Money Body’s voice was calm and collected as if he had everything under his control as he said, “Now, tell me what you are here for, and I might save you. Be quick with your answer because you’re running out of time.”

Loki wasn’t surprised that Money Body had come to this conclusion. After all, it was exactly as Money Body had claimed. The fact that he had joined an alliance and sacrificed his Cave Heaven to another person was simply the most reasonable explanation for why he possessed the strength he did.

Since it was the most reasonable explanation and since he didn’t plan to tell the truth, he decided to lean into this ruse and accept the lie as the truth.

So he sneered and said, “And why should I tell you anything? It is not as if I can trust you. You’ve proven beyond a reasonable doubt that you are not trustworthy. I guess lying and cheating run in your alliance.”

That last comment was about what he had experienced in the last life when he helped the money cultivators, only for them to turn on him and trap him.

Money Body didn’t know about that event since it never happened in this timeline, but he didn’t deny it. Instead, he said, “So be it. Be that way if you want to.”

Loki shot back in anger, “Don’t tell me how to be. I will be stubborn with or without your permission.”

He was truly angry with Money Body and had it in mind to say more words in anger to the money cultivator. But then he perceived a truly colossal object barreling toward him.

What he wanted to say got stuck in his mind, and he opened his eyes wide in shock as he said, “No way.”

Even the fist that he had cocked back in preparation for a punch had paused in the middle of the process because of his shock. Fortunately, he quickly recovered his wit.

He got over his shock, but instead of continuing to punch, he chose to leave the dragon and escape. He chose the option to escape as soon as possible over the option to continue to fight without hesitation.

In fact, he had lost his will to fight. This was because the fight had become too big for his liking.

As it turned out, the two dragons hadn’t been bluffing. The dragon king was really on its way to kill Loki.
