The reduction of his lifespan wasn’t because of his fight with the rank 6 sword cultivator. In fact, he had gone into that fight with the rank 6 sword cultivator with only 70 years of lifespan.

During his fight with the rank 6 sowed cultivator, he had earned 131 extra lifespan with the Siphon Ability. So he hadn’t lost any lifespan whatsoever because of the fight.

And after the fight, he had gained 3,340 years of lifespan from eating 30% of the total fragments of the shattered Cave Heaven. Plus the original 70 years that he possessed before the fight and the 131 that he gained during the fight, this put his total lifespan at 3,541 years.

As for what brought down his lifespan from 6,132 years to 70 years before the fight with the swordsman, it is all because of the rounds of inquiry that were made regarding the death of the mind hunter who used to possess the Psychic Flame Metac.

He had to endure four rounds of inquiry from a rank 7 cultivator who was investigating the death of the Mind hunter. He succeeded in blocking the investigation, but it cost him a whopping 10,000 years of his precious lifespan.

He only had 6,132 years of lifespan, so what he had wasn’t enough to block the inquiry. If not for the fact that he had a lot of living things in his Cave Heaven that he could eat to replenish, he would have died blocking that fourth inquiry or had to give up and expose himself.

Just thinking about how he was forced to spend 10,000 years of his lifespan made him angry. He snorted and said, “Just you wait. I hope I don’t find you, or you will be in a lot of trouble.”
