Chapter 1527: Chapter 967: Total War (Part 2)
Magrum hurriedly used the hammer handle to block, but was still forced backward, plowing two deep furrows on the surface of the lava lake, with noticeable cracks appearing on the black flame armor.
Carlos slammed his fists onto the ground.
"Wrath of the Earth!"
Centered around him, terrifying earth-toned shockwaves radiated outward in rings, causing the ground to undulate and tear like giant waves.
Countless sharp, spear-like giant stalagmites suddenly pierced out from the cracked earth, screeching through the air, densely stabbing at Magrum’s lower body and torso.
Magrum roared, swinging his heavy hammer, sweeping away with a black flame shockwave, blasting a large number of stalagmites to dust. But still, several fiercely struck his scale armor, emitting the sound of clashing metals, leaving dents.
Carlos clasped his hands in the air, and the shattered giant rocks and lava around him were instantly condensed by divine power, transforming into several house-sized "Star Fall" stones, burning with earth-toned divine flames.
With a terrifying whistling sound, they slammed towards Magrum like catapult shots.
Magrum, laughing wildly, swung his heavy hammer, each swing accurately hitting the oncoming giant rocks, blasting them apart in the air, scattering debris like cannonballs, creating countless deep craters on the more distant ground.
The battle was fiercely intense, with each clash like the destruction of small stars, the roar of the impacts continuously resounding, spreading across the entire plane.
The sea of lava boiled, the earth wailed and shattered, and the cloudy blood clouds in the sky were repeatedly dispelled and regrouped by the shockwaves.
However, as it was said, both were powerful close-combat gods, with incredibly resilient divine bodies, protected by rules. Though they appeared scarred, these were merely superficial wounds that divine power could quickly heal.
This earth-shaking battle, in essence, was the ultimate clash of power and defense, a consuming struggle on the rule level. In a short time, neither could defeat the other, entering a frenzied and stalemated tug-of-war.
The gods battled in the sky, while the Demon Lords on the ground couldn’t hold back any longer, starting to show their true destructive might.
"Groller is here! Those who block me shall die!"
The High-Level Mad War Demon Lord Groller moved like a mobile volcano; he abandoned his entanglement with Raelia.
Once the Sky Dragon took over, the pressure on him sharply increased, so he charged towards the densest formation of the Order Alliance Army.
He swung his burning dual blades giant axe [Furnace Roar], every sweep engulfing the area in a flame storm tens of meters long. The Dwarf Shield Guards alongside their Rune Tower Shields were vaporized in an instant, and the Elf Shooters were reduced to blood mist by the aftermath!
Laughing wildly, he stomped the ground with his massive feet, causing small-scale ground ruptures and lava eruptions, creating terrifying chaos.
"Rock above! Stop that lava monster!"
The commander of Blood War Fortress roared.
Responding to him was a figure much smaller than Groller yet exuding the same thick, frenzied aura.
"Leave it to me, Rock Breaker!"
A Hill Giant Rock Breaker named Grom, standing nearly four meters tall, muscles convoluted like granite carvings, beard braided into thick strands entwined with Mithril chain, stepped out in large strides.
He wielded no fancy weapon, only a pair of rune-ornate heavy gauntlets the size of door panels.
He roared, crashing his fists together with a deafening boom, instantly covered by a layer of solid earth-toned rock armor.
He charged fearlessly towards Groller’s flame storm.
"Boom!"
The axe blade of Furnace Roar struck hard against Grom’s cross-blocked gauntlets, Hellfire and Rock Divine Light fiercely clashed and exploded.
Grom’s feet sank deeply into the ground, carving out two deep furrows, yet he bore it.
He roared, his massive rock fist wielding terrifying power, carrying the momentum of smashing mountains, slammed fiercely onto Groller’s knee.
The two power-type giants immediately engaged in the most brutal, direct power struggle on the battlefield, each clash causing the earth to shake, clearing all ordinary soldiers and demons from the area.
On another side, the Enchanting Demon Lord Qinla’s figure moved like a phantom through the shadows of the battlefield.
She didn’t directly participate in large-scale slaughter but set her sights on the command nodes of the Night Watchers and Blood War Fortress.
She sent out silent psychic cries, attempting to disrupt the commanders’ spirits.
Creating lifelike illusions, luring units into traps; even attempting to charm solitary strong individuals.
"Serpent in the shadows, your tricks end here."
A voice as cold as moonlight echoed.
A master Moon Elf ranger, Eirarel Star Whisperer, draped in mithril chain armor of star and moon patterns, and holding a longbow radiating pure moonlight, blocked Quinla’s path.
Her eyes shimmered with silver brilliance that saw through illusions. The longbow required no full draw; with a flick of her fingers, arrows known as [Moon God Arrow], condensed from moonlight and piercing the essence of the soul without regard for illusions, shot precisely at Quinla’s true form.
Quinla let out an enraged scream, her bat wings flapped frantically, narrowly evading the deadly arrows in an instant, forcing her into a high-speed chase and counter battle with Eirarel. Her treacherous domain was effectively contained.
The Abyss Giant Beast Lord Gladdon charged like a runaway war chariot, unleashing low roars like muffled thunder, disregarding any formations or obstructions, and rushed fiercely towards the newly stabilized connection between Blood Pit Fortress and Blood War Fortress alliance.
Its bloated, massive body was the most terrifying weapon, its thick chitin armor withstanding the bombardment of alchemy cannonballs and magic missiles, its sturdy limbs ending in sharp bone blades sweeping away batches of soldiers with each swing.
Its gaping mouth spewed corrosive mucous torrents, dissolving even metal barriers with sizzling sounds.
"For the fortress! Don’t let it pass!"
The soldiers guarding the passage cried out in desperation.
"Moo—!!! This path is closed!"
A resonant bovine roar responded to them.
A heavy assault unit, led by the elite Minotaur war chieftain "Split Hoof" Kaga, counter-charged.
Kaga himself stood over five meters tall, clad in rune heavy armor, wielding a gigantic [Thunder Rebound Totem Pole] larger than his body.
The Minotaur warriors behind him were equally armed to the teeth, forming a dense wedge-shape charge formation.
They surged like a steel flood, with an aura of demolishing everything, fiercely colliding with Gladdon!
Crash!!!
The ultimate collision of flesh, metal, chitin, and power.
Kaga’s totem pole, carrying the power of thunderbolts, struck hard on the front carapace of Gladdon, bursting into dazzling electric light.
Gladdon’s giant body was forcibly halted, its charging momentum abruptly stopped, with cracks appearing on its carapace.
But its frenzy amplified, sweeping its bone blade limbs, ripping apart several Minotaur warriors with their armor.
Kaga roared, his totem pole once again swung, clashing fiercely with Gladdon’s bone blades, sparks flying.
The Minotaur warriors drowned in blood courageously pummeled the giant beast’s joints and relatively thinner abdomen, using their flesh to block the acid spray.
A fiercely brutal grinder battle erupted at the passage entrance.
The Slaughter Demon Lord Balzac still stood atop the Demon Fortress, four eyes burning with fiery magma casting cold gaze over the entire scene.
He did not rush into action, patient like a venomous serpent.
His gaze flitted across Carlos’ and Magrum’s earth-shaking battlefield, towards the direction where Kana and the Fallen Abyss Messenger vanished, towards the Blood Pit Fortress itself, and onto the Blood War Fortress elites resisting his subordinate lords.
He was evaluating, waiting—waiting for the opportune moment to severely strike or even obliterate the "Savior" Kana or his foundational fortress.
Such a moment might take many years.
But Kana was eager, because his world was targeted by the void.
So there’s no hurry.
This time, it served merely as an understanding.
After all, he was not summoned alongside the Blood God to Kana’s world, so he didn’t comprehend the Night Watcher’s strengths.
Amidst the chaotic battlefield, his silhouette alone emanated a cold and deadly killing intent.
The battlefield seethed entirely, with every corner enveloped in the raw collision of blood and power.
The godly thunder was the backdrop; the demons’ rampage combined with Blood War Fortress elites’ counterattacks formed the main melody of the flesh grinder.
The front line between order and chaos, amidst the burning of countless lives, advanced arduously yet determinedly forward.
