His voice was not loud, but it was cold as he said, “I hear that one can increase the capacity of their energy well by 60% that way.”

The attendant said, “First of all, the increase is 50%, not 60%. Secondly, that increase in talent is only temporary.”

“The enhancement from the sect will only increase the amount of energy and the energy recovery rate. It won’t actually increase the size of the energy well or improve the enhancement of the energy and the amplification of the Mind Palace.”

“This is because the enhancement is not a part of one’s existence. It is an external thing like Dao Status. It doesn’t increase talent at all.”

“However, it is still a good thing even though it doesn’t improve talent. Its most useful effect is to grant the cultivator an infinite supply of energy. That way, you won’t need energy stones to recover your energy.”

Loki was enlightened by this detailed explanation. The more he heard, the more his suspicion of being deceived disappeared, and the faster his anger melted away.

After the attendant was done speaking, he said, “I am surprised that you would actually explain so much for free.”

This made the attendant say, “That’s because you’re a special guest.”

But Loki didn’t puff up with pride when he heard this. Just like the previous timeline, his eye twitched, and he said, “So if I wasn’t a special guest, you wouldn’t tell me?”

The attendant chuckled as they said in reply, “Of course, we would tell you. But we would ask for money first.”

He didn’t mind that at all. He is willing to pay for information, and as long as they don’t cheat him, everything will be fine. At least, for now. When he becomes strong enough to get information without paying, then this current arrangement won’t be fine.

Since he was already here, he decided to ask for something else that would be useful to him. So he said, “I want to know where to find dragons. Are they really extinct?”

The attendant said, “Dragons are both extinct and not extinct. A clearer answer will involve exposing some of the powers of divine beings. I can’t tell you that because of the rule banning us from sharing information about divine beings. But if you help our boss advance to rank 6, you will be able to get this information.”

Loki had no plans to help someone advance to rank 6, especially if he could get the answers he wanted from their boss by using force. But he was curious, so he said to the attendant, “Who is this boss of yours anyway? What is their pathway and Life Ability?”

The androgynous voice said, “I can’t tell you the identity of my boss or what their Life Ability is. What I can tell you is that my boss is a Seer.”

When Loki heard this, he nodded in understanding and said, “I see. No wonder they know so much.”

Then he said to the attendant, “But if you don’t tell me their Life Ability, how can I help them find what they need to advance to rank 6?”

In response, the attendant said, “You will need to reach rank 5 before you can help my boss. So there is no use telling you more about them for now.”

Since they were determined not to tell him, he snorted and said, “Suit yourself.”

“Anyway, I still have more things I want to know about. I want to know about all of the Life Abilities of every pathway in all five sects.”

The voice on the other side of the booth came, saying, “We have a portion of that information. But we can’t tell you because information about Life Abilities is related to the divine posts of divine beings.”

Loki didn’t like this response at all. His face had morphed into a scowl as he said, “Divine beings this and divine beings that. Is there any information that is not banned by divine beings?”

In reply, the attendant chuckled and said, “There are many things that aren’t banned. You only seem to encounter the banned things more frequently now because your strength has reached a level closer to the banned information you want.”

He said, “Fine. What about the Forging Pathway? I heard it was stolen. I want to know if that is the truth and how the pathway was stolen.”

This time, the attendant laughed before saying, “I am flattered that you think so highly of us. We can’t share information about divine beings, yet you expect us to know how the pathway of Dao Lords was stolen? Even if we know, we surely can’t tell you.”

Loki wasn’t disappointed by this because he didn’t really expect them to know. He was just asking because he was curious.

Since they didn’t know, he said, “So it is certain that the pathway of forging was stolen. That’s something at least.”

The attendant said, “It would seem so. Records show that the Forging Pathway used to belong to the Myriad Phenomenon Sect before it moved to the Four Directions Sect.”

“But this change shouldn’t be attributed to theft. It could also be that the Dao Lord who created the pathway moved to the Four Directions Sect or sold the pathway to the Four Directions Sect.”

“Nothing is certain except for the fact that the Forging Pathway used to be in the Myriad Phenomenon Sect before it moved to the Four Directions Sect. There is just no proof that it was stolen.”

Loki nodded and said, “I see. That makes sense.”

Then he chuckled as he said, “Even if it doesn’t make sense, there is no way to know for sure. And that’s the point.”

The other person said, “Exactly.”

The next thing he did was to stand up from his seat and say, “Hopefully, the next thing I ask for won’t be banned.”

The attendant said, “The odds are against you.”

Loki scoffed, but he didn’t respond.
