Chapter 366: Suppression

Theressa stood in front of Timothy with a confident expression. Even though she had an elemental disadvantage against Timothy, she didn’t intend to lose.

Timothy maintained his calm expression.

"This will be the end of your path, Timothy. Even if you have an elemental advantage over me, I won’t be so easily defeated."

Timothy pointed at her and looked up as if he were recalling something. "Ah. When I was drinking with Antonio, I remembered him mentioning a crazy woman from Granda. The one who always considered herself to be the sun or something as if she were the queen of the world. I mean, even when I’m drunk, I’m not that delusional."

Theressa’s eyebrows twitched. "Don’t expect me to hold back after I defeat you."

Timothy didn’t show any expression. He didn’t have any excitement on his face, as though he wasn’t expecting much from her.

"Start!"

As soon as the match began, both of them summoned their respective avatars.

Timothy’s avatar looked like a slime. Despite being so cute, it possessed an absolute element.

On the other hand, Theressa’s avatar was truly the personification of the sun.

As soon as the energy from the sun avatar flowed into her, a halo appeared on her back. The halo had a flaming pattern on its outer layer, making the halo look like the sun. Then, her arms and feet were covered in flames.

Meanwhile, Timothy’s transformation didn’t change anything. The slime merely disappeared, but the transformation itself was successful.

Only a few noticed what was going on.

Katarina couldn’t help but narrow her eyes. "Is that... the full-body transformation?"

"Full body transformation?" Auric tilted his head in confusion.

"Yes. As the name implies, the full-body transformation refers to a transformation that doesn’t show any change in your appearance. That’s because the avatar transforms your body completely.

"It will become even more terrifying once it reaches the fusion state that can only be achieved after reaching Rank 6.

"I still remember watching a video of a guy with a plant element that has a full-body transformation. Back then, he could actually merge with the plant, making himself invincible.

"For this guy, his entire body has become water. If you attack him, he will regenerate as easily as water regenerates with his water element."

"So, he’s invincible?" Auric frowned.

"Not necessarily. There are a few ways to defeat him. The first one is to exhaust him, the second one is to destroy the core of that transformation, or the third one is to simply erase him completely."

"You can’t even cut his head or anything?" Auric asked.

"Nope. This is an extremely rare transformation condition. And if we also include the fact that he has an absolute element... this guy is more terrifying than I originally thought." Katarina frowned.

"Hmm..." Auric narrowed his eyes. He saw several spots where his energy was concentrated.

"From the looks of it, he has three spots, one in the middle of his chest, one on the right side of his stomach, and the other one is in his brain." Auric crossed his arms. "Can you actually move those spots?"

Katarina nodded. "Yes. You can move them or even add more. However, adding more cores will make the transformation easier to break. If you move them around, the energy will be quite easier to sense. Usually, they will add more and move them around to confuse their opponent before making the rest disappear."

"I see." Auric thought for a moment. "Let’s say... Timothy is winning. How badly do you want to win?"

Katarina was confused at first, but she felt like Auric had a rather vicious plan with that smirk.

Theressa immediately leaped into the sky and spread her arms. "Sun!"

drastically increasing massive sphere emerged. The fire from the sphere flared up, increasing the temperature of the arena.

"I’m going to evaporate you."

"..." Timothy just looked at her as if she were stupid. He lifted both arms as water started to surge from the gap in the arena tiles. The water continued to flow up and swallow the sun that Theressa made.

Despite the intense heat from Theressa’s ability, the water didn’t seem to heat up. Instead, it maintained its original temperature and gradually dissolved the sun.

"What?!" Theressa was dumbfounded. Her sun was supposed to be the one evaporating his water. Even if Timothy had an elemental advantage, her element was still supposed to work.

Yet, for some reason, Timothy’s element completely suppressed her.

"I am not talking trash to you, Miss. The problem is how you are supposed to talk trash when you’re talking about facts. The only thing I can say is, "The truth hurts."" Timothy snapped his fingers, completely swallowing the sun and dissolving it.

Auric couldn’t help but realize the difference. "This is..."

"What’s wrong?" Katarina was confused about Timothy’s element as well, but she was still observing him to figure out what it was.

Auric, on the other hand, saw how the energy behaved. The energy particles from the water element actually pushed everything away from the fire element. It looked like the water element was actually reflecting everything completely.

"Nothing can go through... No, I’m not supposed to say that. Something can go through, but his energy is so dense on the outer layer that without significant forces, nothing will go through."

Katarina looked troubled. "I see. The intense heat from the sun element is burning everything away, but that doesn’t penetrate the water element. Instead, it’s chipping its energy away. That’s why it’s completely ineffective."

"Yes. This must be the characteristic of his pure water element." Auric nodded.

"Khhh!" Theressa gritted her teeth and waved her hand. Many fireballs flew toward Timothy.

A water wall appeared, catching the fireballs like jelly. The fireballs looked like they were about to break through, but the intense heat disappeared before it could penetrate the water wall.

Theressa gritted her teeth. Her confidence was disappearing quickly. She really couldn’t understand what was going on. Her element still had a rating of 4.9, but it was somehow completely ineffective against Timothy’s pure water element.

Even the others looked impressed. "So, this is the pure water element."

"An absolute element’s supremacy. In front of absolute elements, nothing matters."

Theressa was trying to figure out what was going on, but Timothy simply raised his hand, forming a massive wave toward her.

Theressa was moving toward the wall, trying to figure out how to avoid this wave that was intended to sweep the entire arena. Even if she jumped to the side, she wouldn’t be able to block it.

"Haaaaa!" Theressa unleashed all her energy, trying to overwhelm this wave one last time.

"See? You don’t even think about what is going on. You are too proud of yourself." Timothy shook his head in exasperation.

Auric understood the sentiment. If Theressa knew the characteristics of the pure water element, she would have been able to put up a good fight. No, she might have a chance to win as well.

Unfortunately, she knew nothing about him and didn’t intend to find out. Even after seeing how the first sun was dissolved by Timothy’s water element, she used something similar for the last time.

In the end, the attack was rendered ineffective, and the wave swallowed her body.

Theressa held her breath and tried to get out, but it was impossible. The water skillfully followed her movements. When she released her energy, the water element would suppress it.

"Containment complete," Timothy muttered.

Seeing how Theressa was gradually losing her breath, the instructor rushed toward her and released his energy, pulling her out of the water. "That’s the end of the match. Winner, Timothy Wellington from the UK."

Everyone widened their eyes. They thought they would be watching an intense match, but it ended up becoming a one-sided match.

"Kh..." Theressa gritted her teeth while glaring at Timothy. She had never been humiliated like this before.

Timothy simply closed his eyes for a few seconds before raising his hand. "Referee. May we continue the final right away? I don’t exactly need time to recuperate. Besides, I don’t think Alexander is in any shape to fight for third place. So, I think we can move on to the final right away."

"..." The instructors frowned. Normally, they needed to hold a match between Theressa and Alexander first, allowing Katarina and Timothy to recover as much energy as possible.

However, Alexander was still unconscious. So, Theressa would win by default.

That meant the final could immediately proceed. Normally, it would take a few minutes to process everything, but since Timothy was suggesting moving on to the final directly, the referee couldn’t help but raise his head.

Head Instructor Vanessa announced, "Since that’s the case, we will accommodate his request, provided Esfrata also accepts it."

"Katarina?" Supervisor Jacob stood up.

Katarina jumped off the wall and landed in the arena. "Of course. There’s no need to waste so much time, so we might as well do it immediately."

"In that case, please take your positions." The referee raised his hand, signaling for them to get ready.

Theressa, despite her confidence earlier, was suddenly forgotten by everyone.

Auric, of course, had copied both of their elements. In the end, the sun element was extremely powerful, not to mention the fact that he had a weather element. If he could combine the two, it might become quite a disaster.

Timothy looked at Katarina’s confident expression, but unlike Theressa’s, Katarina looked calmer as though she had understood his power.

Timothy said, "I’m sorry, but I have to win here, considering Miss Clarice has failed to fulfill her duty. I prefer to embrace a woman rather than harm her, but given the circumstances, I have no other choice."

Katarina chuckled. "You don’t have to worry about me. I have a rather good friend who worries about me so much."
