The First Store System

914 Blinding Light!

Chapter 914: Blinding Light!

Leaving the area sounded easier than killing the group, but it wasn’t. If Maria chose the first option, even a little mistake would bring her down. Similarly, the second option was not any less challenging.

No matter what option she chose, her life would be at stake.

Maria’s eyes suddenly turned cold as she couldn’t live the life that she was living in the Primal Dimension before the store’s arrival. She was tired of hiding from other people.

“If death is what awaits me on the other side, then let it be my first challenge to death,” Maria calmly mumbled, as she had already decided to fight back.

Even though she had decided to fight back, it didn’t mean she would charge at the group like this. There was a difference between fighting and sacrificing.

Maria needed to separate the group if she wanted to survive and kill her pursuers.

Since the intermediate Divine Transformation was impossible for her to defeat, she left him out. She would fight the other early Divine Transformation level cultivators and then run.

Only if she had a foolproof chance of killing the intermediate Divine Transformation would she take a chance.

As the group was following the trail left by the killer, the man leading the group frowned. He could feel that things weren’t as they were shown to the world.

No one running would leave such clear footmarks on the ground unless they were an idiot or weak. Maria was neither weak nor an idiot.

“Senior, the footmarks seemed to have disappeared suddenly.”

The leader found his conjecture to be true after one of the men in front called back.

The man’s expression grimaced even more, but all of a sudden, he felt threatened. He hurriedly turned to his left when he heard a group of footsteps rushing toward him.

Roar!

Soon, a bestial roar filled with killing intent rang through the area.

The man’s face turned grave as he soon caught the sight of a beast tide rushing toward him.

“How is it possible for a beast tide to exist here?” One of the men in the group exclaimed in shock.

These areas were only hours away from the town, so these areas were regularly cleared of beasts.

The leader suddenly caught something in the corner of his eye, and when he focused on that, he found a young human female sitting on a tree.

Before the man could say anything, he suddenly saw the woman take something out of the bulging pouch and throw it at him.

The man’s face turned graver as the item looked like a black stone. When the man saw the beast and the stone, his heart turned cold.

A few meters in front of him, the black stone crashed, and soon, a puddle of grey liquid flew from it.

The beasts already rampaging in the beast tide turned entirely insane at that moment, as the smell of the cracked eggs filled their nostrils.

Maria’s eyes were cold as she looked at all of it happening.

The cultivators could only ascend with growth-type weapons, and since Maria was the leader of an organization and also had a large amount of wealth, she was never short of growth-type weapons.

Some she had exchanged from Panagea to bring with her to the Sacred dimension; some she had bought from the store.

The space ring she wore was also a growth-type item, and one that was made by the store owner, so it also came with her.

Maria had been hiding all of this from others since it was necessary for her survival.

The egg she had grabbed was the work of one of the items she had exchanged from Panagea for the price of a few hundred billion supreme Primal stones.

Time flew by, and several minutes passed as the battle became gorier with each passing moment.

Whoosh! Puchi!

The sound of an arrow tearing through the air rang in the jungle and soon after, the sound of it piercing through the skin engulfed it.

Thud!

The man fell to the ground as the arrow passed right through his brain.

The man, leading the group, looked with anger at all of this happening, but he could do nothing to change it.

In addition to the excessive number of beasts, the human woman was also taking advantage of the conflict.

It wasn’t like she was unscathed as the beast rampaged everywhere. Her entire body was covered in blood.

“Argh!” The man screamed as he angrily attacked the beast in front of him.

His punches were no less than weapons as they crushed the beast’s head into a pulp.

Maria was gasping for breath as she had already overexerted herself. She had assumed that the beast tide would be sufficient to change the circumstances in her favor. But she couldn’t be any more wrong as one-third of the group was still alive, and the man leading the group also looked uninjured from the outside.

A wry smile covered her face as the bow in her hands fell to the ground. Her energy stocks were empty. Forget shooting arrows; she couldn’t even continue standing and fell to the ground.

‘Is this the end?’ Maria thought in her heart as she looked at the clear blue sky. As she saw the numerous beasts surrounding her, closing in on her, the pleasant memories she shared with her parents flashed before her eyes.

“I hope I have made you proud,” Maria muttered as the face of Aakesh flashed before her eyes.

As she closed her eyes, suddenly a warm feeling passed through her entire body. As if the desert had found its oasis, every pore of her body celebrated that warm energy.

At the same time, Maria could feel the space ring she had hidden in the pouch burning up.

‘What’s going on?’ Maria thought as the beast closing in on her suddenly stopped as a blinding light emerged around Maria.

Maria frowned and looked at the space ring since the space ring was made by the store owner. She couldn’t let anything happen to it.

Maria hurriedly pushed her senses inside the ring and finally found the item behind the ruckus. An expression of excitement appeared on Maria’s face when she saw the item.
