Chapter 1379: Chapter 904: City of the Gods (2)
"Hahaha! I have to admit, Talia, you have chosen a great place! This garden on the cliff and the vitality in the river valley are simply refreshing to the soul.
"This mastery and shaping of Nature truly deserve the title of genius from the temple of Life."
Apparently, this city is constructed with a combination of Nature, Divine Power, and wisdom.
Kana’s gaze lingered on the countless bonsai on the cliff and the abundance of the river valley, nodding in sincere agreement.
"Yes, Princess Talia. The scenery here is innate, yet everywhere contains a meticulously crafted divine intention.
"The breath of Life is so grand and harmonious, every detail pulsates like Nature itself, vibrant and intoxicating. This is indeed one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen."
However, after appreciating it, Chronos instinctively shifted the topic back to his aesthetic filled with power.
"But," he smacked his lips and looked around at the lush greenery, "it’s pretty, just too ’green’ and soft, lacking in any sense of grandeur or power. If you ask me, you should visit my ’Earth-shaking Peak’! That’s what I call spectacular!"
This immediately elicited an unrestrained eye roll from Talia.
She huffed in dissatisfaction, retorting without reservation, "Oh please, dear brother. Other than you and your muscle-brained followers, who would genuinely like that crude palace built atop a barren rocky peak, resonating all day with wild roars?
"What else is there except for scantily clad, sweaty men slamming each other around? Bringing friends over, are you planning to let them watch a brawl?"
The expression on his face suggested he might truly think this way, given that his boat even has a dedicated arena where battles occur ceaselessly.
Even being called out by his sister, Chronos not only wasn’t annoyed but proudly straightened his chest, seemingly considering it a supreme honor.
"Hey! That’s the purest manifestation of power, the dwelling place of the warrior’s soul, each rock infused with the will to battle."
He emphasized while swinging his fist as big as a casserole.
Talia crossed her arms defiantly, "But with guests like Lord Kana and Lord Luminar, clearly, my ’Bonsai Terrace,’ still under construction, is a more suitable place for a stopover than your ’Training Camp for Brutes,’ where, at least, it doesn’t make people feel uncomfortable."
She purposely emphasized the last few words.
Chronos looked at his sister’s serious expression, then glanced at the smiling Luminar and the nodding Kana, reluctantly spreading his hands.
"Alright, alright, you’re right. This place... really is better suited for hosting guests."
He admitted this fact with resignation.
The atmosphere of chit-chat lightened for a moment.
Chronos then became serious and said to Talia, "Alright, little sister. Brother Kana has come from afar, bearing the mission to save his world which is shrouded in the shadow of the Void.
"The most important goal of his journey is to hope to meet the great Father God and seek guidance and assistance."
Talia elegantly rolled her eyes again, almost habitually.
"Of course I know," her voice carried a tone of ’do you think I’m a fool.’
"A new god of Order carrying the title of ’Savior’ comes from a world threatened by Void, besides meeting Father God, what else could it be for?
"Moreover, Father God will surely be willing to see him. But," she changed the tone, a trace of helpless smile appearing, "the timing is rather unfortunate. Father God just... took a little nap."
"Took a nap?"
Kana’s heart skipped a beat; even though he had ascended to divinity, he couldn’t help but feel somewhat ’sweaty.’
An illustrious Divine King holding influential powers like "Hope," "Strength," "Order," "Creation," who serves as a keystone for the Titan Pantheon.
A "little nap" as mentioned by Him – that’s as long as many mortal lifetimes, perhaps even an era of civilization rising and falling?
Is it so untimely?
As if seeing through Kana’s internal upheaval, Chronos’ fan-like hand landed heavily on Kana’s shoulder, creating a muffled sound accompanied by a reassuring sense of power.
"Haha! Don’t worry, brother Kana!"
His hearty laughter dispelled that sliver of unease.
"Even Father’s nap won’t be long for us, at most one or two days. Plus," he blinked his giant eyes confidently.
"Once Father knows you’ve come, and carrying the ’Savior’ title fighting for the world, his eyes representing hope and future would surely open faster, maybe there will be divine guidance tomorrow."
Father God’s wisdom is boundless, obviously aware of Kana’s arrival.
Then, Chronos, with brotherly concern, warned Talia in a slightly lowered voice.
"By the way, dear sister, before Father officially summons, regarding brother Kana and his ’Savior’ title, be sure not to prematurely disclose it to those other folks. You know, our brothers and sisters..."
He helplessly shook his head.
"Not everyone is as understanding as you. Some simply don’t grasp the concept of courtesy, might offend the guest.
"Others have curiosity so intense it’s exasperating, probably would swarm around like bears smelling honey, asking all sorts of questions, annoyingly. This isn’t the Titan way of hospitality."
Talia heard this, glaring at Chronos with displeasure, a shimmer of ’do I need you to teach me?’ flickered in her emerald eyes.
