Arwen was tending to the Tree of Life and the small porcelain Serpent of Life, which had doubled in size and now rested coiled across the tall, beautiful elf’s shoulders, its head lazily settled on her collarbone.

Beside her stood Auryndra, High Elf and High Priestess of Windmere Cathedral.

Upon hearing footsteps approaching, both turned their heads, their eyes settling on Ethan and Carmilla.

Naturally, both were ancient, far older than Carmilla herself, and they realized at once that she bore a contract with a Demon.

Vampires were a much more recent race than theirs, but a single glance at Carmilla was enough for them to know exactly which demon she had made her pact with.

Nyxara, Eternal Sovereign of Blood.

Arwen’s eyes narrowed slightly. She let out a sigh and rose to her feet.

Auryndra, for her part, let a hint of hostility show in her gaze, her shoulders tensing for a moment.

But seeing the vampire behaving so well at Ethan’s side, she simply looked away and turned her attention back to the tree.

Arwen showed no hostility whatsoever. She let out a soft chuckle as she allowed the serpent around her neck to slide down her arm and climb up into the branches of the Tree of Life.

"My husband really doesn’t forgive anything, huh?" She turned her face slowly, studying Carmilla with curiosity.

That vampire woman was, without a shadow of a doubt, deadly beautiful.

Carmilla returned the smile, revealing sharp fangs against blood-red lips.

"I am Carmilla Veyrath, Monarch of the Creatures of the Night... and you must be Arwen, I presume? Divine Priestess of the Three Goddesses. I have read of you in certain ancient texts." Carmilla spoke in a friendly tone.

"Hmm... I don’t think you found much information about me in those texts, correct?" Arwen asked, somewhat surprised.

"I have not." Carmilla shook her head. "Merely the accounts of ancient Elven historians—the parchment so aged it has very nearly turned to dust. And yet, now that I behold you, I am quite certain those texts spoke of you."

Hearing that, Arwen simply nodded with a sigh.

Well, she had been a powerful monarch, standing at the very top of this world, nearly at the eighth stage.

It was only natural that countless historians—whether elves, humans, or even dwarves—had written about her. 𝙛𝓇ⅇ

Of course, most of those texts had been destroyed over the course of hundreds or thousands of years.

But among so many writings—many of them kept in ancient vaults—it was to be expected that at least one or two would have survived to the present day.

In the end, the three women chatted for a few minutes, getting to know one another a little better, before Ethan left, taking Carmilla to the Golden Tower, where Amelia, Ysara, Alice, and Ophelia were waiting.

For the rest of the day, Ethan introduced Carmilla to all his other wives, even stopping by to visit Seo-ah, whose guild was already approaching two thousand members and now controlled a large portion of the hunting grounds in the Goldenveil territory.

They were the dominant gaming powerhouse in that region and, naturally, filled Ethan with pride.

Unfortunately, BustyViper was still away on her mission, so Ethan couldn’t admire the reason behind that woman’s name.

In any case, after showing Carmilla every corner of Goldenveil, he took her back to his office, where the two of them could once again turn their attention to the bottle of fifth-stage wine produced by John.

The office was quiet, the orange light of late afternoon streaming through the tall windows and bathing the dark wood of the desk.

"Blood Rose wine... do you intend to keep the name? I confess I rather like it," Carmilla remarked as Ethan picked up the bottle he had sealed before the two of them left.

He poured a glass for himself and another for her, settling into the wide armchair.

The red wine filled the glass, as clear as diamond crystal, gently reflecting the drink’s deep color.

"Yes." Ethan nodded, taking a sip and letting the flavor spread across his tongue. "I can ask him to prepare a few bottles for you before you leave for your kingdom... I can send a legion with you as well—five thousand men. But, well, I very much doubt your people will be happy to see you return to the palace with a human army in tow."

"Fufufufu~ It’s true." Carmilla laughed, her free hand covering her lips for a moment.

"But you needn’t trouble yourself over that. The Eternal Mountain was never suited to human armies in any case. I could, however, send a company of purebloods to you, should you wish it. The most loyal among them."

The beautiful vampire queen held the goblet between her long, pale, delicate fingers as she lowered her shapely, plump, juicy buttocks onto Ethan’s lap.

She shifted, adjusting her weight, and that heavy ass slid slowly over him, warm and full, each cheek rolling in turn against his thigh before settling with a gentle, lingering wobble.

She melted against him, relaxing, her back resting against his chest and the scent of roses rising from her golden hair.

Ethan nodded silently, one of his hands rising to cup one of her large, heavy breasts from below.

His palm sank into the lower curve of that ample flesh, the weight of it hanging against his fingers, soft and dense and spilling past the edges of his hand.

Carmilla let out a low sigh, her hips pressing a little deeper into his lap as she nestled closer into him and took a sip of wine.

Honestly, he was still thinking about what to do with the vampires.

In a way, they were extremely useful for nighttime operations.

Their night vision was unmatched, and they all possessed a certain level of control over shadows, with shape-shifting abilities being common among pure-blood vampires.

As for the name, he’d already decided: the Night Corps, an army unit focused on espionage, assassinations, night combat, and sabotage.

They would operate in small units, numbering a few dozen at most, always behind enemy lines.

Considering all the racial abilities of pure-blooded vampires, it was the most appropriate choice.
