1206 New Store Assistant(1)
Chapter 1206: New Store Assistant(1)
The innumerable participants found themselves in different locations alone. The cultivation level of the customers varied from those who couldn’t cultivate to peak Immortals.
Lily was one such participant. She belonged to the Human race and was born long after the mysterious store owner returned to the Sacred Dimension. Her name was based on the mysterious furry creature who stayed with the store owner.
After entering the crack-like portal, she found herself in a small village with a high level of affluence.
There were only a few hundred people in the village, but each of them was extremely strong, and the area was filled with different kinds of resources.
The participants entered the contest with no past knowledge, talent, or cultivation, so Lily’s power level was like a blank slate.
As per the store manager, the village would be her training area for a month, and then she would have to face off against the innumerable participants to proceed ahead.
The month of training wasn’t simple training, as could be seen from the affluence and the resources in the village. Lily had no lack of resources, but the time was lacking.
She only had one month left, and she needed to choose one thing and focus on that to proceed further and even win the competition.
“Hello, stranger!” As Lily was traveling around the village, she suddenly heard someone calling out to her.
Lily stopped in her steps and turned around. A human male was approaching her with a smile.
Lily felt chill as from the smile, the man’s intention didn’t seem to be any good. She tried to walk away, but suddenly she found herself frozen while the man’s speed grew, with the eerie smile on his face widened.
Soon after, the man reached her. Lily immediately attacked with whatever minuscule strength she had.
The man was stumped for a moment, but he soon came around and caught Lily’s punch.
“Why are you attacking me?” The man seemed shell-shocked by Lily’s reaction, so he asked.
“Why wouldn’t she? Have you seen your face?”

The first man’s lips twitched while a vein popped out on his forehead as he looked at the approaching man. He then turned to Lily and looked at her with a questioning expression.
Lily immediately moved her head down and started looking at the road, her face red from embarrassment. She understood she had mistaken the man for someone with evil intentions due to his eerie smile.
The vein on the man’s forehead got even bigger when he noticed Lily’s reaction. He then left Lily’s hands and walked out.
When he saw the girl, the thought of training her appeared in his head, so he approached her. Now that he had seen the exaggerated reaction due to his disfigured appearance, he felt repulsed by Lily.
The second man walked out to Lily and looked at her with an expression of interest.
“Garip doesn’t take kindly to those who mock his appearance,” The man commented with a laugh.
“You are good. Despite being a weak creature, you still attacked and tried to fight,” Bazir added with a smile. Then, without asking for Lily’s reaction, he grabbed her forehead.
The next moment, Lily felt a warm energy passing through her body. Still, she immediately acted and tried to move away.
But she didn’t have to, as the man let go of her forehead immediately. A curious expression appeared on the man’s face as he looked at Lily.
“You are just like a blank slate,” Bazir commented, clearly interested in Lily.
“Do you want to train?” He asked.
Lily, who had been silent all that moment, looked up with a glint in her eyes and nodded like a chicken. Lily thought of the sequence playing out in front of her as some kind of training event.
What she didn’t know was that she was correct in identifying that it was an opening sequence, but some got chosen by Garip while others did the same as Lily and were offered by Bazir. There were also some who refused Bazir and would have another opportunity.
Bazir smiled when he saw the attentive reaction from the girl, and hence, the month of training began.
The intensity of the training entirely depended on the disciple since the trainers were powerful beings who couldn’t get tired over years, let alone months.
Time was like a stream that kept flowing. Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours, hours turned into days, and so a month had passed in the blink of an eye.
Lily seemed nervous as the day of the first contest of the many arrived. The trainers were also aware of the arena but only thought of it as a contest organized by the Kingdom.
“With your effort, you will have no difficulty passing the first round,” Bazir commented after seeing Lily’s tense appearance.
Lily nodded, but she still couldn’t control her emotions well. The prize at stake was too much. If she lost, she might regret it for her entire life, turning her life upside down.
Bazir’s face suddenly turned solemn as heavy pressure appeared in the training room. Not long after, a door appeared out of nowhere. It was already open, and beyond it was only darkness.
Lily looked at Bazir and thanked him for the training. She then took a deep breath and walked forward, soon stepping into the door.
Bazir’s face was solemn and respectful; he didn’t even move. When Lily stepped inside, the doors closed, and in no time, it completely faded.
“She will win,” Bazir murmured with an anxious expression like never before. Since he also wanted Lily to survive. She was a good disciple and didn’t want her to die in the first round.

After stepping into the door, Lily found herself in a jungle, with no one in sight.
She didn’t have to look for someone, as the rules of the battle appeared in her head. There were only two rules; the first was teaming up, and the second was that there were no rules.
Participants could choose not to fight if their friends were on the other side, but they couldn’t form a group since it would be dangerous for other participants.
