Chapter 1334: Origin Of The Gemini Race.

The guardian, oblivious to his trickery, asked once more, "What is the cost of this talent?"

"Surely, such unnatural capabilities must come at a price," the guardian said. "I hope it isn’t something light or I would be too jealous."

Loki thought of something very quickly for his made up origin talent and said, "I produce extra Entropy than normal. The backlash of Entropy increases exponentially the more I amplify myself. I also produce extra Entropy when I forcefully activate Divine Metacs."

Hearing this, the guardian became interested and said, "So can you upgrade another Supreme Metac?"

"Maybe I can," white Loki said, shrugging. "I mean, it is possible. But I’m not sure since it took us a lot of effort to get this one."

"Yes, I tried many times, but it didn’t work. Then it suddenly clicked one day," black Loki said, buttressing the point.

After hearing their description, the guardian sighed and said, "That’s a great origin talent. In fact, I dare say it is right there among the best origin talents I’ve ever seen."

"Take me, for example. My origin talent is what I call Friend of Spears. Its only benefit is being very good with spears."

"I found it very easy to learn spears, and I’ve never dropped my spear ever since I picked it up. Even if I die, reincarnate somewhere, lose my cultivation, and lose my memories, I will always be good with spears."

"That kind of talent is absolute and not subject to change. The advantage is that it is easy to use and can come in handy because the spear is a common weapon throughout the universe."

Shaking their head, the guardian said, "I don’t even want much. The ability to use anything in my hand as a weapon would be a great talent. If I could couple that with being able to attack enemies with all of my limbs, that would be great."

"Unfortunately, I am stuck with what I have. Nothing can change it. But even if I get my wish and change my origin talent, it can’t compare with what you have."

"If I were allowed to have my way with you, I would turn you into my avatar like the previous owner of this body."

"I even have a good method to do so. I would just trick you into swearing an oath to do anything I want. Unfortunately, I couldn’t keep you for myself. I had to help the god king get another talented son."

"What a loss!" they said, sighing once more.

"I guess it is a good thing that my origin talent was weak. If it was strong, it is most likely the god king wouldn’t have let me go."

"Is that why the god king created the Gemini race?" black Loki asked.

White Loki said, worried, "Is he stealing origin talent for himself?"

The guardian laughed and shook their head as they said, "So ignorant. It is impossible to change one’s origin talent, and you can only have one."

"Your origin talent is tied to your identity to the universe. You can’t take someone else’s identity or change yours."

"So no, the god king isn’t creating Gemini to steal people’s origin talent."

White Loki was unconvinced and said, "Then why are you using other races and people to create Gemini? Why doesn’t the Gemini race reproduce like every other race? I don’t think transforming people into the Gemini race is a normal way of reproduction."

"That’s a bit complicated, actually," the guardian said, chuckling.

"The Gemini race is special in that every member of the race is a child of the god king. Every egg was created personally by the god king."

"The god king once tried to expand the race through natural talent. Unfortunately, the result was a subpar race of people with a sinful body and poor talent."

"The most talented ones were like the dragons. That is, they start losing their racial advantages at Rank 6. They are born as mortals and can’t be born as Dao Lords like the current Gemini Race."

They clicked their tongues as they said, "The problem was that the Gemini race the god king wanted was too talented. The level of talent and capabilities of the talent wasn’t something that could be supported naturally."

"The obvious solution was to reduce their expectations and settle for a less talented and more normal race. But we both know the god king didn’t take that option," they said, chuckling.

"From what I’ve heard, they continued forcing the creation of the overly talented race who were born as Dao Lords. Unfortunately, the process was expensive, and the universe refused to accept the product."

"The consequence of not being accepted by the universe was that they lacked souls, origin talent, and couldn’t enter reincarnation when they died. The Gemini were more like avatars of the god king than living beings because the god king had used too much of their power to create them."

"But instead of giving up on the plan, the god king decided to steal the identities of normal races and convert them to the Gemini race. That’s how the Gemini race became a race of conquest and raising breeding farms to produce offspring."
