931 Fear and Shock(1)
Chapter 931: Fear and Shock(1)
“What are they?” Alric asked excitedly as his obsession with the pills woke him up.
“First-grade lesser Body Strengthening Pills…,” Aakesh’s tone remained as indifferent as ever, and he soon introduced all five new pills to Alric.
Alric’s face changed after learning about the Mind Expansion Pill. It was a rare item that many famous alchemists couldn’t create.
“Store owner, are the three sale limits restricted by the grade or the pill?” Alric suddenly asked Aakesh.
Alric had already decided to buy all of them since it would help him. Alric hoped for the sale limit to be by grade, as it would mean he could buy three of each grade for the last two pills. If the sale limit were for the pills, he would have no choice but to buy one of each of the three grades.
“The limit is for grades,” Aakesh answered, bringing a look of excitement onto Alric’s face.
“Store owner, give me three pills from each category,” Alric requested of Aakesh, with a lively smile spreading across his face.
Aakesh stood up from his chair and went to the pill counter. From the shelves, he started pulling three pills at a time. The process continued up to the eighth shelf.
When Aakesh reached the ninth and tenth shelves, he took three pills from each shelf three times.
“You need to pay two thousand and twenty-five lesser Sacred stones,” Aakesh announced expressionlessly.
Alric had also counted the price, so he had already taken out the stones from his space ring. He then pushed the mountain of lesser Sacred stones toward Aakesh.
It was better to pay with two ordinary Sacred stones, but Aakesh refused the sale, saying that you need to own any of three store cards for paying in higher or lower denominations than the actual cost. Fortunately for Alric, he carried a higher number of lesser Sacred stones.
Aakesh waved his hands, and soon the mountain of stones disappeared from the store. After Aakesh got the alert from the system that the payment was correct, he pushed the twenty-plus pills toward Alric.
Alric took a look at each of the pills before placing them inside the space ring. It wasn’t that he mistrusted the store owner; he just liked to check them out.
Once Alric had placed all the pills in his space ring, he thanked Aakesh with a slight bow.
Aakesh only nodded in response to his thanks, and at that time, Aakesh heard the sound of two different footsteps coming from the door. After Alric turned around to leave, Aakesh looked in the direction of the door and found two men stepping inside the store.
As Alric was leaving, he also saw the two people entering the store. His footsteps suddenly halted since he recognized both of them.
Two men who had just entered the store halted as well when they saw Alric.
The two men were none other than Alfred, the Thorr City Lord, and Asher, the Corr City Lord. After finding the store closed yesterday, the duo returned to check on Aakesh today.
“Alric!”
“Father!”
Two different voices simultaneously rang in the store as Alfred and Alric called out to the other person.
“What are you doing here?” Alfred’s tone was stern as he asked Alric. He had been worrying about the non-demon since the King ordered him to find more information, and here his son was a customer of the store.
“I came here to buy pills,” Alric replied in a weak voice as his gaze turned to the floor.
Asher, on the other hand, focused on the blue-skinned non-demon. He raised his eyes in surprise since he didn’t recognize the race of the man.
But then his jaw dropped, and his eyes popped wide open as he stared at the ground. He had seen the stone in Jaimie’s hands. It was a tiny piece, but Jaimie introduced it as if it were the most valuable item in his hands. But here, he was seeing a store’s floor inlaid with the Eternal Stone.
“Tell me more about the store.” Asher interrupted the conversation between the father and son and asked Alric.
Hearing the solemn tone in Asher’s voice, Alfred fell silent and waited for Alric to answer.
Without hiding anything, Alric shared everything from how he found the store, and the pills he bought.
“Does this store also sell cultivation arts?” Asher suddenly asked Alric.
Asher remembered that a few days ago, his daughter Ashley asked him for money to buy a cultivation art. No matter how hard Asher tried, she didn’t give up on the source of the art, so he had no choice but to give up in the end.
Asher recalled the incident because Alric mentioned meeting Ashley here while talking about the store.
“Yes!” Alric replied immediately.
“This girl!” Asher couldn’t help but mumble in surprise with a wry smile.

Aakesh could hear the conversation between the trio. But since the store wasn’t becoming overcrowded due to those three, Aakesh didn’t interrupt and silently waited for the man to come to him.

Alfred and Asher looked at each other with a mixture of shock and fright in their eyes. They were shocked because the store products had outrageous effects, while they were also frightened because someone like Aakesh had appeared in their territory.
Looking at Aakesh, they could see that he was only an early Divine Transformation level cultivator, and it would take nothing more than a casual strike from them to end the man’s life. But at the same time, their intuition warned them against acting. It was as if their deaths were unavoidable if they attempted to harm the man.

“Store owner, why did you open your store here? It must be easy for someone like you to open your store in higher-level territories,” Alfred asked. His tone contained a hint of enmity.
Even though there were benefits to the store appearing here, for the ruling class it was an extremely dangerous position. If someday Aakesh chose to conquer this land and kill all Vurrons, they would be able to do nothing.
As for the King’s order about the non-demon, Alfred and Asher had already forgotten about it. Just from hearing the introduction, they could see that the Fawkes Kingdom was insignificant in front of the store.
