THE GOD EATER

Chapter 733: Potential Reward.

Because of the constraint of lifespan, the will of Oceania had less lifespan left to spare to keep the second dragon alive. This is the second major change that the death of the first dragon caused.

Just like before, Loki punched at a leisurely rate of 1,000 punches per second and inflicted damage worth 432 years of lifespan. So the dragon could only withstand 3,591 punches from him.

At a rate of 1,000 punches per second, it took him 3.591 seconds to meet the requirement to push the dragon to its limit and kill it.

This time, the impact of the death of the dragon was significant in the fight between the dragon king and Money Body. This was because the number of Divine Metacs available for use fell from 7 to 6 for the dragon king.

So the power of the dragon king fell from 201,564,160 units of divine power to 8(Cultivation Rank) × (8(Body) + 8(Mind) + 8(Soul) + 8(Will)) × (8 × 6)Divine Metacs × 1,406 million(Cave Heaven) × 10(Law Fragment), which is 172,769,280 units of divine power.

In comparison, Money Body’s power output is a whopping 174,673,920 units of divine power. So Money Body could now overwhelm the dragon king with raw power.

There was also the advantage of the special effect of the Market Conditions Metac. With the advantage of raw power and the Market Conditions Metac, the outcome of the fight between Money Body and the dragon king is now set.

Even though Money Body didn’t want to be happy that Loki had helped him, he was still glad that he didn’t need to continue as a punching bag anymore. His vigor was renewed, and he shouted a battle cry as he rushed at the dragon king.

He was willing to do a lot of things for power. But one thing he was willing to do was to thank Loki for helping him. In fact, he ignored Loki completely.

Fortunately for Loki, he wasn’t killing the dragons to help Money Body. He was doing all of these just for the reward of divine merit points.

If this outpost mission is successful, he will earn a base reward of 500 divine merit points. He will also earn more divine merit points for every enemy he kills.

The rate for the kill reward is 100 divine merit points for each rank 6 enemy and 1,000 divine merit points for each rank 7 enemy. So he has already earned 1,100 divine merit points for the rank 6 and rank 7 dragons that he just killed.

If he kills the remaining one rank 7 dragon and four rank 6 dragons, he will earn another 1,400 divine merit points. This will put the total amount of divine merit points that he is set to earn at 3,000.

They should have been able to earn a monthly income of 100 divine merit points for this mission. Since the mission was supposed to last a minimum of 300 days or 10 months, he could have earned an extra 1,000 divine merit points.

Unfortunately, they rushed the growth of the outpost core, so they won’t be able to earn the monthly income for this mission. However, he will be able to make up for the loss of monthly income with his contribution percentage.

He didn’t earn any contribution for breaching the crystal shield, but neither did anyone else. After all, they had waltzed into Oceania after they used the shield breaker to bypass the crystal shield.

Then he had earned over 95% contribution for the first and the second growth phases of the outpost core. If he kills all seven dragons, he will earn another 87.5% contribution.

So he is set to earn an average of 90% contribution for the three growth phases of the outpost core. If he does earn 90% contribution, his reward at the end of the mission will be raised from 3,000 divine merit points to 5,700 points.

This was why he didn’t care if Money Body thanked him or not. It is also why he didn’t try to save his mission mates earlier. He didn’t need them to be alive, especially when they would only reduce the amount of divine merit points that he could earn if they were alive.

Instead of bothering with things that would slow him down and reduce his share of divine merit points, he focused on catching up to the third dragon.

He thought that this one was going to be much easier to kill now that the will of Oceania only had 3,148,954 years of lifespan left to use. Especially since the dragon king is also in dire need of more lifespan.

Unfortunately, the will of Oceania wanted to protect this third dragon at all costs so that the dragon king wouldn’t weaken even further.

Loki thought that it was stupid for the will of Oceania to spend most of its lifetime keeping something so weak alive, but his opinion held no value to the will of Oceania. So he had to beat the dragon up for over two million years of lifespan. Then he moved on to the fourth dragon.

At this point, there was nothing else the will of Oceania could do. No matter how much it wanted to keep the dragons alive, it didn’t have enough lifespan to do so.

In fact, it didn’t have enough lifespan to keep the dragon king. And the dragon king needed all of the lifespan it could get now that its power had fallen again.

The power of the dragon king fell from 172,769,280 units of divine power to 8(Cultivation Rank) × (8(Body) + 8(Mind) + 8(Soul) + 8(Will)) × (8 × 5)Divine Metacs × 1,406 million(Cave Heaven) × 10(Law Fragment), which is 143,974,400 units of divine power. This is about 30 million units of divine power less than Money Body’s power output.
