1202 (2) Closing for the Day!
Chapter 1202: Closing for the Day!
Over time, the story had only become exaggerated, so the fear of the store owner had only grown in the minds of the citizens. The annual competition organized by the store only added to the fire, making the myth of Aakesh even stronger, seeing the powerful faces competing against each other.
Aakesh had already gotten used to seeing the hesitation in the eyes of the customers, so he waited for the man to enter the store.
While Aakesh was waiting, a fantastical scene occurred in the Primordial Dimension.
“MY BLOOD!” A loud roar rang in the vast grassland, shaking the fabric of space and time.
A beast that hadn’t opened its eyes for countless years now opened his eyes and roared toward the sky. The beast was gigantic, with its end nowhere in sight.
If Vritrasura were to be here, he would have recognized the beast as the one he defeated countless years ago. The beast was none other than Chronos, the master of time below the Devas.
Chronos was still healing from the battle with Vritrasura, but he suddenly sensed his bloodline, making him awake. Chronos then grew confused as he remembered that the Samaghir had died.

“You have woken up!” A casual, playful tone rang in Chronos’s ears.
Chronos could never forget the owner of the voice since that person was responsible for him being here. Despite years of passing, and even with the extra help of time, he had yet to recover even two-thirds of his strength.
Whenever Chronos remembered that battle, he would feel a chill crawl down his spine. He and Vritrasura were both of the same cultivation levels, but the power difference between the two was more expansive than the sky and the earth.
Chronos immediately tried to run away but suddenly found the space around him freezing. He tried to use the time element to slow down the space freeze, but instead of slowing down, it accelerated.
‘Who can be even better than me in time manipulation?’ Chronos was shocked, as he thought in his heart.
The next moment, a being stepped into the scene. It was a figure Chronos would never forget in his life. It was none other than Vritrasura.
“So, you were hiding here,” Vritrasura commented with a playful tone.
“How are you alive?” Chronos gave up on escaping and calmed down immediately. Since Vritrasura had appeared, there were no chances left of leaving. He then calmly asked since even though he was sleeping, he was still up to date with the important news in the Multiverse.
“You don’t need to know that. Come with me,” Vritrasura laughed and said.
Without waiting for Chronos’ response, he took a step in the air and soon disappeared into the void. Chronos didn’t know what was going on, but his body acted on its own, shocking him.
Chronos found that Vritrasura had grown even stronger than the last time they had fought.

“What do you think? You want to join me?” Vritrasura asked with a smile.
“Do I have a choice?” Chronos asked with a wry smile. After learning of Vritrasura’s plan, there was no way Vritrasura was leaving him alive if he didn’t join Vritrasura’s side.
“Yes, people always have a choice,” Vritrasura answered. Adding, “It’s just that with choices comes their reaction.”
“Even if I wanted, I can’t kill you, so it’s up to you whether to join me or not,” Seeing the silent Chronos, Vritrasura added after a pause.
Chronos looked up in shock at Vritrasura. “Does that mean, if I say no, you won’t harm me?” He asked.
“No, I won’t do anything of that sort. I am a changed man.”
Chronos couldn’t help but curse in his head since the plan suggested by Vrutrasura was even more brutal than what he had last committed.
“I didn’t say I have changed for the better,” Vritrasura laughed, seeing through Chronos’s thoughts.
“No, I won’t join your side,” Chronos answered after a long pause. Chronos didn’t try to escape after his answer since he understood the pointlessness of that action.
Vritrasura nodded and then waved his hands. The next moment, Chronos disappeared, leaving him standing there alone.
“Why did you let him leave after spilling your plan?” A familiar voice rang as a woman stepped out of the darkness. It was none other than Vritrasura’s daughter that Aakesh freed in the Conspiracy Continent.
Vritrasura’s eyes turned gentle as he looked at the woman. He then replied with a smile, “What makes you think that they aren’t aware of my plans?”
The woman had no answer to her father’s question since there was only one group that was stronger than his father, the Devas, and there was no limit to their power.
“Is it worth it?” The woman asked, looking at the pattern imprinted on her body.
“Yes, there is nothing in this world that could make me think otherwise,” Vritrasura stated with a smile. His eyes were filled with resolve.
“You are just a bunch of rule-following beings with no mind of your own,” Vritrasura mocked, his eyes passing over the roof and looking at the sky.
The sky seemed to sneer at Vritrasura’s jeer as a purple light flashed in the clouds.

Unaware of what was going on in the Primordial Dimension, Aakesh was in conversation with a customer.
Time flew by, and when there was around one hour left before sunset, a door appeared in mid-air in the store.
As the door opened, a furry, white creature stepped out of it. Not long after, the door reappeared, and this time, Khaval stepped out of the door.
Khaval didn’t look happy when he saw Lily already waiting on Aakesh’s bun. While Lily looked the opposite, with a jubilant smile.
Time flew by, and the sunset arrived in Thorr and its nearby cities. The cover of darkness engulfed the cities.
After every customer had left the store, Aakesh proceeded forward and closed the doors, bringing an end to a fruitful day for the store.
