Chapter 1532: Ancient Glorious City(3)

Chapter 1532: Ancient Glorious City(3)

“So what? How dare a lowly spirit insult you?” Lily didn’t care if she was weak. She would never let someone insult Aakesh, even at the cost of her life.

Khaval shared the same feeling, so he was also angry with Aakesh for stopping him.

Aakesh smiled when he saw the two of them being angry with him. He then gestured for the two of them to return to their small size.

Even though they were angry, they still followed and soon grew to their small size.

Aakesh bent down and picked the two of them up in his embrace. He patted their heads and said, “Do you become angry with a dog for barking?”

“You don’t. Because that’s the way they speak.”

“Similarly, the insult you feel is the way that spirit’s speaking. It doesn’t mean to insult you, but it is its natural way of speaking.”

Aakesh stated. Lily and Khaval had no response to that, but they were still angry with Aakesh.

Aakesh knew what the two of them wanted, so he roughened Lily’s fur while tapping Khaval’s gigantic head.

Aakesh wasn’t someone to get offended by things that weren’t done for offending purposes. He knew about the spirit since it was an artificial spirit that used insulting words for all who crossed past it.

The insult it used had a magical effect, as it slowly reduced the morale of those who listened to it. Aakesh had unlimited intelligence, so his mental capacity was infinite. The words didn’t affect him at all.

Once Lily and Khaval calmed down, he put them back on his head. Something good happened at the door since Lily and Khaval stopped fighting, and Lily returned to being a friendly elder sister.

The two cuddled and fell asleep on Aakesh’s bun since he promised them that he would wake them up if any situation happened.

Aakesh focused on the city before him. A wide street and numerous buildings of different kinds greeted his sight. His expression returned to his usual indifference and he walked to the nearest building.

From the outside, it couldn’t be said what was inside the building, so Aakesh, unaware of the dangers ahead of him, stepped inside.

Aakesh had the system’s protection, so he didn’t need to worry about any danger.

After walking inside, Aakesh found himself standing at the door of an inn. Ahead of him, there was a restaurant filled with customers, while left of him, there was a stair that went upward.

“Sir, food or living?” A waiter approached him and asked.

Aakesh didn’t immediately answer but looked around. He could sense a negative energy trying to subvert his senses, but it failed due to strong mental tenacity.

“What if I want to live here and also eat food?” Aakesh asked the waiter.

The waiter froze for a moment, but a smile returned to his face, and he responded, “Sir, food or living?”

Aakesh couldn’t help but become disappointed since he could see that the waiter ahead of him wasn’t a living being but a simple energy form with no life that could only follow fixed rules.

Since it was only the first building, Aakesh knew the danger level wouldn’t be very high.

“Food,” Aakesh answered, wanting to see what would happen next.

The waiter nodded and then asked Aakesh to follow him. He soon reached an empty table and sat down. The waiter picked up the menu placed on the table and respectfully handed it to Aakesh.

Aakesh took the menu and began to read the dishes on it.

“Sir, please press this button whenever you’re ready to order.” The waiter stated and then turned around to tend to another customer. Saʀch* Th NovelFull.net website on Ggl to access chapters of nvels early and in the highest quality.

“Why are all the dishes related to meat on the menu? I want to have some vegetarian dishes,” Aakesh stopped the waiter and asked.

The waiter froze once again, resulting in a sigh escaping Aakesh’s mouth.

Aakesh knew the fixed rule for the danger was too weak since the significant part of the danger was the subversion of the senses.

“Sir, please press this button whenever you’re ready to order.”

The waiter soon returned to his usual expression and repeated the same sentence.

Aakesh didn’t try to stop the waiter forcefully since even if he tried, he would fail. The waiter had a strength of a Supreme God. Without the system’s help, Aakesh couldn’t defeat him.

Aakesh decided to test another thing and simply sat there, not pressing the button at all. Ten minutes passed, twenty minutes passed, thirty minutes passed, and as the 31st minute began, the waiter returned to the table.

“Thank you for visiting the restaurant. We look forward to your return.” The waiter said with a smile.

Aakesh nodded and then walked out of the restaurant. He didn’t leave but turned around and returned.

“Sir, food or living?” The waiter returned and repeated the same sentence, unaware of Aakesh entering right away.

“Living,” Aakesh answered.

The waiter nodded and then asked Aakesh to follow him through the stairs.

After reaching the first floor, the waiter stopped and introduced the living situation of the inn.

“Sir, do you want to book a room here, or do you want to look for even better accommodation?”

“Better.”

The waiter nodded and then asked Aakesh to follow him to the second floor.

Time flew by, and soon, Aakesh reached the fourth floor, the last floor in the building.

“Sir, how many rooms do you want to book?” The waiter asked, no longer asking about a better option.

“I want a better option,” Aakesh repeated the same thing he had been doing for the past few floors.

As expected, the waiter froze and then repeated the same question.

Aakesh didn’t answer but just stood there. Three minutes later, the waiter repeated the same question, to which Aakesh responded with another bout of silence.

After getting no response to the question for the sixth time, an invisible force attacked Aakesh. The next moment, he was outside the building, with its doors closed for him.

Aakesh tried to push the door, but he failed to budge it, let alone push it open.
