Chapter 1252: Too Much Entropy.

Fortunately, he had passed half of the 10 billion years of lifespan he had stored within the spark of power to the Devouring Supreme Metac before sending it off, so it could withstand the energy drain.

The Devouring Supreme Metac reached this point in time after consuming over four billion years of lifespan. Then it entered the physical world and found this version of Loki.

When he tried to make sense of what had happened, he found himself struggling for words.

’So the guardian killed every version of myself in the past. How come this version is still alive? Why didn’t that attack kill this Loki?’ he asked, thinking in confusion.

’And that energy consumption is horrendous. 4 billion years of lifespan to go through five minutes beyond my awakening? Who made the rule?’

In the end, he could only click his tongue in amazement and say, ’Fortunately, I don’t produce Entropy when I use power, or I wouldn’t have been able to succeed in the end.’

In general, the total amount of Entropy received as backlash from an activity is equal to the amount of lifespan consumed during the action.

Therefore, if he had consumed 4 billion years of lifespan as a normal Dao Lord, he would have produced 4 billion units of Entropy. This would have killed him because his Entropy capacity wasn’t up to 4 billion.

Even when he was at full strength with the spark of power, his Entropy capacity had been Rank(10) × Total Divinity (975 + 37) × Total Supreme Metac Volume (9^3 × 25^3) × 20(Authority), which is 3,310,049,600 units.

The 975 divinity from the spark of power and the 25^3 volume of the 4-D prototype were usually hidden from view. The same was true of his total lifespan.

’One attack and he killed me. If I hadn’t separated Fenrir and sent it to River of Time before that spear struck me, I would be dead for good,’ he thought with a heavy heart.

’It was truly a narrow escape. I don’t like it at all. I should avoid the guardian from now on.’

A normal Dao Lord like Time Traveler would have definitely failed to escape with the Rewind Metac and would have died. In fact, Time Traveler had nearly died to Black Chain, so there was no way Time Traveler would have escaped the guardian.

The fact that he was able to escape from something that would have killed nearly every Dao Lord in existence should have made him proud. But he only felt fear because of how narrow his escape had been.

However, he didn’t want to dwell too much on that event. Instead, he stopped holding back and allowed the Devouring Supreme Metac to change his body.

When Fenrir from the future arrived in this body, it found a version of itself in Loki’s body. This version was broken and incomplete, which Loki already knew about. But this version was also peculiar: it contained the Divine Spirit of another being.

The Divine Spirit was weak, so it couldn’t withstand the invasion of Fenrir from the future. Fenrir devoured it, and the two versions began to fuse.

After the fusion, the spark of power also arrived from the future. Now Fenrir was opening his Energy Well and transforming into a Cave Heaven. The spark of power brought with it the Divine Spark and was now using it to rebuild the Divine Mountain.

So an Energy Well appeared within Loki. Before it could fill up with life energy, it fused with the golden Divine Spark and turned into a large space within him.

A tattoo appeared on the golden Divine Spark. By consuming lifespan, the tattoo extended into golden roots. The golden roots grew long enough to wrap around Fenrir and began using the Supreme Metac’s ability to anchor a Domain to create a Divine Mountain within Loki.

All these changes consumed a lot of lifespan, though. For now, he had enough lifespan to fuel the changes. But if he ran out of lifespan, he would need to find a new source.

While this was happening, Loki had fainted and fallen to the ground. Muni saw this and was incensed. The Rank 3 cultivator bared his sharp shark teeth as he marched over to Loki.
