1224 Little Ghost Demon!

Chapter 1224: Little Ghost Demon!

Ignoring the gruesome scenes around him, Aakesh continued and soon reached the city. It was like a giant was looking down on Aakesh.

The guards standing at the gate were looking coldly at everyone entering the city. Since there was no entry fee or search, Aakesh stepped inside the entrance.

The next moment, the smell of blood wafted around his nose. Aakesh turned in that direction and saw a man tearing through a man’s limbs while the bystanders kept walking, ignoring the scene.

“Hey, are you new to the city?” Aakesh was also going to walk when he found someone calling to him.

Aakesh turned around in surprise and saw a boy standing there, smiling widely. The boy had suddenly appeared behind him without even noticing his presence.

It was a short being that only came up to Aakesh’s waist, but it wasn’t a dwarf. The boy belonged to the Little Ghost Demon race, a rare race with exceedingly few numbers and extinct in the Primal and Sacred Dimensions.

The boy had pale, wheatish skin with dark patches around his fingers. He had no legs and was floating in the air, while his private parts dangled in the air.

After recognizing the race of the boy, Aakesh finally understood why he didn’t sense the boy’s presence. The Little Ghost Demons were one of the stealthiest races in the Multiverse.

Aakesh knew nothing about the city he was in, so he decided to ask the boy about it.

“What city is this?” Aakesh inquired.

Even though Aakesh asked a question instead of answering, the boy got the answer to his question after Aakesh’s inquiry. But then a look of pity appeared on the boy’s face.

“You came here without even knowing about it,” the boy commented with pity.

“This is Unleavable City,” The boy added.

The city’s name was straightforward, so Aakesh understood what it meant. He also finally understood why he didn’t see any being leaving the city.

“You see that person,” The boy commented, pointing at the man, who had just gotten his legs torn.

“He tried to leave the city, and to punish him, the city sentenced his legs to get torn,” He added. The boy’s tone contained no sympathy for the man; instead, there was a gloating expression on his face as if he liked what occurred to the man.

“Why does the city not allow the people to leave?” Aakesh asked, clearly curious about the reason.

The city in front of him was one of the grandest cities he had seen in reality or in Panagea, and to do that, there needed to be a prosperous route for trading. But since the city didn’t allow anyone to leave, how could the city become this large and affluent?

There was the smell of blood, but then there was also the emotion of joy on people’s faces as if they sincerely liked to live in the city.

“No one knows. This has been going on for as far as the history of the city goes,” The bow answered.

Aakesh then asked a few more questions and then turned left after paying some tips to the boy.

When Aakesh handed the Soul stones to the boy, a look of disgust appeared on the boy’s face, and he threw them on the ground.

“Do you think I am some poor boy who needs to take money to help someone?” The boy commented, and then, to shock Aakesh, he took out a mountain of Soul stones from his space ring.

Aakesh didn’t expect such a violent reaction from the boy, but since he had already handed the Soul stones once, he let go of them. Whether the boy took it or threw it depended on him, and Aakesh didn’t care.

As for the shocked expression, the boy wanted to generate it but never did. Aakesh had witnessed incredibly priceless items that not even countless Soul stones could purchase, so the stones in front of him were nothing.

Since Aakesh had gathered the basic information about the city, he turned around and left. The boy stood there dumbfounded by Aakesh’s indifferent reaction to the Soul stones.

“Oh, it seems someone good has entered the city,” A voice rang in the boy’s ears.

The boy squirmed when he heard the voice. He slowly turned his head, and when he saw the man, his face turned bloodless, even paler than his already incredibly pale skin.

“Fath-” The boy called out, but before he could even complete it, the man roughly grabbed him and left. The man took one last glance at Aakesh before leaving.

As Aakesh entered deeper into the city, he found it becoming grander and more affluent. At the same time, beings above Level 300 became normal. Aakesh even saw many Level 350+ beings of different races.

Just to travel to every corner of the city would take months, but since the last thing Aakesh lacked was time, he patiently traveled.

As for the point of not being able to leave, Aakesh didn’t worry about it. The city had ignited curiosity in his heart, so now he wanted answers.

Aakesh was traveling when he suddenly stopped and turned to his left. The next moment, he found a female creature staring at him while licking her lips.

Suddenly, the woman started coming toward him.

“Hero, what do you say about a night?” The woman called out when she saw Aakesh ignoring her and leaving.

For a moment, she was stunned since it was the first time she had approached someone, and the other party rejected it.

Aakesh ignored the call and kept walking, but he had no choice but to stop as the woman suddenly appeared ahead of him.

The woman seemed angry at Aakesh’s ignoring her despite her calling out to him.

She had been in this profession for years. Whenever she lacked money, she would present herself and then earn enough to live comfortably for decades in a single night. It was when she was extremely particular about the guy, but Aakesh turned that situation upside down for her.

Aakesh looked at the woman in surprise since her level was clearly lower than his, but she still appeared ahead of him.
