Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Losing Beast Beast One After Another

The moment Liang He saw the Platinum Giant Lion on the Starship, she wondered if her eyes were playing tricks on her. However, the passengers scurrying around in panic reminded her that the scene before her was very real.

"Cyril!" Liang He roared at the Platinum Giant Lion, who was joyfully jumping through hoops above, nearly startling the big cat right out of the air.

"AOOO? AOOO!"

Hearing someone call his name, the Platinum Giant Lion’s green eyes flickered with confusion. It wasn’t until he caught sight of Liang He that he immediately bounded down from above in delight.

"AOOO~"

They had only been apart for a short while, but the Platinum Giant Lion acted as if he had found a long-lost relative. He clung to Liang He, affectionately rubbing his massive head against her.

"All right, you’ve caused such a huge mess, and you still have the nerve to act cute?" Liang He rolled her eyes at him in exasperation. She then looked at the Starship’s security officer, who had arrived just in time but looked a bit bewildered, and quickly pulled out her reserve stationmaster ID.

"Hello, I am Liang He, the stationmaster of the Seventh Service Area on the Sky Shining Star. This is the Platinum Giant Lion Siriel, whom we are responsible for caring for. Due to an accident, he secretly followed us onto the Starship. I am incredibly sorry about this."

The security officer examined Liang He’s ID. After verifying its authenticity, he returned it to her with a surprisingly friendly tone.

"It’s all right. Cyril has just been jumping around the amusement facilities and hasn’t hurt any passengers. Rest assured, we will comfort those who were frightened."

"Regardless, Cyril has caused you trouble. I will contact the reserve, and we will take full responsibility for compensating the affected passengers."

Liang He was never one to shirk responsibility or pretend nothing happened just because a situation hadn’t escalated. She believed in taking responsibility where it was due. Moreover, the appearance of the Platinum Giant Lion indicated a lapse in the reserve’s management, so they naturally had to bear the consequences.

"Very well. We will go and soothe the passengers first. As for the Platinum Giant Lion, we need to communicate with our superiors to determine how to accommodate him." Generally speaking, if a passenger wished to carry animals or transport fierce beasts, they had to apply and pass a review in advance. The Platinum Giant Lion’s appearance was an accident, and such emergencies had to be reported up the chain of command.

"Sorry for the inconvenience. I’ll take him back to my cabin first."

To avoid having the Platinum Giant Lion scare any more passengers, Liang He had no choice but to make him squeeze into her double cabin. Fortunately, the double cabin was relatively spacious, and the empty space in the middle was more than enough to fit a Platinum Giant Lion.

Hoder, who had arrived a step behind her, had already contacted Huo An the moment he saw the Platinum Giant Lion.

"Uncle Huo An said he will immediately contact the relevant departments to resolve the situation on the Starship. He wants you to take good care of the Platinum Giant Lion and not worry about anything else," Hoder explained.

"All right." Liang He grabbed the Platinum Giant Lion’s tail, ignoring his longing gaze that clearly wanted to continue jumping through hoops, and headed straight back.

Seeing that she only had to call out once to make the Platinum Giant Lion obediently come down, and now treating such a fierce beast so simply and roughly without him showing any signs of resistance, the initially frightened passengers were now watching the spectacle, clicking their tongues in wonder.

"Holy crap, why do I find this lion a bit familiar? Cyril... could it be?"

"Say no more! Isn’t this my ’wife’?! AHHH! I can’t believe I’m actually seeing her in person!"

"Don’t try to steal my ’wife’! Seriously though, her looks are off the charts! She’s just as gorgeous as any top-tier celebrity!"

These young girls were regulars on the Star Network and were among Liang He’s earliest fans. They harbored an inexplicable admiration for her ability to tame so many big shots and fierce beasts. Seeing them staring at Liang He’s retreating figure with starry eyes, Hoder shook his head helplessly, turned around, and hurried to catch up with Liang He.

"AOOO?"

Locked inside the double cabin, the Platinum Giant Lion didn’t have the slightest intention of escaping since Liang He was there with him. He was merely puzzled as to why she wouldn’t let him play with the hoops anymore.

"Cyril, you’ll have to put up with squeezing in here for the night. Tomorrow, once we get off the Starship, I’ll take you out to stretch your legs, okay?" Liang He patiently explained to the Platinum Giant Lion. She didn’t scold him for sneaking aboard and causing such a massive disaster. After all, Cyril was just a little lion who loved jumping through hoops. He didn’t know any better; it was her and the reserve’s dereliction of duty that had caused all of this.

"AOOO!"

He was saying okay!

The Platinum Giant Lion cooperatively found a comfortable spot and lay down. Having chased after Liang He all this way, sneaked onto the Starship, and played for a while, he was also tired.

"Um..." Hoder looked at the latest message sent by Huo An. He stammered while glancing at Liang He, before finally steeling his resolve, squeezing his eyes shut, and blurting it out. "I’m sorry, but the Little Black Snake has gone missing too! It’s suspected he also boarded the Starship!"

"..."

Shocked speechless, Liang He was at a complete loss for words. She was merely going on a business trip. How had she managed to lose two Beast Beasts in a row?

"Forget it. I’ll go out and look for Little Black later. We’ll cross that bridge if I can’t find him."

The Little Black Snake was small in size, so finding him in the massive Starship wouldn’t be easy. Therefore, Liang He didn’t hold out much hope.

Meanwhile, a tall, handsome figure was stealthily slipping into a luxury cabin. After swiping an incredibly expensive-looking piece of clothing belonging to the room’s owner, he vanished without a sound.

"GRUMBLE..."

The Platinum Giant Lion’s stomach rumbled with hunger. Liang He looked at him with a face full of worry. Since she hadn’t planned on taking any furry creatures out with her, she hadn’t prepared any canned food or similar supplies.

"Hoder, I’m going to go buy some meat for Cyril. Can you keep an eye on him for a bit?"

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

Just as Hoder was about to offer to go find food himself, someone knocked on the door. He had no choice but to walk over, crack the door open, and peek outside. He discovered it was the same security officer from earlier.

"Hello, valued guest. I am here representing the Starship to discuss matters concerning the Platinum Giant Lion."

Huo An had immediately contacted the Starship’s higher-ups. He quickly obtained special permission, allowing the Platinum Giant Lion to remain on the Starship until Liang He and Hoder arrived at the Greenfield Star.

"Given the Platinum Giant Lion’s massive size, Director Huo An has upgraded your cabin. Guests in luxury cabins are allowed to bring pets... Uh, can you guarantee that Cyril won’t harm the other passengers?"

"Of course. Cyril is very obedient. I can guarantee that."

If she didn’t provide such a guarantee, the Platinum Giant Lion would likely have to be sent to a dedicated animal cabin, which could easily lead to uncontrollable incidents. Before coming here, the security officer had clearly been informed of the situation and verified Liang He’s identity. He naturally also knew that the Platinum Giant Lion was actually the Imperial Crown Prince. Thus, out of a sense of responsibility, he merely wanted to double-check.

"Then there’s no problem. I will now take you two to your luxury cabin to settle in."

Hoder had never imagined that Cyril’s appearance would actually score them a cabin upgrade. Thrilled to enjoy the luxury, he immediately hoisted both of their luggage and followed the security officer. All Liang He had to do was handle the Platinum Giant Lion, holding onto his mane so he wouldn’t run around looking for novelties.

Just as they were entering the elevator, a man dressed in a black-and-gold uniform happened to be walking out. He brushed past Liang He, and she instinctively turned her head to look back at him, freezing for a moment.

"Liang He, what’s wrong?"
