The First Store System

Chapter 573

Chapter 573: Liz and her Efforts!

Liz was one of the customers who got acquainted with the store during the popular annual event the store owner has been organizing over the past fifty years.

During the annual event ten years ago, Liz came to know about the store and the event. From that moment, she had become a regular customer of the store.

Across all the annual events, one reward has been permanent and the most desired, a territory in Panagea.

The kinds of tests for it would be different every year, but the reward in the form of territory in Panagea was fixed. Every customer who knew or found out about the store at that event wanted it, so the competition would always be very challenging.

Only at the first event were there three ranked territories in Panagea, providing different kinds of benefits to their owner over the protection limit. But from the second year, there was only a single reward for the first ranked participant out of those millions who participated.

The value of territory over these past annual events had been similar, with the number of opportunities only varying by a very small margin.

The rewarded territory was 11,000 sq. miles in area, with a large number of red marks and several golden dots.

Red represented danger. Depending on its intensity, the risk got an increase or reduction. Golden dots defined natural resources that were there for the winner to conquer.

The territory was the same as what the third-ranked participant had gotten in the first ever event the store owner had organized.

It also had the same amount of protection period, one year, and after that, the territory would face an attack from the neighboring ruler.

Since today none has been able to protect their territory after the protection period had gotten over. Only one participant was even able to give a tough fight to the ruler, but unfortunately, he also failed in the end.

The candidate was none other than Eris, the first winner of the territory-related event and the only one in the history of the store to get such territory.

But Eris’s hard-fighting efforts didn’t come to naught, as inspired by his battle, the new ruler gave him some part of his previously owned territory to the ruler. But for some reason, Eris had refused the offer. The reason for refusal has become a mystery for everyone who was a customer in the store. Even Robert, the third-ranked territory owner, and his friend didn’t know about the cause behind Eris’s actions.

Maria, the second-ranked territory owner, had also failed to win against the neighboring ruler. But it was not like she didn’t gain anything; the protection period of three years on her land had allowed her to have enough resources to sustain a top organization.

She was now a peak Tao Palace level cultivator and had always been in the top three on the leaderboard, showing levels in Panagea.

Such was the story of Maria that if anyone had to share the mystery of the store, they would use her example of how she was only a Soul Formation level cultivator when she had arrived in the store, but now she was strong, with an even more powerful organization that held several Immortals in its midst.

The organization, Skylord, was the only one to establish its base in the Bisan Kingdom, showing her close relations with the royal family.

Hearing these stories, Liz has also gotten inspired. From the first event, she had been competing with others for the rewarded territory in Panagea.

Liz’s efforts didn’t prove her wrong. In the fourth year of her consecutive competition in the event, she finally won that prestigious competition and became a proud owner of the territory in Panagea.

Since the territory was the only reward in the event that was allowed for the winner to sell and wasn’t blood or soul binding, the offers Liz had gotten for the land had almost made her faint that year.

The selling offers varied from three Universes in the Heaven-cluster to Supreme Primal stone mines. Liz, who came from a mid-tier affluent family, the offers were too much to refuse. If she were to choose even the tenth-ranked offer, it would still give her enough leeway to become the mightiest of her family members. From every inch of her soul had come a voice that told her to go for the sale, but she didn’t listen to it as she didn’t work hard over those four years to win it and then sell it. Liz refused any price offered to her and chose to work on it.

Unfortunately for Liz, she also failed to protect the territory after its protection period got over.

When Liz had won the territory, she was Level 106, and when she lost it, she was level 128, so gaining more than twenty levels in a year had already made her winning the territory worth all her efforts.

Even though Liz had won the territory once, she wasn’t satisfied having it for only a year.

So she continued participating in the event for the years after that.

Liz’s efforts and luck favored her again as she won the contest organized in the event this year, becoming the first customer to win the competition twice and own the territory twice.

Since the number of territories won by participants had gotten fixed at one, its value was rising every year at an exponential rate in everyone’s eyes.

When Liz won the territory for the second time just several days ago in the last day event, the offer she got for the land didn’t make her almost faint, but her heart stopped beating with the shock Liz received.

The highest offer she got for the territory was eight Universes in the Heaven cluster, six supreme Primal stone mines, and a core spot in the highest-ranked organization in the Primal dimension.

There were only a few thousand Universes in the Heaven cluster in the Primal dimension, so offering eight wasn’t a small sum. And there were also six supreme Primal stone mines, but the greatest of the treasure if Liz were to take the offer was the core spot in the highest-ranked organization.

Liz, who was determined to reject any offer, took three days before she could finally refuse it.
