The Game of Global Mining

Chapter 1086: Chapter 886: Elemental Realm Encampment_2
Chun wasn’t sure if she had the authority for that either: "Or, how about we make today Victory Day? Once a month!"
No way a game would do once a year; even once a month feels too long.
The Mermaid laughed: "Alright, I’ll try it when I get back to the city."
Finally, when Chun flew near the prearranged location, someone responded.
[Shareholder Medesia]: Chairman!! We’re over here!
This feeling of having intel all lined up—why does it feel so damn reassuring?
As Chun closed in, he hurried to bring things up, but if he said it outright, that’d be the same as exposing his secrets in front of the Ten Lords, and it’d also make it look like he’d coldly ditched the vice-chairman. He needed a different approach.
[Chairman Vonima]: I’m injured, I need five of you to ride on my back and cover me while I force my way out!
He deliberately said five, so it sounded natural.
[Shareholder Julia]: Huh, which five? Aimee’s infiltrated Gem City, she’s not here.
Huh?
[Shareholder Kasha]: Missing one doesn’t matter, the four of us are enough.
[Shareholder Medesia]: It’s been so long since I rode on the chairman’s back, I really want it~~
Uh... it’s been a thousand years since you rode, huh?
[Chairman Vonima]: "What’s this about Aimee infiltrating?"
[Vice-chairman Uriel]: She entered the city to contact a hidden Demon Race organization, to see if there’s a way to get us settled inside the city.
Holy Shit!? Isn’t the infiltrated organization in Gem City just that one Enchanting Demon Andariel? Aimee’s also an Enchanting Demon, are they from the same family?
Chun felt it was better to keep some distance from Aimee until he figured this out anyway, so he might as well issue an order.
[Chairman Vonima]: Vice-chairman, you stay and receive Aimee. The four of you cover me while I break out!
Honestly, even leaving just Aimee behind made Chun uneasy. She’s an Enchanting Demon, the easiest type to get the FBI called on you...
[Vice-chairman Uriel]: Chairman, you’re definitely going to force a breakthrough? You won’t wait for Aimee’s arrangements?
[Chairman Vonima]: I’ve already defeated the Gem Guardian God, and now I’ve defeated the Shadow Stream Guardian Demon God, so let’s not trouble others to arrange things for us.
[Shareholder Medesia]: Don’t worry, Chairman, even if we have to live in the wild, I’m willing!
[Shareholder Olka]: Being out in the wild with the chairman is a rare outing after all!
An outing... kind of romantic, actually.
As they chatted, Chun saw the team, and the team broke into cheers!
Chun landed, and the beauties scrambled to climb on his back. They immediately started casting all sorts of buffs; Medusa even raised a ring of small earthen walls on his back to form seats.
Only now did Chun realize that, up close, they were even sexier and prettier than before!
Uriel gave a passionate speech: "Our mighty chairman who defeated two Guardian Gods has returned! Chairman, although the thousands who set out are now down to just over a hundred, everyone who stayed is elite. I request that they all be added to the guild!"
Chun figured he should say a few words: "Alright, Vice-chairman, handle it as you see fit! Everyone, I’m about to embark on a new journey, I’m taking off!"
With that, he flapped his wings... Holy Shit, with these four added on he couldn’t get airborne? Guess he’d have to do a swan-style running takeoff...
Once in the air, the four were surprisingly serious and solemn, none of the chatter he’d imagined. Instead, the guild channel was flooded with notifications of new members being added.
Maybe this was the maturity brought by a thousand years of evolution?
Soon, Chun followed the green-dot route to a patch of space with a faint ripple.
Olka, on his back, let out a small gasp of surprise. Don’t be surprised, don’t ask!
Chun directly activated the body skill "Shuttle Elemental Ion Layer"!
The scene shifted, and the five of them appeared in a sea of clouds crackling with lightning, with mountains piercing through the clouds.
Mountains?
Chun looked up and saw the image of Gem City in the sky. The summit of each peak abruptly opened into a Magic Tower vortex. It was just like the vortex beneath the Magic Towers in Shadow Stream City he’d just seen, but Shadow Stream City couldn’t compare at all. Clearly, Gem City’s Magic Towers had been drawing from the Elemental Realm over the long term, sucking up the earth until they’d raised mountain after mountain. With such massive mountains as a base, his tactic of backstabbing the Magic Towers from the Elemental Realm in Shadow Stream City had a good chance of failing.
Chun couldn’t help but exclaim: "I never would’ve thought that a hundred-year-old city like Gem City would have deeper Magic foundations than a thousand-year-old city like Shadow Stream City."
Olka said, "It also has a lot of Magic Power Gemstone mines, that’s another reason."
Medesia asked, "Chairman, do we have a specific escape destination?"
Chun really was stumped: "I’m not familiar with the surface world, so I’m not really sure."
That was the honest truth. Although his Erudite Scholar profession had mapped a lot of areas outside Gem City, they were either Pioneer Villages belonging to high nobles or desolate snow-covered wastelands. The only place that came to mind was his Plague Island, but plague... even if these few could be fully immune, it still felt filthy.
Medesia laughed and said, "I think the energy here is abundant and the scenery’s beautiful. Why don’t we just find a place here to set up a base?"
Chun really had never considered it: "We can live here?"
"There are mountains here, they’re solid! Maybe we just need to find a cave or something?"
Olka added, "And we can slip into the city above whenever we need to get something done. It’ll also be convenient for Aimee to contact us."
Chun said in surprise, "How is it convenient with Aimee—uh, I mean for her to contact us?"
Olka laughed: "She’s an Enchanting Demon. Enchanting Demons can be summoned. If she gives me her summoning Technique, I can summon her anytime."
Whoa! That convenient?
Chun made up his mind: "Alright, then let’s find a spot around here that’s suitable for setting up camp."
As he looked around, he suddenly saw a patch of rainbow light in the clouds ahead!
Ah, this must be the Rainbow Divine Power the Mermaid mentioned. The kind of place where it appears is probably equivalent to some God-blessed land or something, shouldn’t be dangerous.
