
These individuals served as the leadership core of the goblin force.
Upon emerging, they levitated into the air, glaring down at the high-rank human mages at the top of the city gates from their own elevated vantage point as though they were observing inferior creatures.
At the same time, waves of goblin warriors began pouring out from the space eye gate in massive numbers, yet this was merely the beginning of the deployment.
