Chapter 129: Chapter 129: I’ll Make Them Regret Messing With Me!

Under everyone’s expectant gaze, Liang He cleared her throat lightly. Ultimately braving the risk of being criticized, she spoke what she originally intended to say.

"The book I want to recommend isn’t some famous literary classic; it’s a book on child psychology called *Learn to Praise Everything Your Child Does*."

Before announcing the title, she had indeed piqued many people’s curiosity and anticipation. But once she actually stated the title, every single person in the room fell completely silent.

Children? Kids? Had they walked into the wrong venue, or had Liang He mixed up her script?

"I know you must be wondering—why read up on child psychology?"

Logically speaking, Blue Star had plenty of research books on animal psychology. Liang He could have casually recommended a few without any issue; there was absolutely no need for her to ask for trouble. As for applying child psychology to animal psychotherapy, it was purely Liang He’s personal opinion. After all, she wasn’t a professional and could only share based on her own experiences.

"In my heart, small animals are very much like young children. They don’t possess the high intelligence of humans, but they are extremely sensitive to emotions. You might think they don’t understand praise or criticism, but that is actually not true."

Just like when Liang He interacted with her fluffy companions, she would frequently praise them, or put on a serious face to scold them when they made mistakes. She never cared whether they understood her words. Her tone alone was enough for the fluffballs to distinguish good from bad. Over time, even if they hadn’t understood at first, they eventually caught on.

"Only when you attempt to take that first step can your relationship with the animals possibly transform."

From a brown bear’s psychological issues to child psychology, and then to the relationship between humans and animals, Liang He spoke freely, following whatever train of thought came to mind. Yet, the trainees, experts, and professors in the audience listened with exceptional focus. It had to be said that Liang He had opened the door to a new world for them.

Perhaps this was the reason she was particularly favored by Evolutionary Beastmen? Regardless, learning a bit more was never a bad thing. Fortunately, every training exchange session was centrally recorded. Otherwise, those trainees who had neglected the lecture out of their initial contempt for Liang He would be left beating their chests in regret.

"I really didn’t expect this. Liang He has truly given me quite a pleasant surprise."

Watching Liang He shining on stage, President Lucas couldn’t stop the corners of his lips from curving upward, his face full of admiration. He knew she had been forced into this situation. He had originally thought she would, at most, share some of her experiences as a breeder, but to his surprise, she had delivered such a lively and engaging lecture to everyone.

"And she claimed she didn’t know how to teach. I think she’s doing an excellent job!"

It was a good thing President Lucas was watching the live broadcast from the lounge. Otherwise, if others had heard his remark, it would have drawn even more animosity toward Liang He.

"Your judgment has always been exceptionally keen, President. Miss Liang He is indeed outstanding." Standing to the side, Assistant An watched Liang He on the screen with a similar look of amazement. It was no wonder the President wanted to push past all opposition to elevate her position; her future was simply limitless.

"By the way, are the arrangements I asked you to make ready?" Suddenly bringing up serious business, President Lucas’s expression instantly grew solemn. Recalling what Liang He had told him before taking the stage, he couldn’t help but sigh deeply.

"Rest assured, everything has been properly arranged."

"That’s good." As President Lucas’s most capable and trusted aide, Assistant An handled tasks in a way that put him perfectly at ease.

Liang He explained several cases in a row. A small animal that refused to eat and showed faint symptoms of anorexia was chosen as the final case.

"I developed these canned food recipes based on the nutritional needs of both carnivores and herbivores. They are mostly universally applicable, but it is best to adjust them according to actual circumstances for a more appropriate fit."

When interstellar breeders fed animals, they generally provided raw food based on the animals’ natural food chains in order to maintain their instincts and habits as much as possible. But in Liang He’s view, these animals were being rescued due to injury and were not in a normal state. Therefore, careful attention needed to be paid to their diets.

"Miss Liang He’s explanation was so detailed that I couldn’t even keep up with my notes. I’ll have to rewatch the recording a few times later."

"I can’t believe she’s willing to just announce the canned food recipes directly! I thought she would choose to publish a book or collect royalty fees for them. Miss Liang He is such a good person!"

"Did you see that? The little guy who supposedly might have anorexia is actually eating the canned food with great relish. Its breeder is absolutely overjoyed."

To help everyone understand the foundational concept of the recipes, Liang He had made the canned food right in front of them. Aside from the necessary nutrients, it was purely natural with no additives. She gave no one any opportunity to question her methods—such as accusing her of using food attractants.

Once everyone finished copying down the recipes, Liang He’s sharing session officially came to an end.

"Phew... I’m finally done." Leaning against the sofa in the lounge, Liang He took the water cup Hoder handed her and took small sips. It wasn’t that she was being overly delicate; even though her mouth was completely parched, she couldn’t gulp water down in large mouthfuls, as that could easily cause water intoxication or electrolyte loss.

"It’s a good thing you were so thorough," Hoder said. "Otherwise, it would have been easy for someone to seize on a slip of the tongue and cause trouble for you."

Hoder had noticed quite a few people getting restless, eager to pick a fight. But Liang He had anticipated their moves perfectly, leaving no loopholes. In the end, they had no choice but to drop their intentions and quietly listen to the lecture.

"I don’t have time to deal with petty people." She still had to deal with the Rebel Army and the Fierce Beasts today. Naturally, she didn’t want to waste too much time and energy on the sharing session.

Hearing the underlying meaning in Liang He’s words, Hoder nodded in strong agreement. "The closing ceremony is this afternoon. If they don’t make a move soon, I’m afraid they won’t get such a good opportunity again."

"Then we’ll just wait, and hold our ground against whatever they throw at us."

If the Rebel Army didn’t act, Liang He didn’t mind. And if they recklessly came knocking on her door, she still wouldn’t mind, because she was entirely fearless. That was the benefit of possessing formidable strength.

"Let’s ignore them for now. Filling our stomachs is the real priority." Liang He patted the Platinum Giant Lion’s head, using her fingers as a comb to smooth out his mane. The long, thick mane was incredibly soft and silky. "Our Cyril is like a top-tier supermodel in the Lion World. Super handsome, right?"

Her daily dose of praise might be late, but it never failed to arrive.

"ROAR!"

Praised so much that he lost his bearings, the Platinum Giant Lion happily spun in circles around Liang He. It wasn’t until Liang He grew dizzy and grabbed his tail that he obediently stopped.

"Alright, let’s go eat."

Actually, a formal luncheon was scheduled for the final day of the training exchange session. However, Liang He didn’t like joining crowded events, so she took them to eat a private meal instead.

By the time they finished lunch, there was only half an hour left until the closing ceremony. Feeling too lazy to return to their room, they simply went outdoors for a stroll to digest.

"I wonder how they’ll make their entrance," Hoder said, looking around and remaining constantly vigilant of any rustling in their surroundings.

In contrast, Liang He—the primary target of the impending abduction—wasn’t nervous at all. In fact, she looked far more relaxed than when she had been lecturing that morning.

"No matter what method they use, I’ll make them regret provoking me." Gazing into the distance, a shocking glint of murderous intent flashed in the depths of Liang He’s eyes, vanishing in an instant without a trace.

BOOM!

A sudden, earth-shattering explosion instantly shattered the illusion of peace.

"What is that?!"
