The Forensic Doctor Better Than a Detective
Chapter 1184: Caught Red-Handed! (Part 2)
Chapter 1184: Chapter 605: Caught Red-Handed! (Part 2)
“How could I be related to any case? This is just a traffic accident, a negligence, not a crime. At most…pay some compensation.”
“You seem to understand well.” Qin Feng stared at him, his gaze unwavering.
Then Qin Feng turned his head and gave a signal to the two team members beside him, slightly raising his chin: “Go, cuff him.”
The two team members pounced on him from left and right. One grabbed Li Chuang’s arm and twisted it back, while the other pinned his shoulder hard against the car body.
Li Chuang screamed, his face pressed against the hood.
Before he could struggle, a pair of shiny handcuffs clicked and locked his wrists.
“I haven’t even reported it yet, and you’ve already cuffed me?”
“The traffic police will handle it themselves.” Qin Feng holstered his gun, his tone calm and resolute, “Take him back.”
After he was taken to the police car, Qin Feng turned his head to look at Wang Shuai.
At this moment, Wang Shuai was still in shock.
His brain was buzzing, not understanding what had happened.
Wasn’t this a simple traffic accident?
Do the police need to draw their guns?
Just as he was about to ask something, Qin Feng patted his shoulder and said, “I’ll contact the nearest traffic police to handle it later, then the insurance company will get involved.”
Wang Shuai nodded mechanically and said, “What about the fourth deceased?”
“You don’t need to worry about it. Go back and do your job; you’re not in danger now.”
After saying this, Qin Feng and several other officers took Li Chuang back to the interrogation room.
40 minutes later, when they just entered the interrogation room door, Jiang An came out from the monitoring room, and they happened to meet at the door.
“Mr. Jiang, are you interested in joining the interrogation?”
Upon hearing this, Jiang An nodded and said, “Alright.”
Soon, the two criminal police captains worked together again and entered the interrogation room.
Li Chuang came in again, this time with a displeased expression, saying: “What? Are you police here to interrogate me in disguise?”
“You just released me not long ago, and now you want to cuff me again. Once I’m out, you’ll regret it.”
“Regret? The premise is that you can still get out.”
“You carry the guilt of three deaths, and there’s a fourth attempted murder. Do you think you can still get out?”
“Whether I can get out isn’t for the police to decide. I believe I’m upright and have nothing to hide.”
“Upright and have nothing to hide? Then tell me, how did Zhang Fei, Li Jun, and Chen Bing die?”
“Who? Never heard of them?” Li Chuang showed anger, “How they died is none of my business. I’m just a furniture mover.”
“Let me tell you, those three are buried next to your ex-girlfriend Zhao Yan. We suspect the murderer committed the crime to avenge Zhao Yan, and now you are the main suspect.”
Upon hearing this, he chuckled and said, “Officer, you must have gone mad looking for the culprit, right?”
“I’m just a furniture mover; how could I be the murderer?”
“And I don’t even know those three, so why would I kill them?”
“Not knowing them doesn’t mean you won’t kill. I think their deaths are deeply tied to your ex-girlfriend Zhao Yan’s death.”
“Haha, your imagination is really good.”
“Back then, we suspected Zhao Yan was murdered, but you kept telling us her death was suicide, not homicide.”
“What? Now you want to say she was murdered? Isn’t that inconsistent?”
“Besides, this matter has been so long ago, I’ve already forgotten it, and started a new life.”
“How she died no longer has anything to do with me.”
“Easy to say. You’re the murderer.”
After saying this, Li Chuang’s mouth twitched and he said, “Officer, do you have evidence? Want me to confess without evidence? No way.”
“Oh, quite the nerve. Then we’ll wait and see how much you’re still pretending.”
At this moment, Jiang An, sitting beside him, fully focused on Li Chuang’s every move.
From the moment he entered the interrogation room until now, his behavior seemed indistinguishable from that of an innocent person.
His anger and dissatisfaction, at least from an innocent perspective, seemed very normal.
For example, if you’ve never killed anyone, you’ll be confident entering the interrogation room and firmly claim you haven’t killed.
However, if you’ve committed a crime, you’ll likely be somewhat nervous facing the police.
Nervousness is a natural human reaction.
You might try hard to contain it and pretend, but the more you do, the greater the risk of slipping up.
From watching him until now, Jiang An felt there was no sign of lying on his face.
Nonetheless, Jiang An needed to test him again.
Then Jiang An opened his mouth and said, “Li Chuang, you’ve been a bachelor all these years; it should’ve been painful to live every day, right?”
“Painful? Why would it be painful? What would I be in pain about? I’m just one person; if I’m full, the whole family isn’t hungry. Occasionally eating some cold dishes, having some beer, isn’t that nice?”
“You can have these resources, but every day you think about revenge plans.”
“Now, you’ve completed three revenge targets. Tonight should be the fourth, but unfortunately, we police disrupted your plans.”
Upon hearing this, Li Chuang slightly raised his head and said, “Officer, I don’t know what you’re talking about?”
“What revenge? What fourth revenge? I’m not clear on this.”
“Not clear? Not clear why you would rear-end the car in front for no reason?”
“Rear-endings are common, aren’t they? So many traffic accidents happen daily; isn’t it bound to happen?”
“But yours was a deliberate rear-ending; your car lingered multiple times below Wang Shuai’s office building, waiting until he stepped out before quietly following him.”
“Moreover, the rear-end occurred when the traffic flow wasn’t heavy and the speed wasn’t fast. Don’t you find the rear-end unusual?”
“I find nothing unusual; I’ve had rear-end incidents in traffic accidents before.”
“Nonsense!”
In an instant, Qin Feng slammed the table and stood up: “We found a rope under your car; were you planning to strangle him then dump his body?”
“I thought the front bumper was damaged, and planned to tie it up with the rope.”
“Oh, quite an explanation,” Jiang An said, “Your mind is very agile, but let me tell you, any camouflage has no credibility in front of the truth.”
Li Chuang said, “I haven’t killed anyone, and I don’t know why you came to me.”
“As for Zhao Yan’s death, you concluded it was suicide; now, I truly don’t understand why you’re still entangled in this.”
“Entangled? That’s because you’re more entangled than us; don’t think lack of evidence means you can escape punishment.”
“I firmly believe if you’ve killed, there will be evidence left behind; we just haven’t found it yet.”
After a while, Jiang An asked again: “You said your girlfriend was murdered; can you explain why you suspected this? Were there any suspects?”
“Wasn’t this already discussed last time?”
“I sensed he was acting strangely, so I guessed he might’ve been murdered.”
“But you repeatedly told me it wasn’t murder; it was suicide.”
Upon hearing this, Jiang An nodded: “Besides not wanting to see you, did he also show reluctance in being close to you intimately?”
Hearing this, Li Chuang slightly raised his head, appeared stunned, but said nothing.
Then Jiang An continued: “So, you suspected he was defiled by several men…”
As soon as he said this, Li Chuang involuntarily clenched his fists and said, “I suspected that.”
“You suspected, so you killed those three?”
Li Chuang, facing Jiang An opposite him, looked at him directly, eyes bloodshot.
