Chapter 555

Chapter 555: Journey to the End(11)

Aakesh couldn’t help but get surprised as a ground filled with nothing but concrete welcomed him after he exited the garden.

‘Have I finally reached the end?’ Aakesh couldn’t help but think as this was the only explanation for why there wasn’t any stair.

When Aakesh reached the one hundred and seventh step, he still saw a never-ending stair, so its disappearance came as a surprise to him.

For a moment, Aakesh thought that it could be an illusion. But soon, he rotated the minuscule amount of the element of Nihility he could control, and the surroundings stayed the same. After activating the Energy Overseer, if Aakesh were to look at himself right now, he would have seen two colorless light dots.

Since the surroundings had no change, Aakesh could firmly believe that it wasn’t an illusion, and he had actually reached the end of the stair at the one hundred and eighth step.

Aakesh had reached the end of the stair but not passed the world as Aakesh had just confirmed it from the system. The time flow rate was still 100,000:1 here in comparison to the Primal dimension.

It had already been more than forty-nine years since Aakesh entered this world, and there were only several months left before the deadline he had set for himself to reach the ruler’s territory. Considering this, Aakesh decided to waste no time and proceed ahead.

Aakesh had only taken a step forward when he noticed a beam of light suddenly emerging from the ground and flowing into the sky at an unimaginable rate.

In less than a split second, the light beam pierced the sky, and a loud cracking sound rang in the area as the space where the beam hit had cracked open.

For a moment, Aakesh had thought of it as an exit. But the feeling soon vanished away as Aakesh sensed an extremely dangerous sensation from the crack.

The expressionless face suddenly turned into cold as Aakesh’s body subconsciously released the aura it had.

A frown appeared on Aakesh’s face as he never expected his body to act on its own, but he had no time to think about it as a killing intent never seen before leaked from the space crack.

The killing intent wasn’t spiritual, but it had materialized as random-shaped red-colored shards attacked Aakesh.

Even though the space crack was at quite a distance from him, the countless shards made of killing intent were already in front of him.

The difference between these shards and the Elvish man’s materialized killing intent was like sky and earth.

Aakesh knew he couldn’t let the shards hit him even though they weren’t strong enough even to cause a shallow injury. It was an intent that would attempt to corrupt his mind.

Aakesh activated the Counter Shield.

“BOOM!”

“BOOM!”

“BOOM!”

As soon as a shard crashed onto the shield, it would explode like a bomb, and not long after, a red cloud would emerge from the blast. It would then attempt to eat the shield.

Aakesh ignored it and looked toward the space crack as his challenge was there, not these shards.

The space crack continued expanding as the number of shards attacking Aakesh increased.

“Hehe,” The next moment, a burst of familiar laughter filled with an eerie tone rang in the area.

Aakesh’s face turned graver as he recognized the owner of the laughter. It wasn’t some stranger’s voice but his.

Soon, a figure passed through the crack and floated in the sky.

Aakesh’s face turned cold as the being in front of Aakesh held the same appearance as him. Even the amount of strength was the same. Aakesh felt as if he was looking at his mirror self.

Except for the expression on the floating Aakesh’s face, everything was similar and almost gave the feeling of Aakesh standing in front of the mirror.

A grin filled with cruelty, while eyes contained playfulness as the floating creature looked at Aakesh on the ground.

The red shards were still bombarding Aakesh, but the Counter Shield stood still no matter how big the red cloud became or how many of them attacked it.

“Hehe, wouldn’t it be fun if we battled?” The floating figure laughingly asked.

Aakesh maintained his cold eyes as he stared at the creature in the air to find something that differentiated him from it. But no matter what Aakesh attempted, except for the different expressions, both the Aakesh were similar in everything.

The floating creature didn’t mind Aakesh’s silence as to how could he not know the personality of the being it was mirroring.

The next moment, the floating creature snapped his fingers.

Aakesh, who had just restrained his aura a few moments earlier, felt his aura going wild once again.

The space around Aakesh started cracking as his aura unrestrainedly raged around him.

All the restrictions on Aakesh disappeared at that moment as if it was never there.

The next moment, the countless red shards and the red cloud born from their explosions disintegrated as Aakesh’s aura attacked them.

“Now, let’s fight at our full power,” The floating creature commented and then disappeared from the spot.

Aakesh also disappeared from where he was standing. The next moment, continuous sounds of explosions rang in the area as Aakesh and the mirrored Aakesh clashed with each other in the air.

It was the first time for Aakesh in the past two centuries that he was fighting someone without any restrictions.

Even when Aakesh was training with Autumn and Katrina, restrictions were still there for him.

“Isn’t it fun fighting against yourself without any restraint?” The creature commented as the battle between it and Aakesh continued.

“You talk too much,” Aakesh finally couldn’t handle someone with the same appearance as him talking this much. He coldly told the creature.

“Haha! If we had the same personality, what would be the point of existing?” The creature laughed out loud as they clashed.

Aakesh didn’t respond and focused on the battle with the creature.

Time flew by.

“BOOM!!!!”

An explosion louder than ever rang in the area as two Apocalyptic Blast clashed with each other.

As far as Aakesh’s eyes could see, the space had turned into a cracked glass on the verge of its end.

It wasn’t the end as the force released by the explosion made the cracked space entirely disintegrate.
