?Chapter 1487: Trial of Power(9)

Seeing that the card was the key to his residence, Huo Jinglin couldn’t help but be astonished. But after thinking about the things he had seen there, it was understandable for the trial designer to anticipate the card purchase.

Click!

Taking a deep breath, he tapped the card on the pattern, and with a clicking sound, the door opened.

Anticipating what was waiting for him, Huo Jinglin walked inside the residence.

The next moment, he looked at the scene ahead of him with utter shock. What looked like a basic villa from the outside turned into a luxurious residence the size of a small continent.

When he looked behind him, he found an endless wall acting as the border of the residence. He couldn’t help but subconsciously walk toward the wall and touch it.

Following his touch, a cool energy flowed through his body, resulting in Huo Jinglin almost moaning in pleasure. He didn’t know what material it was, but he understood it was extraordinary and similarly extremely expensive.

After Huo Jinglin moved his hand away from the wall, his heart couldn’t help but feel empty as if he had lost something fundamental to him. He couldn’t help but touch the wall again, but the cooling feeling didn’t occur at that time, and he only perceived the smoothness of the wall.

He turned around and looked at the path made of an unknown stone. He didn’t recognize it but had a feeling that it was an expensive material like the wall.

The road was several hundred feet wide and went for miles. Huo Jinglin followed it and reached a towering building.

The house was made of the same material as the wall, and he touched the wall to have that sensation again. Unfortunately for him, it was only a one-time occurrence, and he felt nothing except for the smoothness and durability of the material.

There were no gates for the house, so he directly walked inside, and a grand hall greeted his sight.

It was as luxurious as things could get, with the walls paneled in unknown wood carved with intricate patterns. The ceiling further added to it with a massive chandelier crafted from an unknown type of gem.

For the floor, a black carpet stretched across the floor. Huo Jinglin couldn’t help but feel as if he was standing on a cloud.

The towering building was long, and the ground floor only contained a grand hall. There were stairs on the left to go to the next floor.

Huo Jinglin climbed them and stepped onto the first floor. Ahead of him, there was a closed room.

There was Huo Jinglin’s name embedded on the room’s gate, so he believed it to be his bedroom.

The door wasn’t locked, so it opened after a slight push. The restriction of senses formation was embedded in the door, so Huo Jinglin only saw an opaque wall after opening the door.

Since his bedroom contained the details as said by the masked figure, he took a deep breath and walked inside.

His eyes and mouth flew wide open in shock after stepping inside the room. Even the grand hall seemed a poor hut compared to the scene in the bedroom.

Immediately after walking inside, his senses were enveloped in luxury. The carpet beneath his feet was not only comfortably soft, but it also transferred energy to his body. Huo Jinglin felt all his senses heightening and his body reaching a new peak.

Everything in the room was expensive and beneficial to his body. The bed was made of a material unknown to him, but when he touched it, he found whatever energy his body had lost and recovered at a rapid rate. Since his body was free of any external or internal injury after the store owner’s healing, he had a feeling that the bed had such an effect.

Even his father would be jealous of him if he knew the situation at the residence. But since living in vanity wasn’t possible, Huo Jinglin immediately calmed down and picked up the small device placed on the table next to the bed.

It was a spherical device, not bigger than an almond. A piece of information appeared in Huo Jinglin’s mind immediately after that, and he couldn’t help but hesitate upon hearing that.

According to the new information, Huo Jinglin needed to feed the spherical core a drop of his blood to unlock the information it contained.

“Why am I even struggling after all these things have happened to me?” Huo Jinglin couldn’t help but mutter in helplessness remembering his situation since he was grabbed by that claw.

He then gritted his teeth and bit the tip of his finger. The next moment, a drop of blood fell on the spherical device, but what attracted Huo Jinglin’s attention was the color of his blood.

Huo Jinglin noticed that the color had not only grown darker but there was also a slight black tint to it. He didn’t need to think or worry about it since he had seen a similar tint during the ritual ceremony.

Huo Jinglin then focused on the spherical device in his hands and saw it slowly opening up. As if made of numerous small parts, the device then broke into countless small spherical cores.

Before Huo Jinglin could understand what was happening, the numerous tiny devices floated up and threw themselves at him.

Huo Jinglin was forced to close his eyes and clutch his head in pain as an intense bombardment happened. His screams kept ringing until the last tiny device had disappeared.

Huo Jinglin gritted his teeth and walked to the bed. He felt countless needles prickling his sea of consciousness, and his face had turned pale.

Hoping his feelings about the bed were correct, he threw himself on it, and immediately after, he fell asleep.

Huo Jinglin wasn’t incorrect in his feelings, and immediately after sleeping on the bed, whatever pain he was feeling slowly disappeared until his body reached its peak condition, not only physically but also mentally. The bed also helped Huo Jinglin quickly digest all the new pieces of information that would have usually taken him days. The source of ths content is ovl_Fir.et
