THE GOD EATER

Chapter 312: Another Manifestation.

Chapter 312: Another Manifestation.

The location of this manifestation was very far away from the city, where he had just met the death cultivator.

This made him click his tongue in annoyance and say, “That must be a fake manifestation, too.”

Then he looked around at the various manifestations in the sky and said, “I wonder how many of these are real and how many of them are traps to lure people and kill them.”

By this time, the army of skeletons had reached the gathering of the Myriad Phenomenon Sect. The two sides had begun to clash in a spectacular display of colorful energy.

A circular formation had appeared around the gathering. This formation was like a wall, and it was made of five different, colorful rings.

The colorful rings were balls in a ball bearing. They rotated in a clockwise motion along the circular wall of formation, and as they rotated, they ejected colorful energy that quickly turned elemental attacks.

A red circle ejected balls of fire that exploded upon contact with an obstacle, and the blue circle ejected crescent blades of water that cut everything in its path.

The brown circle created javelins of earth that impaled anything that they struck. Finally, the green circle created gusts of wind that blew and carried away obstacles in their way.

All of the circles ejected their attacks from the same place in the main array. This was because this was the point of contact with the army of the undead.

The circles were ejecting elemental attacks nonstop and were crushing the skeletons under the barrage of attacks. But the three leaders of the group were not happy with the current situation.

The female talisman master was levitating in the air as she looked at the towering skeleton that was lumbering towards them with an ace in tow. The skeleton was wearing large robes of darkness that gave it a regal bearing.

To top things off, the skeleton was also wearing a crown of black thorns around its head. This completed the look of a king that it had.

After she was done with her observation, she said to the other two, “That’s a rank 6 undead. We must leave.”

The rank 4 alchemist sighed and said, “It seems we have lost.”

The other rank 5, who was an array master, said, “I guess we’d better pack up before it gets here.”

Then it waved its hands to take away the formations and arrays that could be taken away. While he was busy with this, the other two began giving instructions to their subordinates to pack up and leave. Soon, they were fleeing on their flying carpets.

They are smart, so they know that even if their plan succeeded, the best they would be able to do is to create a rank 6 array. Such an array would be able to decimate this entire small world and kill nearly every living thing in it.

The only thing that would be able to stop such an array would be a rank 6 undead. A powerful undead like that would be able to withstand the torrent of elemental damage and destroy the formation.

The best that they would be able to do in that situation would be to preserve their lives. That’s how bad things would get for them despite having a rank 6 array on their side.

But they don’t have the rank 6 right now. What they have is a rank 5 array, and even this array is not complete yet. So their outcome with the rank 6 undead would be much worse in their current circumstances, which was why they chose to run immediately.

But the undead cultivator wasn’t willing to let them go right now. After all, if they escaped, they would be able to go and build their array somewhere else.

She didn’t want that at all, and he certainly didn’t want his work to go to waste. So she appeared to stop them.

Of course, she didn’t appear with her true body. Only a single crow appeared to stop them.

A single black crow stood in a tree in the direction that the group was fleeing. But as the rank 5 cultivator invested energy into his Life Ability, the crow began to shed feathers.

From the feathers grew more crows, and these crows also shed more feathers, which turned into more crows. Just like that, in mere moments, one crow had become a hundred, and the whole forest was full of crows.

The original crow cawed loudly before saying, “Death sends his greeting.”

This crow remained on the tree branch that it was standing on, but the other crows took to the sky and flew straight towards the people on the mats. Then they smashed into any living thing that they came across.

The power of a rank 5 being isn’t something that a rank 4 cultivator could contend with. So in mere moments, the people on the mats began falling to the ground like dead birds.

The sight of people falling from the sky dead made the crow cackle and say, “As easily as killing chickens.”

In just a few seconds, all but two of the people of the Myriad Phenomenon Sect were dead. Even the rank 4 alchemist with the Level 5 Dao Status was also killed.

The rank 4 alchemist didn’t even get to resist before he died. He died just as easily as the rest, so the death cultivator didn’t notice that he was slightly different and had a Level 5 Dao Status.

Only the two rank 5 cultivators could resist. The female one had a few golden talismans around her that formed a golden barrier.

The golden barrier formed a spherical shield around her that blocked every form of attack. When one golden barrier reached its limit and broke, it would be quickly replaced by another golden talisman.

This arrangement of talismans will ensure that until she runs out of talismans, of which she has more than 100, she won’t die.
