Chapter 374: Chapter 374

Yan Rongrong’s fist connected with Chenyang’s palm, but it felt like she had punched a ball of cotton.

Not only did it fail to do any damage, but the "cotton" seemed to have a magnetic pull, holding her fist fast in his palm.

The bizarre moment lasted only a second, but it was enough to make Yan Rongrong’s expression shift to one of shock.

’What’s going on?’

’This seemingly soft move of Chenyang’s... Does it have some other trick... Huh?’

While she was lost in thought, an enveloping force suddenly materialized around her fist.

Before she could react, she saw Chenyang’s hand close around her fist. He then pulled back slowly, causing her to stumble forward, completely off-balance.

It all happened in an instant. She lost her balance before she could even exhale the breath she’d just drawn.

At the same time, Chenyang’s technique and the force he used were also astonishing.

Yan Rongrong saw with her own eyes that his movements were slow, and she could clearly feel how gentle the force he applied was.

The whole motion looked like a woman in her nineties struggling to open a cabinet to get a snack for her great-grandson.

And yet, these seemingly gentle, slow movements made Yan Rongrong feel as if she were being pulled in by a giant magnet and shoved by a thousand-pound weight all at once.

Her entire body fell uncontrollably toward Chenyang. When they were less than ten centimeters apart, his other hand shot up.

The motion still looked slow, but in a flash, Yan Rongrong felt the hand brush her leg, then grab her breast. By the time she could fully react, that same hand was already gripping her neck.

At the same time, the hand gripping her fist let go, only to land on her rear.

Chenyang’s movements looked like they were in slow motion, but the result was as if someone had hit fast-forward.

Before Yan Rongrong could even retract her fist, his large hand had already landed squarely on her rear.

SMACK!

Her backside trembled from the impact, and a fiery, stinging pain shot through her.

"You bastard..."

"Hey, hey, hey. I’d advise you not to start swearing."

Chenyang cut her off with a teasing laugh. "If that had been a life-or-death battle, I would have already killed you at least three times. And even though this is just a spar, I now have you in a position where I can take you down at any moment. As the loser, you’d better concede and honor our bet. Otherwise... it won’t just be a beating. You’ll lose face completely."

"K-killed Rongrong three times?" An Xiaoqing drew closer, a completely bewildered look on her face.

She hadn’t understood how Chenyang had defeated Yan Rongrong, and she was equally confused as to why he claimed he could have killed her three times in that instant.

Liu Yue had the same question. Frowning, she asked, "You just slapped her rear and are gripping her neck. At most, that counts as ’killing’ her once, right? Where are you getting three times from?"

The corner of Chenyang’s mouth curled up. He released Yan Rongrong, pulled a cigarette from his pocket, and lit it. He took a drag and said with a playful smile, "That’s a question for General Manager Yan to answer."

"Rongrong, what happened?" An Xiaoqing asked curiously.

Yan Rongrong shot Chenyang an angry glare, then explained, "Before he grabbed my neck, he touched my leg and my chest. If he’d been holding a knife, he wouldn’t have needed to stop at my leg. He could have gone straight for my abdomen."

"Likewise, if he hadn’t gone for my abdomen, he could have struck my chest and pierced my heart. Either of those would have been fatal. Add to that him gripping my neck, and isn’t that three times he could have killed me?"

"So... what about slapping your rear?" Liu Yue asked innocently.

Yan Rongrong’s face was beet red, her chest heaving as she seethed, "That part was purely him taking advantage of me. If this were a real battle, that would be for my humiliation."

An Xiaoqing winced. "Killing you and humiliating you... isn’t that like twisting the knife after stabbing you?!"

Yan Rongrong fumed, "It was just a spar! Was it necessary to be so humiliating? He’s an absolute bastard!"

Chenyang laughed mockingly. "You’re allowed to humiliate me by saying I’m ’not good enough,’ so I’m not allowed to twist the knife a little in return?"

"You..."

"Can you two hold off on the arguing for a second?" An Xiaoqing cut in, asking with a very confused expression, "Rongrong, how did you even lose?!"
