Chapter 197: Chapter 197: A Thunderous Rage

Hearing this, Jiang Fan stopped and slowly turned around. "Yeah, you’re one to talk. Your whole family’s one to talk."

"How can a fucking idiot like you even exist?"

Jiang Fan didn’t hold back at all, instantly lashing out.

He felt no guilt whatsoever cursing out someone like her.

"Did you eat shit or something?"

Su Qingci’s brow furrowed. An inexplicable irritation welled up inside her, and a spark of anger ignited.

"Who was the one who came here looking for a fight?"

"Other people might not know about our relationship, but you do."

"As her best friend, you went out of your way to keep me busy so you could trick her into going to your house for a blind date with your brother?"

"Anyone with a functioning brain wouldn’t come up with a plot like that, would they?"

"But you? Not only did you think of it, you actually did it. How could you face her after that? And to think she considered you her best friend."

"So, if some bigger problem comes along, would you just sell her out without a second thought, as long as it benefits you or your family?"

Jiang Fan fired off the words like a machine gun, giving her no chance to even breathe.

"Who are you trying to kid? Don’t forget, the only reason you managed to make Fengming Group take that huge loss was because of me!"

"You were never good enough for her to begin with! I just wanted her to have a better partner!!"

Su Qingci retorted, flustered and enraged.

"Oh, right, right, you just wanted her to have a better partner. Who the hell do you think you are?"

"Before you do anything, you should first ask yourself if you even have the right."

"And don’t bring that incident up. I said I owed you a favor, but I’ve already paid it back. I asked you over and over, and you agreed."

"So, we’re even now. You’d best not mess with me."

"People like you piss me off. You’re a disgusting little snake!"

Jiang Fan spat on the ground and turned to leave. ’How had I never realized what a fucking idiot she was?’

Su Qingci was trembling with rage. She pointed at Jiang Fan but couldn’t get a single word out.

In truth, she had come this time hoping to mend her relationship with Jiang Fan.

She knew what she had done was wrong.

Coupled with Yin Ruxue’s attitude toward her afterward, she understood even more clearly that she was in the wrong.

But she was naturally stubborn. How could she bring herself to be the first to apologize to Jiang Fan?

She didn’t understand why the conciliatory words she had planned to say came out so venomously.

Watching Jiang Fan’s retreating figure, she suddenly felt the urge to cry.

Jiang Fan was in no mood to care about the turmoil Su Qingci was going through behind him.

The moment he stepped into the company, he sensed that the atmosphere was off.

The office felt particularly oppressive today. It wasn’t just the sales department; marketing, planning, and all the other departments felt the same way.

He looked up and saw Yin Ruxue standing on the company’s top floor, just staring coldly down below.

Raising an eyebrow, Jiang Fan waved to her. Yin Ruxue gave him a slight nod in return.

He could tell she was in a terrible mood.

Jiang Fan quickly found Sun Yanzi, and the two exchanged a look.

However, Sun Yanzi just gave him a slight shake of her head.

Filled with questions, Jiang Fan stepped into Li Muwan’s office.

"Manager Li, you were looking for me?"

Jiang Fan asked casually as he entered.

"Work starts at 9:00. Look at the time."

"Do you think your past successes mean you can just ignore company rules?"

"You’re fined 500."

Li Muwan said icily, without even looking up.

Jiang Fan’s eyes widened. ’Fucking hell, I just got here and I’m already being fined 500.’

"Do you have a problem with that?"

Li Muwan put down her pen and looked up at him calmly.

Jiang Fan could clearly tell that she was also in a foul mood.

’Arguing with her right now would be a terrible idea.’

"How could I dare have an opinion? Whatever the boss says, goes."

"If this is the only reason you called me in, then I understand. I’ll be on my way."

Jiang Fan said flatly.

"There’s a meeting in the conference room in fifteen minutes."

Li Muwan said after a soft snort.

"A meeting? What kind of meeting is it with just me? If you have something to say, just tell me. Don’t give me this high-and-mighty routine."

Feeling annoyed, Jiang Fan turned to head to his own office.

"It’s up to you if you come. I’m only saying it once."

Normally, Li Muwan would have definitely chewed him out for that, but today, all she offered were those two cold sentences.

Without looking back, Jiang Fan went to his office, sat down, and messed around on his phone for a while.

During that time, he sent a bunch of messages to Sun Yanzi, but she didn’t reply. Even Yin Ruxue was the same.

He found this extremely strange.

At 10:45, after some hesitation, Jiang Fan got up and headed to the conference room.

He was taken aback the moment he entered. It wasn’t just the sales department; all the mid- and high-level managers from several other departments were sitting there.

Li Muwan sat at the head of the table, silently watching everything.

Jiang Fan found a seat in a corner, as far on the edge as possible.

’Probably not a good idea to clash with her right now, huh?’

Even after everyone had arrived, Li Muwan still made no move to begin.

It seemed they were waiting for someone. Jiang Fan exchanged a look with Sun Yanzi and noticed her sigh softly.

But she gave no indication she was going to say anything.

As the seconds and minutes ticked by, the atmosphere in the conference room grew even more oppressive.

No one dared to be the first to speak, afraid of setting her off.

By now, a fine layer of sweat had beaded on many people’s foreheads.

It was a clear sign of just how much pressure Li Muwan was putting on them.

The next second, a stunning figure pushed open the door and entered.

Looking up, he saw that it was Yin Ruxue.

’Did she call this meeting?’

"It seems everyone’s here. But I want to ask you all: while you were sitting here for so long, did you not once stop to think about what this meeting could possibly be about?"

"Do you people not even know the meaning of the word ’reflection’?"

Yin Ruxue’s tone grew heavier with every sentence.

As she finished, she slammed a folder heavily onto the table.

The sudden action made everyone jump. This was the first time Jiang Fan had ever seen her so furious.

"I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t looked, but one look was all it took to be shocked. Deceiving your superiors, bullying your subordinates, extortion, taking kickbacks... you’ve all gotten quite slick at it, haven’t you!"

"You can spend 3.1 million on a single event, hiring some minor celebrity from who-knows-where for an appearance fee of 1.7 million! Can anyone tell me where all this money went?"

"Exactly how much of it ended up in your pockets?"

"Documents from the production factories somehow can’t even get into the company, let alone onto my desk."

"It’s absolutely appalling! Is no one going to offer me an explanation?"
