Chapter 1391: Coronation!
Chapter 1391: Coronation!
Since the next day would be her coronation, making her officially the King of the Fring Kingdom, Laney needed to do something about the city.
Laney couldn’t just invite other guests into the city when it was blood red and ruined by all the destruction. She immediately went to the travel junction and activated the portal.
Travel portals were the property of the Prasthiti Association, a top organization of the Sacred Dimension. The most the elites of the dead Kingdom could do is close the travel junction, making the portals inactive.
After Laney opened the junction, the portals automatically turned active, and Laney immediately traveled to Thorr City. Her destination wasn’t the store but the city administration office.
Alfred treated True Gods with simple respect after the store’s popularity, unlike what they would usually receive earlier. He had to welcome Laney personally when she reached the office. Unlike other Kings or True Gods, Laney was someone who was known to be close to the store owner.
The store and the store owner were the reason for his arrogance and growth; he wasn’t going to offend Laney or cause any trouble for him.
“I want some workers…” Laney explained her purpose for coming to the city administration.
Alfred nodded after listening to Laney’s words and then left the room. He returned a few minutes later, and with him were a bunch of different types of workers.
Laney didn’t speak much and asked the bunch to follow her. But before she exited the room, she turned around and invited Alfred and Asher to her coronation ceremony.
“Thanks for the invite, your majesty. It would be my fortune to see a momentous occasion such as your coronation,” Alfred responded with a wide smile.
Laney was the top ranker on the adventurer list in the store, so many powerful cultivators wanted to make friends with her. Even though Alfred had gained an increase in respect and authority, he still couldn’t match up to Laney’s status. He sincerely liked Laney’s invitation.
Laney didn’t hide the massacre she committed or the vast destruction she caused and vasked her father for some help. The help wasn’t for opinions or money but for Laney didn’t say anything in response and left the room. She then took the group of thirteen people with her to Kross City, the name of the capital city of the Fring Kingdom.
After ordering what the bunch needed to do, she traveled to her original Kingdom, informing her father about the successful declaration.
Laney didn’t hide the massacre she committed or the vast destruction she caused and asked her father for some help. The help wasn’t for opinions or money but for builders.
Laney wanted the buildings in the Fring Kingdom to be similar to what they were in her native Kingdom since every race had its own touch to its architecture.
Laney’s father was shocked to know about Laney’s killing, but when he learned about the blockade of travel junctions, he supported her decision. Anyway, he didn’t care about the number of people Laney killed, but whether it affected her mentally.
Upon seeing that Laney was fine, the father didn’t say anything and simply agreed to her request.
In the next hour, a group of people appeared, and when it was time to leave, the father followed Laney as well.
“I am the best person when it comes to architecture knowledge in the Kingdom,” The father proudly declared and left, giving Laney no time to refuse.
Laney simply smiled upon hearing her father and didn’t try to stop him.
When she and the group returned to Kross City, the area around the royal palace had been cleaned of blood and ruins. The workers were working hard since Laney promised rich awards to all of them.
Since he could finally see the damage his daughter’s strength had caused, Laney’s father looked at the scenes in shock. He couldn’t help but proudly reach for Laney and tap her shoulders, showing his appreciation.
Laney smiled when she understood her father, but since it was time to work, she immediately stopped smiling and asked her father to oversee the building work.
Laney had too many things to do, so her father accepted her request. She then returned to the city and began to invite those whom she had known over the past few decades.
Maria was one of the many to get an invitation from Laney. She wasn’t an unknown figure in the store since she was the top-ranked adventurer on the leaderboard for those customers who had ascended, making her the highest-ranked adventurer in Panagea after Aakesh.
Time passed in the blink of an eye, and when the invitations finally concluded, it was deep in the night.
Laney couldn’t relax for a moment since the next day would be her coronation, and in all that excitement, the time for her coronation finally arrived.
Laney had chosen the time for her coronation when it was night in Thorr City but day in Kross City.
She didn’t want her guests to miss her coronation due to the store since she wouldn’t go to that kind of ceremony if the store remained open at the same time.
Amid the clapping and cheers of her family members, Laney sat on the throne. It was an item exchanged from Panagea, so it looked out of the world and valuable in the eyes of others on the scene.
There was a limited number of people from the native citizens of the past Kingdom since only the minority had any good feelings toward her. They only had good feelings toward her due to them being harshly treated servants of a now-dead powerful figure of the Kingdom.
Laney didn’t mind the lack of a native presence in the ceremony.
There was no crown atop her head since Aakesh had told her that he would gift her a crown. Laney decided to choose that as her Kingdom’s crown, so the ceremony came to an end with her sitting on the throne while a flag flew above the newly built royal palace exterior.
It would take years to build a suitable structure, so her father and the builders only built the exterior of the palace. Even that would get demolished after the ceremony as thousands of workers would start their work on the new royal palace.
The flag of the Fring Kingdom contained the insignia of a statue. It was the same statue as what Laney had seen in Panagea.
