THE GOD EATER

Chapter 1160: Surrender With Grace.

As they tussled with each other, a bigger blue ball of water appeared and surrounded the black ball of devouring power. Then blue lightning bolts fell from the sky into the ball of water, enhancing its destructiveness.

In every way the Dao Lords looked at it, Loki was being suppressed. The best he could do was grind away at the ball of water surrounding him. It was exactly what had happened when Loki sealed their avatars. The best they could do was resist, but it was a futile resistance.

"Surrender with grace," the Will said to him. "You are no match for me. Be a proper Dao Lord and accept it."

"Come on," Loki said with a teasing smile. " This fight has only just begun. A lot can still happen."

"What can happen?" the Will asked with genuine confusion. "You are lacking in power, and you can’t escape. I have sealed the whole world, so you’re doomed to die here."

"I would advise you to see reason and surrender. At least, that way you get the chance to ransom your avatar."

But Loki only smiled and said, "A ransom, you say. I am looking forward to it."

Since he was resisting foolishly, the Will made water spears pierce the black ball to strike his body. In just a second, his body was turned into Swiss cheese.

There were now large gaping holes all over his body. As the wounds tried to heal, the water that created them solidified into ice, preventing the wounds from healing and trying to seal him from within.

He managed to solve the problem by cutting away his flesh and devouring it. That way, the ice lost its hold on him, and the wound could heal.

But this was only temporary. The shield of water around him was more than capable of blocking his attacks while attacking him. So the fight was more of an endeavor in struggling at the edge of death.

The avatar was still alive so far, but it was gaining more and more injuries, which were costing him lifespan and Entropy. However, he was getting back the lifespan from devouring the attacks and the environment, and he was transferring the Entropy gained from the attacks up to the true body in the upper realm.

In fact, he was gaining more lifespan than he was losing, and since all of the lifespan was coming from the world, the world had to bear the cost of the extraction of lifespan, including the Entropy created in the process.

As it turned out, he also had a spark of power that was capable of amplifying the amount of Entropy that he produced with his attacks.

Thanks to the Supreme Metacs he bought from the Dao Lords in the previous timeline, 21 cubes had been reinforced, solidified, and activated. He can’t enjoy the divinity from the spark because of the limit on stats in the lower realm, but he can enjoy the Divine Ability of the 4-D prototype.

Right now, he could increase the amount of Entropy that the world had to endure from his devouring by 21 times, making it appear that he was attacking with 22 times the power.

In the short run, the burden of Entropy didn’t have much of an influence on the fight. After all, one of them was a Dao Lord with a lot of divinity expanding their capacity for Entropy, while the other one was a super world.

However, no matter how big a super world was, it couldn’t match a Dao Lord with a total divinity equivalent to a five-star celestial whose five stars are all Cosmic Daos.

The only advantage that the super world had was that it could offload some of its Entropy into the River of Death nearby. Unfortunately, the rate of the offload of Entropy was 10 units per second, which was a far cry from the thousands of Entropy that Loki was dumping into the world per second.

After 3 seconds of fighting, the Will of the World said to Tepid Scholar, "Didn’t you say his true body was a one-star celestial with at most 42 divinity and at most 306,180 capacity for Entropy?"

"Didn’t you say that I would be able to wear him down or kill him in less than one second? Why is he still going after 3 seconds?"

In response, Tepid Scholar was silent for a long time, struggling to find an answer to the question. He too wanted to know why Loki’s avatar was being difficult to kill, as he didn’t know the answer.

To a mortal or divine being, he didn’t spend that much time thinking. It was just a few microseconds of thinking, but this was far too long for the Will of the World.

It urged him again, saying, "This is not what we agreed on. I can’t hold on much longer."

Tepid Scholar could only say with a pained heart, "Fine. You did your part, so you’ll get the divine crystal."

After speaking, he tore open a rift in the barrier between the lower and upper realm. Then he threw down the divine crystals through the rift.

The turn of events had definitely put him in a bad mood. Whether it was the fact that he was wrong about Loki’s durability or the fact that he bet on his estimate and lost.

So he was truly angry as he said to the other Dao Lords, "I’m finding that I hate this Ragnarok. There is just something about him that grates on me."

"Don’t worry. It isn’t over yet," Heavenly Eye said in encouragement. "We still have many methods to use against him."

While they were plotting their next plans, the Will of the world was now in an awkward position. It didn’t want to fight anymore, but Loki didn’t want to stop fighting.

The Will said, "Ok, I was wrong. Let’s stop fighting."

But Loki smiled and said, "But I am not done fighting. I can still take more. Go on and continue to beat me."
