He didn’t think this was weird at all to consider so many problems, and he didn’t think he was overthinking the situation. In fact, he thought he was doing the right amount of thinking. After all, the target was a fallen Dao Lord.

After thinking about all of these problems, he snorted inwardly as he thought, ’Time Traveler’s help and information will surely be good. It is probably why Money Body came up with the plan to become the dragon king of Oceania to advance to rank 9.’

’But how good can his help and information be if he is not a Dao Lord yet? At least, I am not ready to give up the chance to get his Supreme Metac for the information just yet.’

’I have the Rewind Metac, so I should be able to have both of them. I will take the Time Loop Supreme Metac first. If I can’t have it or if it is too problematic to keep, I will then come for the information and his help."

If he could circumvent the oath made on his Dao Heart, he wouldn’t hesitate to swear now that he wouldn’t attack Time Traveler or help anyone attack him. But since he had to take the oath seriously and wanted to attack Time Traveler, he decided not to swear the oath.

After he made his situation, he activated the Rewind Metac. As soon as the River of Time appeared, he slipped into it. He didn’t waste time at all.

Since he didn’t have the confidence to defeat Time Traveler, he also didn’t have the confidence in being able to prevent Time Traveler from stopping him from reversing time. So he didn’t try fighting Time Traveler in order to avoid any risk.

Even after he activated the Rewind Metac and was about to enter the River of Time, his heart was still in his throat. But it seemed he had overthought things because Time Traveler wasn’t paying attention to him.

Time Traveler wasn’t looking at him anymore and was now looking at something in the sky. What he was looking at was the opening of a colorful river made up of strings of different colors. This river was expansive and filled the whole sky.

This was the River of Time. When Time Traveler saw it appear, his eyes widened in disbelief.

He said in disbelief, "Wait a minute. Why is it here? Where is the Rewind Metac?"

Other people might not be able to see the River of Time, but he definitely could see it. After all, he had once created a tool for riding the River of Time.

Plus, this was his Cave Heaven. So anyone attempting to use the River of Time in his Cave Heaven can’t escape his notice. But this only made him more confused because it meant that whoever was using the Rewind Metac was right here in his Cave Heaven.

So his eyes turned back to Loki, and he said, "Could it be that the Rewind Metac is with you?"

Loki’s heart tightened when he heard that question. He wanted to lie, but he thought better of it since this would only delay the detachment of his consciousness from his body.

So he didn’t answer the question. But Time Traveler didn’t mind that he was keeping his mum in the matter. Time Traveler couldn’t be angry because he was happy.

He was so happy that he laughed. As he laughed, he said, "It seems you don’t plan to promise not to attack me. That’s fine. I don’t mind it. You’re still a welcome guest."

"It truly is a good thing to have met you. You may not know it, but you’ve brought me a great gift."

As he spoke, he activated the Time Loop Supreme Metac. He didn’t use this to take back the Rewind Metac, though.

As the source of the Rewind Metac, he can take it or at least deactivate it, but he didn’t do this because he couldn’t use the Rewind Metac anymore. He can’t use the Rewind Metac anymore because of the thing called Entropy.

Entropy is created by nearly every action and is always increasing. Every being has a limit on how much entropy it can withstand before they break apart and dies. Right now, he has nearly reached the limit of his entropy, and won’t last long.

Time travel and messing with time are among the most dangerous things that increase entropy. As a Dao Lord of the pathway of time, it was very easy for him to reach his limit of Entropy.

Even now, his act of keeping himself alive in the River of Time by putting his Cave Heaven in a Cave Heaven is also increasing his entropy. The increase in entropy is minimal since he is only reversing the state of his Cave Heaven, but he will eventually reach his limit.

So, in his state, he can’t last long here under the river of death. At some point, he will have to go up, which might expose him to the prying eyes of the Dao Lords. But as bad as this possibility is, it is better than using the Rewind Metac.

If he uses the Rewind Metac, even if he were to reverse time by one day, the backlash of entropy would be too much for him to handle in his current state.

Before he can use the Rewind Metac again, he will need to find a way to discharge his accumulated entropy. For that, he needs a new body and a fresh start after reincarnation. This is why he sent out the Rewind Metac to help him reincarnate.

If he could use the Rewind Metac, he would have gone back to a moment in time before he died. He wouldn’t have obediently remained dead or tried to reincarnate instead.

As for why he didn’t reincarnate into the people in his Cave Heaven, it is because they are caught in a time loop. Plus, they aren’t real. So instead of helping to discharge his accumulated entropy, reincarnating in his Cave Heaven would only add to his burden.
